Who Took Home the Money on the 'Bachelor Pad' Season Finale?
by Catherine Lawson, posted Sep 13th 2011 7:00AM
So, it was the season finale at last on 'Bachelor Pad' last night. Time to pack away the thong bikinis and swim trunks as one lucky couple was awarded the $250,000 grand prize. For the others, it was rejection time. (Again.)And the winners are: Holly Durst and Michael Stagliano. Yes, the on-again off-again couple walked away with the win despite the fact that Holly has already gotten engaged to housemate Blake Julian after a whirlwind romance.
That's right, she's engaged to Blake, and if you didn't already know that before the finale then you weren't alone. Michael didn't know either.

Another tear-stained season of 'Bachelor Pad' has come to a close, filled with more fights, more feuds, and more than a few revelations (even though many of them were ruined by the media long before the episode actually aired).Jake and Vienna, Vienna and Kasey, Melissa and Blake, Blake and Holly, Holly and Michael, Erica and gavel -- it's hard to keep track, but by gum, I tried!
Summer is most certainly over and we have blah-blah-Ben to "look forward to" as our next 'Bachelor,' so let's savor the trashy triumph of 'BP' while we still can and look back at the top five most awkward moments from the 'Bachelor Pad' season finale.
'Bachelor Pad' Duo Holly & Blake Are Engaged
by Chris Harnick, posted Sep 8th 2011 6:00PM
'Bachelor Pad' contestants Holly Durst and Blake Julian may have been competing for a cash prize, but that didn't stop a love connection. The duo are now engaged to be married, according to People.Holly was instrumental in sending Blake home, but at the rose ceremony she handed him a note saying it wasn't the end for them.
The on-camera courtship wasn't always the easiest, as Durst's former fiance Michael Stagliano was also on 'Bachelor Pad' and he claimed to still have feelings for her. Additionally, Julian was involved with another contestant, Melissa Schreiber, for much of the season.
'Glee' Casts Mike Chang's Parents, Emmy Awards 2011 Lines Up Presenters & More TV News
by Jean Bentley, posted Sep 6th 2011 7:00PM
This is very good news for those Gleeks hoping our favorite neglected New Directions members will get a little more screen time during Season 3 of 'Glee': Entertainment Weekly reports that two actors have been cast as Mike Chang's parents.Tamlyn Tomita ('The Joy Luck Club') and Keong Sim ('The Last Airbender') will play parents to newly minted series regular Harry Shum Jr. in the third episode of the new season, which is scheduled to air Oct. 3. Mike Chang gets a back story? Awesome!
Now that Mercedes has a new boyfriend, we can only hope poor Tina won't be pushed to the backburner all year for a disappointing third time.

'Bachelor Pad': Top 5 Awkward Moments in Episode 5
by Laura Prudom, posted Sep 6th 2011 2:15PM
Blake has made so many inadvisable beds this season on 'Bachelor Pad,' it's kind of miraculous that he finally found one he didn't want to lie in -- but if there's one contestant who can't even make sexy lingerie sound appealing, it's Erica.Tensions were high in the mansion this week, with Holly torn between Blake and Michael in a very real way, while Kasey and Vienna reached new depths of ickiness. I'm just amazed that Michelle has done a complete personality 180 since Brad's season, and has emerged as the lone voice of reason in the house; who'd have thunk it?
Read on for our top five awkward moments from the penultimate episode of 'Bachelor Pad' season 2.
'Bachelor Pad' - Top 5 Awkward Moments in Episode 4

Have you ever wanted to know what someone looks like when they're having a mental breakdown on national television? If so, you probably owe Melissa a muffin basket for sating your curiosity on this week's 'Bachelor Pad.'The kooky blonde has been slowly unraveling for the past few weeks, but her cray-cray behavior (behay-hay?) finally reached its boiling point in the latest episode, after she had at least three very public meltdowns at/because of Blake.
As a result, I'm switching things up in this week's recap, and instead of choosing the top five most awkward moments, I'm going to come right out and name the top five most awkward people instead. (Okay, Melissa was so cringeworthy that I may have chosen her twice, so sue me.)
Vienna Girardi: Don't Believe the Drunk Interviews on 'Bachelor Pad' (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Aug 23rd 2011 4:45PM
Take the feuds on 'Bachelor Pad' with a grain of salt, or, more appropriately, a lime and a salt-shaker. It's just the booze talking, according to Vienna Girardi. Girardi appeared on 'Access Hollywood Live' (weekdays, syndicated on NBC) to talk about this week's episode, in which Erica Rose said some nasty things about her.Girardi said she and Erica are now friends, but that only happened after this week's episode was taped. "She was just in Vegas this week with me this weekend where I lost my voice," said Girardi. "But I can say this -- alcohol. I'm blaming the Patron and the Jager on all the mean things that people say."
'Bachelor Pad' - Top 5 Awkward Moments in Episode 3
by Laura Prudom, posted Aug 23rd 2011 10:32AM
Week three in the 'Bachelor Pad' house brought more tacky contests, more psychotic breaks and more completely baffling hook ups -- and we expected nothing less.If you've ever wondered which bachelor has the biggest, uh ... "rose" to hand out, this week's episode definitively answered that question for you (SPOILER ALERT: apparently it's Jake). And if you've ever found yourself pondering who the most unstable person in the show's history is, this episode ... didn't definitively answer that question for you, but it gave you a hell of a lot of options to choose from (and shockingly, Michelle Money wasn't one of them).
From public displays of rejection to ill-advised singing, join us after the jump for our top five most awkward moments in episode three.
'Bachelor Pad' - Top 5 Awkward Moments in Episode 2
by Laura Prudom, posted Aug 16th 2011 4:15PM
If you thought last week's 'Bachelor Pad' was knee-deep in awkwardness, the first 10 minutes of this week's episode probably realigned your world view quite a bit.Nothing says ego-boost like being pelted with paint-filled eggs, as poor Erica quickly discovered (though, to be fair, I kind of want to throw eggs at her every time I see her in that tiara, too).
Still, there was enough double-crossing, manipulation and awkward making out to keep everyone occupied, and a twist in the game gave someone a second chance at survival.
Read on for our Top 5 awkward moments, and two that were "aww"-worthy.
What Reality TV Teaches Us About Love and Marriage
by Stephanie Earp, posted Aug 9th 2011 12:00PM
The conclusion of another season of the 'The Bachelorette' and last night's debut of the dirty after-party called 'Bachelor Pad' got me thinking about the state of marriage -- at least on reality TV.My parents got married at City Hall. My mom was wearing a caftan over her baby bump (I was born a few months later) and my dad wore a V-neck sweater, high-heeled boots and five o'clock shadow. It was the '70s and the whole thing cost as much as the marriage license. Granted, it didn't last, but as I'm sure you've noticed, most marriages don't.
'Bachelor Pad' - Top 5 Awkward Moments in the Season Premiere
by Laura Prudom, posted Aug 9th 2011 12:00AM
Summer is here! For some, that means barbecues, pool parties and beach bonfires; for the alumni of ABC's 'Bachelor' and 'Bachelorette' franchises, it means 'Bachelor Pad' -- possibly the trashiest, tawdriest trainwreck of a reality competition show since 'Temptation Island,' and we just can't resist it! (Believe us, we've tried.)If you thought last year's contest was crazy, you ain't seen nothing yet. Wedging feuding exes Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi back into one house seemed juicy enough, but add in the likes of Kasey "Guard and Protect Your Heart" Kahl, Gia Allemand, Justin "Rated R" Rego and crazy-eyes Michelle Money, and you've got the most combustible group of contestants ever to grace our screens.
Join us after the jump for our Top 5 most awkward moments from the season premiere. Can you guess how many involve Jake and Vienna?
What to Watch: TV Picks for August 8 - 14
by Stephanie Earp, posted Aug 8th 2011 9:20AM
Karaoke Battle USA - Friday August 12, 9 PM ET/PTAll the televised singing competitions have suffered the slings and arrows of being called nothing but a karaoke contest. Finally, a show that actually is just a karaoke contest. If you're lucky, you live in a town with a popular karaoke night with a couple of truly talented regulars -- you know, the whole bar roots for them and enjoys the performance, and they often have a signature tune or two.
This show brings those people together for a sing-off, hosted by Joey Fatone and judged by singer Carnie Wilson, journalist Joe Levy, and Brian Scott, the 2009 National Karaoke Champion. I'm really looking forward to Levy's contributions -- I remember him from his witty comments on 'Behind the Music' type shows on the late 90s and early 2000s. He was my most obscure celebrity crush.

Martin Short is returning to his comedy roots with a recurring role on 'How I Met Your Mother' this fall. Something tells us he's definitely not the mother.Vulture reports that Short will fill in for Dave Foley as Marshall's new boss; Foley's new series 'How to Be a Gentleman' (also on CBS) prevents him from continuing his role.
Short got his drama fill on 'Damages' last season, and can next be seen on this season of 'Weeds,' which premiered last night.
