Paris Hilton Arrested on Cocaine Charges

by PopEater Staff, posted Aug 28th 2010 11:00AM
Paris HiltonWhat happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas, as Paris Hilton learned when Las Vegas police pulled over the car she was in just before midnight and allegedly found a white powder in her purse that, upon testing, proved to be cocaine.

The celebutante was then arrested on suspicion of possessing cocaine, and booked into the Clark County detention center, according to ABC News. She was soon released on bail.

The socialite, 29, was in the passenger seat of a car driven by a male thought to be her boyfriend, nightclub owner Cy Waits. Why was Hilton pulled over near the Wynn Hotel and Casino in the first place? Las Vegas police spokesman Marcus Martin told the Associated Press cops thought they smelled marijuana coming from the car:

"Officers noticed a vehicle leaving a smoke trail of a controlled substance [and] made a stop based on that." He added that a crowd gathered to witness the police stop after Hilton was recognized by passers-by.

Food Network Chef Gets Cooked by the Cops

by Danny Gallagher, posted Feb 10th 2010 6:02PM
It seems that one of the stars of the Food Networks' "Worst Chefs in America" is also one of America's worst drivers.

Beau MacMillan, one of the show's stars, told TMZ that he got nabbed by the fuzz in Arizona over the weekend on an outstanding warrant for an unpaid traffic ticket.

He claimed he was pulled over for failing to stop at a red light and when police ran his driver's license, they found a warrant attached to his record. MacMillan said the warrant was for an unpaid ticket caught by a traffic enforcement camera, but he never received the ticket because he had moved to a new address. He also missed his court date because he was in New York filming for his show. So get ready for Food Network's newest show, "Worst Chefs in America's Penal System."

Duane "Dog" Chapman and son arrested in Hawaii - BREAKING NEWS

by Keith McDuffee, posted Sep 14th 2006 2:31PM
duane chapmanMSNBC just this afternoon broke the news that Duane "Dog" Chapman, star of the Dog the Bounty Hunter reality show on A&E, was arrested in at his home by United States Marshals for an extradition hearing to Mexico. Mexican authorities are requesting that Chapman be extradited for kidnapping charges related to Chapman's capture of Andrew Luster.

[Update: Chapman, his brother, Tim, and son, Leland were apprehended at Chapman's home separately. Chapman's wife Beth goes on to say that the Federal Marshals explained Chapman was being charged with "deprivation of liberty of Andrew Luster." Bounty hunting, incidentally, is illegal in Mexico.

Luster is a Max Factor heir, and when Dog first caught him in 2003, Dog spent three days in a Mexican jail over the incident. Dog the Bounty Hunter was in the midst of producing its fourth season during this most recent arrest. Luster is currently serving time on three rape convictions.]
