Annie Wersching on Jack and Renee's Romance and the End of '24'
by Mike Moody, posted Apr 12th 2010 2:00PM
'24' is almost over, but Jack Bauer is about to face one of his toughest challenges yet -- trying to start a romantic relationship with Annie Wersching's Renee Walker.Jack and Renee take a well-deserved break from kicking bad guy ass to explore their romantic feelings for each other on tonight's much-anticipated episode.
I recently got a chance to talk with Wersching, who plays Renee on '24,' about tonight's big ep. We also talked about the fan reaction to her character and where Renee might be headed after the show ends. Wersching stayed mum about whether things would actually "work out" between Jack and Renee, but she promised that the show's final hours would deliver some surprising twists and turns that no one, not even Jack Bauer, could see coming.
Head after the jump for the interview.
5 Questions With: Annie Wersching
by Kim Potts, posted Feb 20th 2009 6:00AM
"I was the biggest fan of the show! I had seen every episode of every season. So it was very exciting, and very surreal, to be auditioning for the show." Could it be? After six seasons of death and heartbreak, could '24' hero Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) finally find love in season 7 in the form of ... Girl Jack? That would be FBI Agent Renee Walker (Annie Wersching), a smart, fierce, talented operative who's proving to be quite Jack-worthy in the tracking of President-blackmailing terrorists.
St. Louis native Wersching, who starred on 'General Hospital' and has had guest gigs on shows like 'Supernatural,' 'Frasier,' 'Angel' and 'Boston Legal,' landed the high-profile role after working with '24' producer Joel Surnow and director Jon Cassar on the pilot for 'Company Man,' a spy drama that failed to make the Fox lineup in 2007.
Wersching talked to AOL TV about how she's enjoying kicking major baddie butt on '24,' whether Jack and Girl Jack might find time for a little romance while saving the world and about co-star Sutherland's driving skills.
