At 10AM ET on Wednesday, December 14, we are rolling the final credits on AOL TV and launching an all-new site, HuffPost TV.

HuffPost TV is no mere spin-off. All your favorite characters, including TV critic Maureen Ryan and West Coast editor Maggie Furlong, are making the leap, and so are all the features and listings pages you have come to rely on. Chris Harnick and Crystal Bell will continue to serve up the latest news from the wild and wonderful world of TV, and TV Replay will still be your one-stop destination for addictive video clips and highlights from across the grid.

We're doing some spring cleaning here at AOL TV, and big changes are coming to the Inside TV blog in April.

In a few weeks, Inside TV will be joining forces with TV Squad to create a bigger, better TV blog. The blog will keep the TV Squad name and URL, and get a fresh new look (seen in the screen shot above).

A big change is coming to TV Squad in April, and I wanted to let our loyal fans in on the plans ahead of time.

At some point next month, your favorite TV blog will be combining forces with the Inside TV blog from AOL TV to create a bigger, better TV Squad. In the process, we're going to be getting a new look, which is depicted above and in screen shots after the jump.

What does that mean for you, loyal TV Squad reader? Well, a few things:

A cleaner look: The new site's look will be a little less cluttered than our current version, which was redesigned eons ago in internet terms (2007, to be exact). This will allow for a more appealing viewing experience. It allows us to display bigger pictures and videos, and we'll be able to have some more flexibility with our format.

More voices, but a familiar tone: In addition to the TV Squad writers you know and love/hate, we'll also be incorporating the excellent writers at Inside TV. But don't worry; we'll still be the same opinionated dorks we've always been.

In fact, our writers will be more opinionated than ever. In the near future, expect to see longer-form opinion essays, critical pieces, lists, columns and other features from both your favorite Squadders as well as the Inside TV team. You might have noticed some of that already; expect more in the coming months.

I know, I know, you're thinking, those are the only two choices I get, Happy Days and Gilligan's Island? Yes, according to this poll over at AOL Television. For the past several weeks they've pit various TV show theme songs against each other in a tournament, and the two finalists, for some reason, are Happy Days theme and the Gilligan's Island theme.

Now, it seems like these aren't the "best" theme songs, just the ones that readers and TV fans thought were the most iconic, or maybe it's the fact that they both have lyrics and that's what readers were looking for?

Our friends at AOL TV have launched a new video site today that they're pretty proud of. The new site, SlashControl, provides thousands of free full-length TV episodes of current and past TV shows, as well as lots of free full-length movies.

Navigation is fairly simple: go to either "Free Movies" or "Free TV Shows" and click on the first letter of the show or movie you want to watch. Shows are also easily searchable and grouped by season. Through AOL's partnerships with Hulu, ABC, CBS, Showtime, and a number of other providers, the list of available shows is fairly comprehensive. For shows that don't have full episodes available, there are plenty of embeddable clips available for viewing.

After taking a quick stroll through the site, the interface looks pretty easy to use and navigate, and it's always good to look for what you want on one site instead of all over the place. So take a look at SlashControl; hopefully, it'll only suck away half your day instead of the whole thing.

No, I'm not talking about the first Darrin being replaced on Bewitched. I'm talking about real, big controversies that not only affected the TV world, but the real world, as well. AOL has chosen the 20 greatest TV controversies of all-time.

Included on the list are the Letterman/Palin battle, the Aqua Teen Hunger Force bomb scare in Boston, the Smothers Brothers political controversy, the quiz show scandals, and a certain nipple that made a cameo appearance at a rather important sporting event.

This isn't some random thought I suddenly had this morning, it's actually in response to AOL Television's list of the 40 best TV shows of the 1970s. The Odd Couple, one of the great, laugh-out-loud comedies of all-time, comes in at number 21, while The Brady Bunch comes in at number 15. Sometimes shows can't be judged the same (for example, comedy vs. drama or drama vs. animated), but come on, The Brady Bunch so far ahead of The Odd Couple?

I don't think I'm giving anything away by revealing that shows like The Mary Tyler Moore Show, M*A*S*H, and All in the Family are at the top, but there are a few entries that you and your friends can argue about.

Mother's Day is Sunday, but we all have to realize that not every mom deserves a box of chocolates, a nice dinner, or a bouquet of flowers. AOL has their picks for the worst TV moms of all time, and a lot of the usual suspects are on the list. I think we can all agree that Marie Barone on Everybody Loves Raymond should be on the list. She clearly loves her kids, but...wow, how manipulative and pushy and meddling can a person get?

Evelyn Harper from Two and a Half Men is on the list, too. She's such a bad mom that it's sometimes easy to forget that she's even Charlie and Alan's mother. She seems more like some older, sexy aunt or something.

Hunks are in the eye of the beholder apparently. When I read -- drooled -- over the hunks chosen as the 50 Hottest Hunks Ever by our friends at AOL (that's a long time), I couldn't help but wonder about the guys that just missed the cut. I made a list. It was longer than the dozen men listed here, but these were the ones that I wanted included because they make my toes tingle.

Unlike Debra -- nice choices, Deb -- I've refrained from putting pictures of these hunks on my walls, but I sure have followed them from show to show, enjoying every moment when they were forced to take off their shirts or flex their muscles.

Bruce Campbell
Oh, Bruce! He is such a hunk. Remember The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.? He was the epitome of the western hero, looking great in black with a cowboy hat, on a horse. And that killer smile. Now, on Burn Notice, he's sort of an older hunk with the great Tommy Bahama shirts and perpetual five o'clock shadow, but still great looking. And since I was fortunate enough to meet him -- on a set visit -- I can tell you that he's a really an eyeful up close. I'd love to be in his arms any time!

All this month, AOL TV is publishing their list of TV's hottest hunks of all time. That's a lot of hunks, but probably they won't all be memorable to you -- or to me.

Because when were you swooning over TV hunks? When you were a teenager, of course. Unless you are really, really immature. But seriously, I am guessing that beyond the age of 16 or so, you probably didn't plaster any Teen Magazine pin-ups on your bedroom walls.

As a teenager of the '80s, I surely had my favorite TV hunks. Yep, they were plastered on my bedroom walls, too: imagine hunk wallpaper and you've got the idea. So who on TV mingled amongst the movie actors of the Brat Pack?

It's Halloween, so you know that like most holidays we're seeing more and more TV-related lists. AOL TV has picked the top 20 witches of all-time.

I have to admit that when I first saw this piece I couldn't even name 20 witches that we've had on television. Sure, I immediately thought of Samantha and Endora on Bewitched, Willow on Buffy, The Vampire Slayer, Tabitha on Passions, and the girls from Charmed, but after that I really had to scratch my head on how they were going to come up with 20. But then I saw that they extended the rules to include witches from cartoons and TV movies, so after that it's probably pretty easy. Though I think it's an easy way out to pick all the girls from Charmed.

Witchipoo from H.R. Pufnstuf is there, as is the girl from Wizards of Waverly Place. I've never seen this movie Worst Witch they speak of, but they pick more than one witch from it so maybe it's more well known than I realize. I love the fact they picked Amanda from Tucker's Witch.

Of course, the list isn't perfect. Nancy Grace isn't on it.

When I read AOL's Top 20 Best Game Shows of All Time, I pretty much agreed with all the choices. I might have moved Password up a bit, and dropped Who Wants to Be A Millionaire to a lower slot, but the one selection that really made me glower was The Price Is Right as number one.

No, no, not to me. For me, the only choice for numero uno is Jeopardy. It's not a game of chance or luck or random spins of a wheel. It's all about brains and thinking on your feet. And maybe having really fast thumbs. Merv Grifffin's creation remains the best gameshow ever in my book.

As I was thinking about Jeopardy, I realized that for me, the best Jeopardy is not today's Alex Trebek version. I mean, it's great -- don't misunderstand me. It's the one I still prefer to watch today, but my favorite Jeopardy remains the pre-syndication edition, the one that played on NBC daytime from 1964-1975. No, I'm not nuts. I have five very good reasons why I prefer the original, classic Jeopardy.

AOL TV is listing the 50 sexiest women ever on television, and each week they release another ten picks. The list includes everyone from classic television actresses like Loni Anderson and Pat Priest to newcomers like Ali Larter and Sophia Bush. My favorite on the list so far is Jennifer Garner, hottie who can kick butt.

Their list inspired some of us female bloggers at TV Squad to make our own lists ... of TV's sexiest men. It's a much shorter one -- and we only focus on the good-looking men of TV today -- but I think you'll like it.

The weather is getting colder. The leaves are changing colors. Well, if you live in California like me, neither of those things are happening. But Thanksgiving is coming soon. So, it's time to eat turkey, take naps and play touch football out in the brisk autumn air. And, it's time to think about what you're thankful for...on television, that is.

AOL TV wants to know what readers are thankful for on television or, I guess, pertaining to television. Any shows you are loving this fall? I'll admit it: I'm a sucker for blooper shows. The ones from sitcoms and dramas where the actors screw up are OK, but the great ones are from news broadcasts, because not only are the shows live, but they're supposed to be very straightforward and serious most of the time. You can see some sort of minor blooper on almost every news broadcast, but the ones here at AOL TV aren't minor. Like the newsanchor that has a tooth fall out of his mouth while live on the air, or the college weatherman who is incredibly nervous and gives one of the worst weather forecasts you'll ever see. Or the guy who tries to stuff a dollar bill down the cleavage of a reporter and the massive slips of the tongue on a live show. And then there's something everyone will like, the prank caller who manages to get on Nancy Grace's show and call her something we'd all like to call her.

Oh, and the next time you're watching your local news, and you think that the meteorologist or the anchorperson is lame or silly, remember this weatherman from the Charlotte, NC TV station (second video down). Wow. (He was eventually fired after rehab and now works at KREX-TV in Denver.)
