Did Megan Fox Have a 'Thumb Double' in her Super Bowl Ad?
by Danny Gallagher, posted Feb 12th 2010 7:25AM
The Internet has been buzzing over Megan Fox's bathtub ad for Motorola during the Super Bowl... about her thumb?!? (sigh) Oh Internet, will you never learn? Apparently, rumors are growing that the makers of the commercial had a hand model serve for the bathing beauty (literally! Wocka, Wocka!) because of her condition, brachydactyly, better known as "clubbed thumb."
Asylum's Brett Smiley compared images from the commercial to Fox's actual hands and found some alarming differences. He also called the cell phone giant for an explanation and was met with a thousand variations of the phrase "It's part of our corporate policy not to comment on rumor or speculation."
Meet Paul Linnman, the reporter who covered the infamous exploding whale
by Danny Gallagher, posted Nov 30th 2009 9:02PM
Some think that only certain stories define a reporter's career and nothing could be further from the truth. Just ask TV reporter Paul Linnman who since the dawn of the Internet has been dubbed as the "exploding whale guy." He's covered all sorts of amazing stories, people and moments around the world, but his most famous story is one of a beached whale that Oregon Department of Transportation officials tried to blow up with a ton of dynamite.
Still, Linnman was nice enough to sit down with me and discuss that infamous day in TV history when the blubber hit the fan (as well as the cameras, a flattened car and about 75 onlookers) for an interview at Asylum.com.
