Battlestar Galactica: Exodus, Part Two

(S03E04) Because I saw these first five episodes on DVD, I wasn't subject to spoilers of what was to come in the next episode. I really do feel for everyone who sat and watched the preview for this week, only to be disappointed to learn that Pegasus comes to the rescue. While, really, this was something that seemed pretty inevitable anyway, it was still a bummer to have it told to you ahead of time. And even then, the preview was referring to the decoy. But who the hell is it that decides what's good to show for a preview every week?

The cast of Battlestar Galactica -- Simpsons style!

by Richard Keller, posted May 10th 2006 7:35PM

Six and Baltar, if they lived in The Simpsons universeNow, this is pretty nifty!

If you ever wanted to see your favorite Battlestar Galactica characters as they would look in the universe of The Simpsons, here's your chance. Artist Dylan Meconis has produced a number of sketches portraying all of your favorite BSG personalities and placed them on her website at LiveJournal under the heading Battlestar Galacticsimpsons. They're all there: from Admiral Adama and President Roslin enjoying an awkward moment of romance, to Boomer with her Cylon clone friends.

Actually, it all began with a picture of Six and Baltar (the picture you see to the right) in what looks like some sort of seductive dance. That image was so popular that Meconis decided to work in the entire cast. The response to her work has been very positive, with some commenters saying that Matt Groeing should call her directly and hire her on the spot. Hey, The Simpsons will be around for eternity and I'm sure they could use some new blood when the other artists die off of sheer exhaustion.

For more of Meconis' work, and well as information about her, please see her Quirkybird website.

[Thanks to both Jamie and Ryan for this tip]

Battlestar Galactica: Downloaded

bsg logoForget everything I said about the flashback trickery of episodes past. This week's show makes up for any issues I may have had before. An amazingly revealing episode with several twists I never saw coming. The perspective we get from the Cylon end of the spectrum is one I had never considered, and I'm excited to see how it plays out in the episodes to come, both in the finale next week and beyond.

Battlestar Galactica: Sacrifice

bsgLee is one cool character, and I'm glad he's still around. two close calls within, what, three episodes? How many times is this guy going to have to stay away from the light? It was nice to see him back and mopey-free.

I wonder why Sharon is helping Galactica. My only guess is that she's doing whatever it takes to stay alive so her baby can be born, which makes the most sense. It's most likely a plan that all the Cylons had all along, that a Cylon-Human hybrid would survive. Then again, like what's been said in this episode, she may be playing them hard.

Battlestar Galactica: Epiphanies

baltarAfter an amazing double-part season premiere, the show tones down a little. This episode dealt primarily with President Roslin's declining health and Boomer's unborn child, and along the way, what's going on with Baltar.

An interesting development this time around shows that the fleet has a group of Cylon sympathizers among them, which makes for a convenient hiding group for Cylon Number Six, the one of flesh-and-blood. Speaking of Number Six, I thought for sure the one in Baltar's head was gone after the last episode, though clearly I was wrong.

Battlestar Galactica: Resurrection Ship (Part 2)

bsgThe opening of this episode was brilliant. At first we're shocked to see that it's Apollo in the water and not Baltar. Then, as things start to go wrong, we see why Apollo was halucinating and feeling that floating feeling, and we know all too quickly that things have gone wrong ... 48 hours earlier.
