EXCLUSIVE Sneak Peek at HBO's 'Angry Boys'
by Maggie Furlong, posted Nov 22nd 2011 11:00AM
HBO has a new comedy from the creator of cult-favorite 'Summer Heights High,' and AOL TV's got the exclusive first look at their new "living" one-sheet featuring five character previews and the official trailer.'Angry Boys' (premieres Sun., Jan. 1, 10PM ET on HBO) stars the multi-talented Chris Lilley as, well, everyone. From 17-year-old Australian twins and a 20-something rapper in L.A., to a surfing legend whose lost his manhood, the comedian/actor/writer triple threat shows off six new lovably loser-ish characters.
'Angry Boys' is "a comedy that refuses to grow up," according to HBO, and we couldn't be more excited about that. Exploring the dreams and aspirations of guys of all ages, all over the world, Lilley is bringing his brand of in-your-face funny and mockumentary style shooting back to HBO's primetime schedule.

Chris Lilley Fans, Get Even More Excited for 'Angry Boys' With a Full-Length Trailer and New Clips
by Jean Bentley, posted Apr 21st 2011 2:00PM
If you're not familiar with Chris Lilley's cult-hit Australian faux-documentary series 'Summer Heights High,' then the idea of one white Aussie dude playing a set of identical twins (one deaf), their prison guard grandmother, the pushy entrepreneur Asian mother of a professional skateboarding son, a washed-up surfer and an African-American rapper (yes, there is blackface) kind of sounds terrible. But if you've memorized the catchphrases of Aussie teenagers Ja'mie and Jonah and their drama teacher Mr. G, the full trailer for Lilley's new series, 'Angry Boys,' produced in conjunction with HBO, will be the greatest seven minutes and 55 seconds of your life.
Like no offense, but it's true.
Watch out for the sneaky nuts in the full trailer after the jump, along with a couple of other clips from the series. (Warning: Lilley's humor isn't exactly vulgar, but it's not for everyone.) 'Angry Boys' is allegedly "coming soon." Not soon enough, though ...
