(S03E12) I have complained in previous posts about Susan's storylines. However, this episode focused on the character's parenting. I thought it was refreshing and funny: She is not willing to violate her daughter's privacy by actually reading Julie's journal, but it's okay if Gaby does it. I think that is a fast and funny approach to dealing with the dilemma most parents have. What is more important? Preserving privacy and trust or finding out what our children are up to?

FOX News TV writer Roger Friedman is reporting today that Rosie O'Donnell will probably leave The View when her one-year contract is up. The reason? Backstage tension, of course.

Friedman cites the it-just-won't-die flap with Donald Trump as one of the last straws in what has become a conflict with the show's matriarch, Barbara Walters. It seems like Walters is playing the two combatants against each other, according to Friedman, and Rosie is surprised that Barbara isn't being more supportive. Hence, once the "school year" is over in June, she'll take her ball and go home.

(S03E11) Oh, Ladies of Wisteria Lane, it's so nice to see you back. I'm glad Lynette finally got a spine where Kayla is concerned. Sending her kids in to yank Kayla out of the restaurant was brilliant.

I loved it when the middle kid just made a fist and punched his hand. Don't you just hate it when kids pull that crap about screaming in public so they will get their own way? That infuriates me. As for Kayla saying she will never love Lynette, why do they care so much what an angry child is saying right after she moves in with her father's family? Hello, they all act like they have never heard of the stages of grief before.
