Building B has pulled back the curtain on its set top box, which for some reason it's calling Sezmi. While the name makes the box sound like some sort of blogging service, it's actually a content delivery system that combines over the air high definition television with broadband video delivery.

The box has a 1TB hard drive for storing video the company pushes out over the internet, which lets it work as a sort of video on demand unit. But it's also got a terrestrial antenna for tuning into your local network affiliates, assuming you can get good reception. We use a terrestrial antenna in my household, and while most networks come in crystal clear, we have a hard time picking up CBS or PBS.

It's not clear at this point what kind of content will be available through Sezmi, as the company hasn't announced any partners yet. There's also no word on the pricing yet, but Building B has begun private beta tests of the Sezmi with a larger pilot launch scheduled for later this year.

(S04E11) Man, I love this show. Even more, I love how incestuous the entire Adult Swim family is. How funny was the cameo from George "Space Ghost" Lowe? He's been on the show a few times before, but never playing himself. It was a riot. Favorite part? When he tried to charge Meatwad forty bucks for an autographed picture. Meatwad said for that price, it better come with a hand-job. George's response? "Oh... it does!" Even funnier was when we found out that Meatwad had no idea what an HJ was.

This show could honestly go on forever. Anything could become a topic. ATHF is like the Seinfeld of animated shows. It really is about nothing and I love it.

Rabbit ears, or television antennas, could soon become a relic of the past. A new poll, out in time for the CES convention in Las Vegas, finds that 22% of Americans get their television "over the air". That is, through television waves transmitted by stations. The big powerhouse for television is cable, with 51% of people receiving their signal that way. Only 26% of American households have satellites. The report says the findings "are significant, because they indicate that analog services are now the minority in the TV marketplace." Interestingly, the poll also found that 25% of adults have a DVR hooked up to the television set.

Personally, I like DirecTV and TiVo over rather than cable. How do you prefer to get your television?
