Neil Patrick Harris wants to be on The Amazing Race
The How I Met Your Mother star told Craig Ferguson (scroll down) that he wants to be on a
celebrity version of The Amazing Race, because he loves the show so much. And this gets me thinking: what celebs would you like to see on a celebrity edition of the show? I think they should team up Andy Dick and Bill O'Reilly on one team. That'd be fun to watch.

How I Met Your Mother: Best Prom Ever
(S01E20) Just two
episodes left for this season and things are flip flopping faster than you can say ... uh ... flip flopping. By the end
of the episode, Ted and Robin were back on speaking terms, Barney was, well, Barney is ageless, and Lily was starting to
have some reservations about her upcoming nuptials. When Marshall and Lily had the opportunity to have their wedding at
their dream location, they had to make some sacrifices, time being the most prevalent one, and move their wedding up to
two months from now. Needless to say, Lily was a little freaked out. Finding a band was at the top of her to do list,
and the only place the band Marshall liked was playing was at a local high school's prom. Looks like we're going to
prom. On with the show! How I Met Your Mother: Mary the Paralegal
(S01E19) What did we learn from tonight's episode?
If you're a single guy and want to attract the ladies, treat them like they're streetwalkers. This is the reason I look
forward to How I Met Your Mother as much as Lost, 24 or Scrubs-- how true to life
it really is. I'm not talking about your friends buying you a hooker (well, not me at least), I'm talking about all the
little things. Everybody has at least one person with whom they can have a telepathic conversation, like Ted and
Marshall do. Everyone tries to show up their ex with someone who is hotter. Everyone has a group of friends that they
would do anything for. On with the show! How will How I Met Your Mother end?
The producers and
writers of the hit CBS show How I Met Your Mother have already written the last five minutes of the show.IGN.com has an extensive report from the William S. Paley TV fest, where cast and crew from the show explain how the show came about, how the cast was chosen, and what they want to do with the show. Some cool tidbits: Neil Patrick Harris wasn't sure about his Barney role at first, because the script called for a heavy-set, dark-haired guy in his 30s, like Jack Black. Also: they don't film in front of a live audience, and Angel alum Amy Acker and Alexis Denisof are going to do guest appearances.

How I Met Your Mother: Life Among The Gorillas
I told you I was going to hate Robin; how dare she make a move
on Ted when he's so vulnerable! That harpy! What I meant to say was, good episode. Not great, but good. Once again
How I Met Your Mother demonstrated why it is the perfect sitcom for the generation it's characters hail from,
Marshall had to make some tough decisions about what he wanted to do with his life, who he wanted to be and why. Not
only did they show cover both sides of the coin, but it also did so with its normal flair of humor, respect and
understanding. On with the show! How I Met Your Mother: Cupcake
I have a feeling I'm not going to like Robin for much longer. Just call it a
hunch, but I'd be willing to bet she's the reason that "long distance relationships don't work". And if she
hurts me Ted...This episode also moved the story along towards Marshall and Lily's actual wedding, which is something I'm definitely looking forward to. Watching Lily try on the "mullet of wedding dresses" was hilarious. Someone last week also mentioned that the past couple of episodes have been kind of "Ted-lite", and I think that's been a pretty important part of why the show works for me-- it's not just Ted's show. On with the show!
How I Met Your Mother iMix
More and more people are getting into How I Met Your
Mother as each week passes. One of the first things that a lot of people notice, and is almost always the first
question asked in the comments, is the music. "What was that song they just played?" can be found near the
top of just about everyone of my reviews' comments. So, in my ongoing effort to make all of your lives easier, I've
created an iMix with just songs that have been featured in the various episodes. Keep in mind this is going to be an
ongoing project, so keep checking back here and to the iMix itself for updates. There's some songs that iTunes doesn't
sell, so those that can't be bought there, I'll add either here or in the comments there. We also want to hear from
you, so if there's a song that you know it's missing, by all means, let me know.Check out the iMix.
How I Met Your Mother: Zip, Zip, Zip
There's been a lot of people saying that they want to see
more of Robin and Barney hanging out, because they think it would be funny and they want to see those two crazy kids end
up together. I don't mind seeing them together, but I was never sure I wanted them to end up together before tonight. It
was absolutely hilarious, and Barney makes some very valid points. The two of them together were funny as hell, and I
can't wait to - hopefully - see more as this group comes together as friends. One of the greatest lines of
the night came from Robin after Barney accused her of throwing herself at him all night: "I was doing the
opposite, I was throwing other girls at you." Classic. This show gets better every week. On with the show! How I Met Your Mother: the next Friends?
I've
only seen a couple of episodes of CBS' How I Met Your Mother. Not only is Surface on at the same time,
but I wasn't sure I wanted to get invested in another sitcom, only to see it get canceled quickly or moved around
on the schedule. But the show is getting good ratings and critical acclaim, so I'm going to start watching it
now (Surface ends its first season tonight, so now I have no excuse - plus I could just use my damn
Tivo).
Matthew Gilbert over at The Boston Globe thinks that the show could, with a little tweaking, become the next Friends. What do you think?
How I Met Your Mother: Drumroll Please
I am a sappy, lovesick guy in his mid-twenties (I turned 25 last week
actually), so if there ever was a show tailor made for me, then How I Met Your Mother is it. Or maybe Love
Monkey, or Ed, or Friends, or... Whatever, you get the point I'm trying to make. You listen to me
week in and week out; I absolutely love this show. Along with the ongoing love story, this show has a very deep sense of
How I Met Your Mother: The Wedding
Just how hard is it to plan the perfect wedding? I wouldn't know, I've never actually made it that far, but
over the past couple of years, as more and more of my friends have gotten married, and as I watch my little sister go
through the steps leading up to hers this fall, I do agree with Marshall: you never cross the bride! Doing so can
topple the delicate house of cards that is a wedding to begin with. Unfortunately, that's exactly what our lovelorn
hero Ted did last night, all for the attention of a girl. Come on guys, we would never do anything stupid just for a
girl, right? Right? On with the show!Blog Barney Vs. TV Barney
For those of you that didn't know, Barney, from How I Met Your Mother,
actually does have a blog.
The writers He writes to it pretty frequently, most of the time
twice a week, and whether they're show related or not, the posts are always quality. This past week, however, Barney
and I are having a little dispute. As you'll remember, I put a lot of research into my post last week about Barney's
"Get Psyched Mix" from the show;
painstakingly copying all of the songs off of a blurry, handwritten cd from the episode, solely for your enjoyment.
Then, Barney has to go and post an entirely different list of songs on his blog! So, while both take you to legendary
heights of psyched-ness, we'd like you all to tell us which one you think is better. Song lists and poll after the jump...
How I Met Your Mother: The Limo
"People often think a good mix should rise and fall, but
people are wrong. It should be all rise baby" -Barney.
For me, this show has been nothing but
"rise" as well. This episode was another great episode in an absolutely fantastic season. I say this week in
and week out, but this show really strikes a chord with me, and last night's episode made me feel like maybe I'm not
the only one who always seems to be "looking" for something/someone on New Year's Eve. I'm not sure if mine
will turn out quite like Ted's, but I'll be sure to let you know, since I'm sure you all care so much. On with the
show!
