'Saturday Night Live' fans, you better make some room in your freezer. Ben and Jerry's has officially announced the launch of Schweddy Balls ice cream. Yes, an ice cream flavor based on the fan-favorite 'SNL' Delicious Dish skit featuring Molly Shannon, Ana Gasteyer and Alec Baldwin.

"For a long time, I thought that 'Here Lies Pete Schweddy' would end up on my tombstone," Baldwin said in a statement. "Now, thanks to Ben & Jerry's, the goodness of the Schweddy family recipe won't go with me to the great beyond."

In the classic sketch, Shannon and Gasteyer played NPR hosts. Baldwin played Pete Schweddy, a baker.

The flavor, which was rumored to be in the works in June, will be available nationwide. It features Fair Trade vanilla ice cream -- with a hint of rum -- fudge covered rum balls and milk chocolate malt balls.

Earlier this week, Ben & Jerry's gave Jimmy Fallon his own ice cream flavor in honor of the second anniversary of 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.' This didn't sit well with Stephen Colbert, who wants to be the only late night TV host with a Ben & Jerry's flavor.

So, on 'The Colbert Report' (Weeknights, 11:30ET PM on Comedy Central), Colbert declared ice cream war on Fallon. Then, just when Colbert was going to melt Fallon's "Late Night Snack" ice cream with a hairdryer, who should show up on set but Fallon himself.

"Let the pint go, Stefan, or I'm going to give your ice cream a Neapolitan necktie," Fallon threatened, holding a pint of Colbert's AmeriCone Dream ice cream.

Ben & Jerry's is jumping into the marketing mania surrounding the upcoming The Simpsons Movie by making a special ice cream flavor just for the premiere. It's called "Duff and D'oh-Nuts" and it's a combination of the two best flavors in the world-- at least, according to Homer Simpson. The ice cream is a combination of chocolate and cream stout with chunks of glazed chocolate donuts. As I typed up that sentence, my brain said "gross" while my stomach said "yummmm".

Now here's the bad news. It's only for the kind folks of Springfield, Vermont because they won the nationwide contest to host The Simpsons Movie premiere in their town next week. Ben & Jerry's is calling the new flavor "extremely limited, one-time and one-day-only flavor."
