The Duggars Are Expecting Baby Number 20 (VIDEO)

by Catherine Lawson, posted Nov 8th 2011 9:11AM
DuggarsNot even the threat of pre-eclampsia or premature birth can slow down Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar in their quest to expand their already huge family: They announced this morning on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM ET on NBC) that they are expecting their 20th child together.

Telling Ann Curry that she's three and a half months pregnant, 45 year-old Michelle said "We're due in April and we're just thrilled!" Ever the joker, Jim Bob quipped "We don't know how it happened!" Michelle added, "We are so excited. I was not thinking that God would give us another one, and we are just so grateful." The couple had hinted last night on their blog that they'd be making a "special announcement" this morning, but many assumed it would be about another grandchild.

When Curry asked the question that most of us are thinking -- WHY?! -- Michelle said they live by the motto "There's always room for one more." Plus, as Jim Bob says, one kid just moved out to start his own family so there was space available in Casa Duggar.

Watch the happy couple's announcement after the jump.

Today Halloween Costumes'Today' (weekdays, 7AM ET on NBC) took the Royal Wedding, the biggest crossover news story of the year, and turned it into one very spectacular group Halloween costume.

Ann Curry slipped into a version of Kate Middleton's stunning gown, Al Roker donned his best wig and dressed as Prince Harry, Natalie Morales channeled her best Pippa, and Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb put on their party hats and dressed as Beatrice and Eugenie, the daughters of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.

Linda Evans Assures Ann Curry That She Doesn't Actually Hate Joan Collins (VIDEO)

by Alex Moaba, posted Oct 12th 2011 2:00PM
Yesterday, Savannah Guthrie and Natalie Morales prepared for 'Today''s (weekdays, 9AM ET on NBC) interview with former 'Dynasty' star Linda Evans by staging a hair-pulling catfight of their own. Wednesday, Evans stopped by the studio herself to relive the classic scene with Ann Curry.

Curry asked if it was hard for Evans to be so hateful to Joan Collins, and Evans seemed taken aback by the implication. "I love to do stunts ... Barbara Stanwick got me involved in stunts when I did 'Big Valley,' so this was a lot of fun, it has nothing to do with hate, it was just choreographed," she protested.

Ann Curry and Soleil Moon Frye on 'Today'Soleil Moon Frye was famous at age seven for playing the proverbial precocious kid on 'Punky Brewster.' Now 35, she's married with kids of her own, has her own clothing line at Target, and is also a parenting and social media guru. Her memoir, 'Happy Chaos,' covers her life from child star to mom. Frye spoke with Ann Curry Tuesday on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM on NBC) and tried to give people, especially mothers, a bit of inspiration.

The name of the book comes from Frye's attitude toward her household. "I don't know about you and your house, but it's insanity, you know what I mean?" she said. "Like, it's crazy at all hours, and I think we need to give ourselves a little freedom and cut ourselves a little slack and just do the best we can do."

Chris Hansen Loses 'Dateline' Anchor Job After Scandal

by Catherine Lawson, posted Jul 11th 2011 7:45AM
Chris Hansen'To Catch a Predator' host Chris Hansen has been embroiled in a scandal since reports surfaced that he'd been caught cheating on his wife.

Now it seems that the scandal may have cost him more than just marital harmony -- it may also have cost him a much-coveted job.

According to 'The New York Post,' NBC was set to name Hansen as the new 'Dateline' anchor next month after current anchor Ann Curry landed the top job at 'Today,' but the plan has been scrapped by NBC brass, who believe the scandal has damaged Hansen.

The 'Post' quotes a source as saying that "Hansen was to be announced as a lead anchor. ... While NBC is publicly playing down the scandal, it's thrown their plans into disarray. Kate Snow may now have to get the job, but she's been on the show only a year."

Kenny Chesney Reflects on Tuscaloosa Tornado Relief Show, Performs on 'Today' (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Jun 17th 2011 2:10PM
Ann Curry, Kenny Chesney, and Grace Potter on 'Today'When tornadoes ravaged the Tuscaloosa area last month, Kenny Chesney had a choice - reschedule the May 25 Tuscaloosa stop on his Goin' Coastal Tour, or go ahead and play the show as planned. It was a difficult decision, he told Ann Curry Friday on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM on NBC), but he played the show and donated the proceeds to tornado relief.

Chesney was torn at the time - he wasn't sure if it would be more rude to play the show or not play the show. "The mayor just told us that these people need something to look forward to," he said. "I'm a total believer that music is the biggest healer ever. That's why we decided to go play, and it was one of the best nights of our tour so far."

Chesney then performed his song 'You & Tequilla,' a duet with Grace Potter, from his apparently alcohol-themed album, 'Hemingway's Whiskey.'
