'Bachelor Pad': Top 5 Awkward Moments in Episode 5

by Laura Prudom, posted Sep 6th 2011 2:15PM
Bachelor PadBlake has made so many inadvisable beds this season on 'Bachelor Pad,' it's kind of miraculous that he finally found one he didn't want to lie in -- but if there's one contestant who can't even make sexy lingerie sound appealing, it's Erica.

Tensions were high in the mansion this week, with Holly torn between Blake and Michael in a very real way, while Kasey and Vienna reached new depths of ickiness. I'm just amazed that Michelle has done a complete personality 180 since Brad's season, and has emerged as the lone voice of reason in the house; who'd have thunk it?

Read on for our top five awkward moments from the penultimate episode of 'Bachelor Pad' season 2.

'Bachelor Pad' - Top 5 Awkward Moments in Episode 4

Blake and Melissa - Bachelor PadHave you ever wanted to know what someone looks like when they're having a mental breakdown on national television? If so, you probably owe Melissa a muffin basket for sating your curiosity on this week's 'Bachelor Pad.'

The kooky blonde has been slowly unraveling for the past few weeks, but her cray-cray behavior (behay-hay?) finally reached its boiling point in the latest episode, after she had at least three very public meltdowns at/because of Blake.

As a result, I'm switching things up in this week's recap, and instead of choosing the top five most awkward moments, I'm going to come right out and name the top five most awkward people instead. (Okay, Melissa was so cringeworthy that I may have chosen her twice, so sue me.)

'Bachelor Pad' - Top 5 Awkward Moments in Episode 3

by Laura Prudom, posted Aug 23rd 2011 10:32AM
Bachelor PadWeek three in the 'Bachelor Pad' house brought more tacky contests, more psychotic breaks and more completely baffling hook ups -- and we expected nothing less.

If you've ever wondered which bachelor has the biggest, uh ... "rose" to hand out, this week's episode definitively answered that question for you (SPOILER ALERT: apparently it's Jake). And if you've ever found yourself pondering who the most unstable person in the show's history is, this episode ... didn't definitively answer that question for you, but it gave you a hell of a lot of options to choose from (and shockingly, Michelle Money wasn't one of them).

From public displays of rejection to ill-advised singing, join us after the jump for our top five most awkward moments in episode three.

Former 'Bachelor' Jake Pavelka Guest Stars on 'Drop Dead Diva' (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Aug 23rd 2010 12:54AM
Former 'Bachelor' Jake Pavelka Guest Stars on 'Drop Dead Diva'Jake Pavelka appeared on the latest episode of 'Drop Dead Diva' (Sun., 9PM ET on Lifetime). The former 'Bachelor' contestant really stretched his acting range -- by playing a former contestant on a reality dating show. Yay! Way to go, Jake!

Mr. Pavelka played a mean dating show dude who was being sued for "intentionally inflicting emotional harm" upon a female contestant. ... Of course, in real life, some might argue that Jake has also done the same thing.

'Bachelor's' Jake and Vienna Fail Ellen DeGeneres' 'Newlywed Game' (VIDEO)

by Harley W. Lond, posted Mar 4th 2010 10:04PM
New 'Bachelor' couple Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi were on Thursday's 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated) and DeGeneres had them play a version of 'The Newlywed Game,' in which a couple has to answer questions to determine how much they know about each other. Unfortunately for the pair, it turns out that they don't know a heck of a lot about each other's likes and dislikes (well, at least not in this round). Is this a bad omen?

'Bachelor' Couple Charlie O'Connell and Sarah Brice Land Oxygen Reality Series

by Scott Harris, posted Jan 11th 2010 10:15AM
It's the classic American love story. Boy meets girl. Boy presents girl with a promise ring during a rose ceremony on a nationally broadcast television show. Boy and girl become tabloid fodder when they break up and then reunite. You know... the usual.

Well, now you can add a new chapter to this modern romance: boy and girl get their own reality show.

Why Is 'The Bachelor' So White?

by Scott Harris, posted Jan 4th 2010 1:30PM
The 14th season of ABC's popular reality dating show 'The Bachelor' airs tonight, and fans will be seeing some familiar faces -- white faces, that is.

Jake Pavelka, who previously appeared as a rejected suitor on the show's sister series 'The Bachelorette,' will be starring as the man in command this year, vying for the affection of 25 attractive women. But while the network's strategy of bringing back popular contestants form one series to star in the next has proven successful in the past -- the first season finale of 'The Bachelorette' snagged over 30 million viewers -- it has also helped contribute to the impression that the series is uninterested in courting minority viewers.

EW declares the all-time best and worst of reality television

by Jason Hughes, posted Jun 11th 2009 3:00PM
Jeff ProbstConsidering how prevalent reality television is these days, it's got to be a pretty daunting task to try and put together a comprehensive list of the best and worst of all time. But Entertainment Weekly thinks they've done just that. They've compiled the top 20 reality shows of all time, but also the ten worst reality shows of all time. All in all, they did a pretty damned good job.

I completely agree with the top six, but they lose me with Jackass at number seven. I have never understood the appeal of filming morons doing stupid things on purpose just to be stupid. But there were some shows missing from the list completely, like Little People Big World, So You Think You Can Dance and Beauty and the Geek. Surely those shows are better than The Hills and The Real Housewives of Sesame Street, or whatever franchise they're spinning now.
