Here's the first picture from the new season of Mad Men
OK, I'll just link to this picture from the set of Mad Men, since it's kinda (though not really) spoilery. It gives a clue as to what year the show is going to be set in and what happens to two of the major characters. Probably not a huge surprise considering how season two ended, but it's interesting to have a confirmation when it comes to what year the show will be set in.Spike TV + Dunkin Donuts = a really weird commercial

The Office: Company Picnic (season finale)
(S05E26) Driving home tonight, I got a text from my wife: "Wow wow wow Office... just wow! Rivals 'Casino Night!'" That kind of praise has the potential to ruin what would normally be a very good episode, if only because you're prepared for something extraordinary. So far, only three things in my life have ever lived up to the hype: Heath Ledger in The Dark Knight, sex, and Cadbury Flake bars. Everything else has been kind of a letdown.
I was worried, then, that my wife's words would condemn tonight's Office to be more meh than magnificent. After all, we're not at the end of a grand storyline like we have been the last few season finales -- part of what made "Casino Night" so special was that it was the culmination of two years of Jim's pining away for Pam.
I just didn't think "Company Picnic" would be able to pull off that kind of greatness as a standalone episode ...
Monty Python's Terry Jones is going to be a dad. Again. Yeah.
I must be way behind on all the Monty Python hot gossip because, well, I didn't know there was gong to be any more hot gossip. Surely I am not the only one that completely missed this whole story about Terry Jones leaving his wife of thirty-some years for a much younger model, forty years his junior. Now, as if that wasn't enough to boggle my mind for a good day or so, here comes to news that 67 year-old Jones is about to become a father again. Regardless of how you feel about this situation ethically, you've got to admit, that's ... pretty wild.
Private Practice: Who is the father of Violet's baby?
There is one episode left in this second season of Private Practice and we still don't know who is the father of Violet's baby is. Are you getting tired like me of this ongoing mystery? Since the reveal may happen during next week's season finale, it's time we make our predictions as to who is the father of the baby: Sheldon or Pete? Place your bets in our poll after the jump! The rest of the post contains information revealed in last night's episode so proceed with caution.
Grey's gossip: Will Mer and Der have a baby?
Is it just me or there seems to be a baby boom in Hollywood this TV season? This is probably the 73rd post we've written here at TV Squad this year about a TV actress being pregnant, wondering how it will affect the show she stars in.When the two lead actresses of How I Met Your Mother announced they were pregnant, the writers decided not to write the pregnancies in and go for the "hiding the belly under big clothes or things" option instead. They even shot the season finale months before they would have usually done so they could have the two actresses in reasonable shape.
People announced that Grey's Anatomy lead actress Ellen Pompeo is pregnant with her first child, while reminding us that Chyler Leigh, who plays Pompeo's half-sister, is due in May. We know that Shonda Rhimes decided not to have Lexie be pregnant but what about Meredith?
Warning! The rest of this post contains spoilers about upcoming episodes.
Hell freezes over: Letterman gets married
I just checked the Weather Channel and it does indeed look like hell has frozen over. After many years of dating his girlfriend Regina, not to mention having a baby boy with her, Late Show host David Letterman will reveal on tonight's show that he got married to his longtime girlfriend Regina last Thursday in a courthouse in Montana.
This is big for Letterman. He was married once before but it didn't go well, and he has always said that he made a mistake getting married (often apologizing to the woman he used to be married to) and that he didn't want to ruin the good thing he had going with his girlfriend. Many guests, especially Julia Roberts, have made jokes with Letterman, wondering when he was going to make his girlfriend his wife. Looks like getting older puts these things into your mind. First the child, now the marriage. Hopefully retirement won't be in the near future.
Something tells me that someone, somewhere has just lost a big bet.
Live from New York...Amy Poehler has a baby boy
How appropriate! Amy Poehler has given birth to her first child today, a baby boy. He is now officially known as Saturday Poehler Arnett. No, just kidding. The baby's name hasn't been announced yet. But considering Amy's connection to Saturday Night Live, it's just perfect that her baby came on Saturday.According to sources, Amy was in labor all day. Yeah, that's right. Instead of rehearsing for the show, she was in the hospital with her legs up, sucking on ice chips and generally concentrating on her breathing and listening to soothing music.
Seriously, when you consider that Amy was doing that Sarah Palin rap just a week ago, you realize how far along she was and still doing the comedy business. Kudos to Amy! However, don't expect to see Baby Mama Amy back on SNL too soon. She's taking a well deserved maternity leave.
It's a son for Elisabeth Hasselbeck of The View and Survivor
Ex-Survivor: Australian Outback castaway and current The View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck called her daytime talk show to let her co-workers know the name of her baby boy born over the weekend.Although it's November sweeps, I doubt she planned the timing of the birth to boost ratings. Perhaps the phone call, though! In her call to the show she told them that Taylor Thomas Hasselbeck was born at 7:52 am on Friday morning.
Elisabeth's husband is Tim Hasselbeck, a back-up quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals.

Today on TV Squad Daily:
- Really really miss The Sopranos? Maybe you need one of these bricks.
- The American Idol baby should get to be on the show! It would be unfair, but awesome.
- Grey's Anatomy's Ellen Pompeo went off about Hollywood glorifying rich girls for no good reason.
American Idol contestant goes into labor, keeps singing
Antoria Gillan really, really wants to be on American Idol. At nine months pregnant, she was auditioning for the show in Dallas earlier this week. Maybe it was all that standing around that contestants have to do... but Antoria went into labor just before it was her turn to sing for the judges. Amazingly, she ignored the contractions and sang her heart out. Then she went directly to the hospital and gave birth to a baby boy she named Jamil Labarron Idol McCowan. He weighed in at 6 pounds, 7 ounces.First of all: good for her for incorporating her unique labor experience into his name in a tasteful way. Second of all: you go girl! Apparently it was worth the pain and suffering, because Antoria got the go-ahead to Hollywood! I'm sure Fox got it all on camera, so expect to see Antoria and baby Jamil next January during auditions highlights.
It's a boy for Jenna Elfman
In other baby news, actress Jenna Elfman gave birth to a boy last week. She and her husband, Bodhi, named their son Story Elias. He weighed 7 pounds, two ounces.Jenna has been laughing through her pregnancy and birth. When she was late term, she did this trash-talking basketball video with her belly hanging out. And the official statement about her birth is just as funny. It says Story is already a fan of "classical music, a clean diaper, mom's boobs and long naps. Story wants to give big props to his mom for all her hard work." Cute.
Hopefully we'll be seeing Jenna on television sometime soon. She had a short-lived show, Courting Alex, last season but it wasn't as good as she is.
The Bachelorette couple has a baby boy
Trista and Ryan Sutter are parents to a baby boy! The couple met on The Bachelorette in 2002 and, unlike any other relationship on that series, these two stayed together.According to Celebrity Baby Blog, the little boy was born via c-section on Friday at a hospital in Vail, Colorado, which is where the couple lives. Trista had some complications late in her pregnancy, as she was suffering from both preeclampsia and gestational diabetes, and their son was born a month before his due date. An official statement from the couple says "everyone's doing great".
Trista and Ryan named their son Maxwell Alston. He was a 5 pounds, 3 ounces.
Jenna Elfman and her baby play basketball - VIDEO
If you've been searching the Web today trying to find video of a pregnant woman playing basketball, I'd like to say, "welcome."
At the bottom of this post, courtesy of Funny or Die, is a short clip featuring actress Jenna Elfman taking part in a game of B-ball, complete with trash talk and everything. That might be kinda humorous, but add in the fact that she's also pregnant and I'd say that's pretty damn funny. Elfman has a lot of great lines, but my favorite comes toward the end as she's walking off the court and tosses the ball away.
I'd love to see a whole series done this way, with Elfman playing a different sport in every video. I've always been a fan of Elfman's, though I never really liked Dharma and Greg. Funny, that.
Anyway, check out the video below. It does contain some bad language, so be warned.
ABC renews October Road, Notes from the Underbelly
The Upfronts are this week, but already information is starting to leak about which shows are being renewed by which networks. The latest news is that ABC has renewed two newcomers: October Road and Notes from the Underbelly.I haven't seen October Road, but Paul says it's an awful lot like Ed. I have, however, seen Notes from the Underbelly and I am quite shocked that it's getting a second season. You see, I come to this from a unique perspective because I am a pregnant woman and I find the entire show to be completely ridiculous. I watched the first four episodes because I wanted to like it and to have my own special pregnant-lady show to watch (A Baby Story is just waaaay too much labor). But I can't stand it. The characters are stereotypes to the extreme and their situations are always taken to the most illogical conclusion. I can't identify with any of them. But, as Liz says, maybe it's a show only a mommy can love.
