'Bachelor Pad' Season 2 Cast Revealed

by Jean Bentley, posted Jun 13th 2011 3:30PM
Bachelor Pad logoIt's official: Jake and Vienna will showdown on ABC once more as the two reunite on 'Bachelor Pad.'

The second season of the 'Bachelor'/'Bachelorette' spinoff brings former castoffs from both shows together for a second (or, in Jake Pavelka's case, third) chance at televised love.

According to EW.com, among the contestants on this year's installment are the aforementioned 'Bachelor' Jake and his ex-fiance, Vienna Girardi, wrestler Justin "Rated R" Rego, second-time 'Bachelor Pad' resident Gia Allemand and more -- including three suitors from the current season of 'The Bachelorette.'

Look for added sparks thanks to the casting of Vienna's new beau Kasey Kahl and Gia Allemand, Vienna's friend/enemy/frenemy. Vienna reportedly spoiled Gia's relationship with 'Bachelorette' contestant Wes Hayden.

Jake Pavelka to Look for Love Once More on ABC's 'Bachelor Pad'

by Jean Bentley, posted Jun 9th 2011 3:35PM
Jake PavelkaMaybe the third time will be the charm for Jake Pavelka.

The airline pilot has signed on as a contestant on ABC's 'Bachelor Pad,' the vaguely incestuous dating show comprised solely of 'Bachelor' and 'Bachelorette' castoffs that will air its second season later this summer.

Entertainment Weekly reports that filming has begun on 'Bachelor Pad,' and Pavelka was spotted out on a TV date with 'Bachelor' Season 15 contestant Jackie Gordon.

This will be Pavelka's third time competing on an ABC dating show. He wasn't right for Jillian Harris on the fifth season of 'The Bachelorette,' but he got another shot at televised love when he became the fourteenth 'Bachelor.' Unfortunately, he didn't find the one after all and ended his engagement with Vienna Girardi a year ago.

'Million Dollar Money Drop' Producer Stands By Post-It Question, Pauly D Gets His Own Show and More

by Jean Bentley, posted Dec 22nd 2010 6:30PM
'Million Dollar Money Drop''Million Dollar Money Drop' executive producer Jeff Apploff stands by the now-infamous Post-It question from Monday night's premiere that saw a couple lose $800,000 on an incorrect answer.

While the show said the sticky notes were introduced in 1980, bloggers pointed out that 3M's website made it seem as if they were introduced earlier.

"The integrity of the questions and answers on our show are our No. 1 priority," Apploff said in a statement. "In this case, our research team spoke directly with 3M, and they confirmed that although they had given out free samples in test markets in 1977 and 1978, it wasn't until 1980 that Post-Its were sold in stores. 'Million Dollar Money Drop' stands behind the answer that was revealed on the show."

['Bachelor Pad' - 'Season Finale']

Bachelor Pad castWe've reached the end of the road, 'Bachelor Pad' fans -- the finale to end all finales, full of tears, ballroom dancing and ... more tears. But thankfully no pie!

The first half of the episode kept up some pretense of the competition/rose-giving hooplah, but the second half was full of all the bitchy, backstabbing drama that we've come to expect from a 'Bachelor' reunion show.

Accusations were slung, Elizabeth dyed her hair again, and $250,000 was awarded to ... someone. Join us after the jump to dissect all the drama from our final foray into the 'Bachelor Pad'.

'Bachelor Pad' Season 1, Episode 5 Recap

'Bachelor Pad' contestants['Bachelor Pad' - 'Two's Company']

In the words of David -- and The Fresh Prince -- this week the game got "flipped, turned upside down," (seriously, was I the only one who flashed back to the '90s?) as all of the contestants were paired into couples for the remainder of the game. I guess Gia and the other outsiders were on to something all along ... who'd have thunk?

This was a dream come trouble for established couples like Tenley and Kiptyn, and Elizabeth and Kovacs, but for the floaters? Not so much. As is 'Bachelor Pad' tradition, there were tears within the first five minutes of the episode, and the drama certainly didn't stop there.

'Bachelor Pad': Kovacs and Elizabeth Mess Around on Top of a Car (VIDEO)

'Bachelor Pad': Kovacs and Elizabeth Mess Around on the Top of a CarThings got a little skanky on the latest 'Bachelor Pad' (Mon., 8PM ET on ABC). And by "skanky" we mean that we've reached a "rolling around and making out on the trunk of a car" level of sluttiness. It's all courtesy of Elizabeth and Kovacs, one of our four final couples on the show. (Though by the end of the night, the number of couples would be paired down to three.)

[Spoiler alert.]

Before we even reached this point, three of the "excess" ladies were booted from the show. It came as no big surprise that they were all women who hadn't "coupled up" with a dude. So, Nikki, Gwen and Ashley were eliminated early on. That left us with four couples -- who then had to play a game of "water balloon catch" to see who would win some roses and a "special date."

'Bachelor Pad' Recap - Season 1, Episode 4

Natalie and Nikki('Truth or Dare')

Welcome back for another slice of drama pie courtesy of those fine folks at 'Bachelor Pad', reality addicts!

Is it just me, or was last night's episode way less scandalicious than we were led to believe it would be, based on those catty promos from last week? Perhaps I've been so traumatized by the pie-eating, saliva-swapping, limb-tangling contests thus far that a simple game of the ugly truth was just way too mellow for me. Where was the hair pulling, the name calling, the outrage over being told you'll die alone as an old maid after being devoured by your cats (Natalie)?

I mean, there were tears, but the 'Bachelor Pad' girls probably cry when they run out of milk. Heck, the mere sight of those mean old survey clipboards was enough to reduce Tenley to a quivering, hysterical mess, and that was even before she knew what they'd be used for. I can't believe I still find myself baffled by that girl's sensitivity, but I really do.

Who Has the Worst Fake Boobs on 'Bachelor Pad'? (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Aug 31st 2010 6:21AM
Who Has the Worst Fake Boobs on 'Bachelor Pad'?The new installment of 'Bachelor Pad' (Mon., 8PM ET on ABC) was all about asking the tough questions. Luckily for us, at least one of these questions involved the important issue of fake boobs.

... But before we get to that, we have a tiny question of our own. It involves an issue that we sometimes wonder about when watching reality TV. And our query is this: "Hey, is it possible for a reality show to be too mean to its players?"

It seems like the creators of 'Bachelor Pad' are never too troubled by this thought. Especially based on the events that took place during tonight's show -- which was kind of a brutal marathon of humiliation. By the halfway point of the episode, most of the female contestants were already in tears.

'Bachelor Pad' Recap - 'Kiss and Tell'

Peyton and Jesse B. (Season 1, Episode 3) This week's 'Bachelor Pad' is brought to you by the letter H, for herpes, which is what every contestant has no doubt contracted after that cringe-worthy kissing contest -- mouthwash, anyone?

If you thought that last week's pie eating competition was gross, it was nothing compared to watching a bunch of hormonal reality stars sucking face for the sake of a rose -- Ashley might have had the right idea about bowing out before the contest got started, but does she realize that she's on 'Bachelor Pad'? Losing the respect of her students was a foregone conclusion as soon as she entered the 'Bachelor' mansion the first time around, wearing a flight attendant costume to try and seduce Jake Pavelka.

Lovers Wes and Gia Are Separated on 'Bachelor Pad' (VIDEO)

Lovers Wes and Gia Are Separated on 'Bachelor Pad'There's no type of romance that lasts for less time than a romance on a reality show. Even the average lifespan of a mayfly lasts longer than a relationship on reality TV. This is a lesson that has been hammered home over and over again.

[Spoiler alert.]

And on the newest 'Bachelor Pad' (Mon., 8PM ET on ABC), we get to learn this lesson once more. Contestant Gia has a boyfriend back home. But now, she's falling for fellow housemate Wes. It seems that Wes sang a song to Gia, and that made Gia become all fluttery in the heart, romance-wise. (It also made her temporarily forget about her old boyfriend.)
