The Amazing Race All-Stars: "Low to the Ground, That's My Technique" (season finale)

(S11E13) Ahhh... I really was rooting for the Beauty Queens! I think they were really, really bummed about coming in very close second. I wanted to cry with them. I'm not sure what my problem is with Eric & Danielle. I just felt like they didn't have a whole lot of personality, unlike the other teams in the top three. I feel like they pout a lot.

(S11E12) Next week is the season finale and I'm thankful for that. This has been my least favorite season of The Amazing Race (I didn't watch the family season). For the most part, the drama has been in the airports with teams constantly vying for the best flights. The challenges, for the most part, have been pretty lame. Very few of them have been physical and therefore have not been all that much of a victory for teams when they complete the tasks. This week's detour was an exception. The teams traveled a whopping 7,500 miles from Macau to Guam. There, only one team (Charla & Mirna) chose the challenge that actually meant anything. They packed up supplies and got to go on a military mission to drop them. The flight looked like so much fun! Of course, their task put them in last place so the other teams were smart not to choose it.
The CW meets Little Miss Sunshine with Crowned

This idea is either profoundly sick or profoundly brilliant. I haven't decided which. The CW has announced an eight-episode reality competition focused on mother-daughter teams working to win a beauty pageant. Now, from what I understand, this is a "mother-daughter" pageant not a "stage mom who wishes to live vicariously through the daughter who robbed her of her youth" pageant. The teams on Crowned will have their relationships tested through clothing, swimwear, interview and dance competitions. The Amazing Race: We Won't Just Die, Like Roaches

(S10E11) The official title for this episode should really be "karma is a b," a quote from Alabama ladies, who without their goodie-goodie SixPack compatriots are turning into surprisingly fierce players. Still, of all four teams they are the ones who are probably most likely to get eliminated which makes me wonder why they are seen as such a threat by those marauding blondes known as the Beauty Queens. It doesn't exactly seem like a fair fight but it's the only thing in the race right now that's keeping things interesting. The Amazing Race: Lookin' like a Blue-Haired Lady on a Sunday Drive

(S10E11) It's always right around this point in the season when I realize there is no way I would ever want to apply for this show. After watching the teams rappel down a building (some head first) and then race around Ukraine, I realize I'm never signing up for this race. One of the things I'm liking best about this season is that there really aren't set good guys and bad guys. Now that Peter and Sarah are gone we are left with teams that flip flop so that the ones you might be tempted to cheer for are sometimes terribly annoying and the less sympathetic ones are surprisingly charming.TV Squad Hot Topics
