Angie Harmon Talks About the 'Rizzoli & Isles' Winter Episodes (VIDEO)

by Alex Moaba, posted Nov 28th 2011 3:00PM
Angie Harmon stars as Detective Jane Rizzoli on TNT's highly-rated detective drama 'Rizzoli & Isles,' which makes its midseason premiere tonight at 10PM ET and features a cameo from Bill O'Reilly. Harmon stopped by 'Live! With Kelly' (weekdays, syndicated on ABC) where she talked about the five-episode "winter season" that will conclude the show's second season, and the challenges of balancing her work and family life.

Harmon told Kelly Ripa and 'Live' guest-host Neil Patrick Harris how the mini-season came into being. "We signed on to do a certain amount of episodes... and because the show is loved ... they added five more episodes ... to which I was like, 'Yay! Wait ..." Harmon's ambivalence stems from the extra time she had to spend away from her family, who lives in North Carolina, while the show shoots in L.A.

Bill O'Reilly Refuses to Give Letterman a High Five (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 14th 2011 10:50AM
Bill O'Reilly earned himself a new nickname with his latest appearance on 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS). David Letterman proposed the notion that America turned Iraq into a hotbed of terrorism that it wasn't before our invasion.

Then, in a move that clearly surprised him, O'Reilly essentially agreed with him that our going in was a mistake. He supported it initially based on claims there were weapons of mass destruction there, which turned out to be false.

Letterman then decided to seal their moment of agreement with a high five, which O'Reilly was not inclined to do. At one point, he even chastised Letterman. "We're having a good conversation. Sit down," he ordered.

Did Jon Stewart Just Get Aroused by Bill O'Reilly on 'The Daily Show'? (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 29th 2011 3:45AM
Bill O'Reilly, 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart'Bill O'Reilly and Jon Stewart have been fostering and nurturing a love/hate relationship for years now. But it genuinely seems to be one built on a mutual respect for one another, which is refreshing to see.

On O'Reilly's latest trip to 'The Daily Show' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on Comedy Central), though, it seemed to shift categorically in one direction.

And it's all because the two first agreed on a point O'Reilly made. And then O'Reilly used the world "sympatico" to describe their mutual understanding.

"You know, when you speak a foreign language," Stewart said slowly. "It is oddly arousing."

Jon Stewart Doesn't See Downside of Bill O'Reilly Quitting Over Tax Hikes (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 22nd 2011 3:45AM
'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart'When making an argument against potential tax hikes against the richest Americans, Bill O'Reilly chose the wrong way to go about it. At least, it was wrong if you're Jon Stewart. He was delighted on 'The Daily Show' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on Comedy Central) about the possibilities O'Reilly presented.

He showed a clip of O'Reilly talking on his own show about the potential tax hikes. "If Barack Obama begins taxing me more than 50 percent, which is very possible, I don't know how much longer I'm gonna do this," he said. "I like my job, but there comes a point when taxation becomes oppressive."

When it cut back to Stewart, he had a devilish little grin on his face. "So if taxes are raised, Bill O'Reilly might quit his Fox show?" he asked rhetorically.

With Olbermann returning to TV on June 20 on Curent TV, he stopped by 'The Colbert Report' (weeknights, 11:30pm ET on Comedy Central), where Stephen Colbert asked if losing that battle hurt.

"Has it been painful in these last 145 days to live with the knowledge that Bill O'Reilly won?" asked Colbert. "He jacked you so hard you landed in Current TV." Olbermann laughed it off and said that O'Reilly was responsible "for my promotion and my raise."

by Jeremy Taylor, posted Mar 31st 2011 2:15PM
Donald Trump has been taking his new-found "birtherism" on the talk show circuit lately, most notably clashing with Whoopi Goldberg on 'The View' over his misguided contention that Barack Obama may have been born in another country.

Bill O'Reilly has also clashed with Goldberg in the past, but he agreed with her position on Obama's birth, and called Trump out for spreading the birther myth on 'The O'Reilly Factor' (weekdays, 8 PM ET on Fox News)

On 'The O'Reilly Factor' (weekdays, 8PM ET on Fox News), Bill O'Reilly was critiquing a clip of Willie Geist, Ann Curry and Jenna Bush Hager dancing on 'Today' when he made a surprising revelation.

"I was on the set of 'Glee' last night," O'Reilly disclosed. "And after seeing those professionals, and that ... pretty frightening. And I want to thank all of the 'Glee' people for being so nice to us."

O'Reilly has taken shots at 'Glee' in the past, once accusing the show of indoctrinating the nation's youth with liberal values. And 'Glee' responded with an episode featuring a newsman character who seemed to be parodying O'Reilly.

"Let's be fair to Ms. Lohan, because very few people are. She says that the jewelry store loaned her the necklace, and she returned it. So why (is she) being charged with a felony?"

President Obama talks to Bill O'ReillyDuring the Super Bowl pregame show (2PM ET on FOX News), Bill O'Reilly sat down with President Barack Obama for a live interview at the White House.

The conversation between the two was civil, and they spoke about the situation in Egypt, the recent legal setback to the health care bill, and Obama's thoughts on his presidency, two years in.

Perhaps the most interesting moment of the interview came at the very end, when O'Reilly fished for the ultimate compliment a President could give a cable news host who many view as having a partisan agenda.

Lawrence O'Donnell's MSNBC Debut Ratings 50 Percent Higher Than Keith Olbermann's

by Catherine Lawson, posted Jan 26th 2011 8:02AM
Lawrence O'DonnellLawrence O'Donnell's show on MSNBC debuted in its new time slot Monday night to signficantly higher ratings than his predecessor, Keith Olbermann, managed.

According to The Wrap, audience numbers for 'The Last Word With Lawrence O'Donnell' were boosted by Olbermann fans and curious viewers tuning in to see what all the fuss was about.

O'Donnell's sudden move from 10PM ET to Olbermann's former time of 8PM ET came after Olbermann announced his abrupt exit from MSNBC on Friday's 'Countdown.'

O'Donnell had about 50 percent more viewers than Olberman's show averaged in the same slot. However, according to MSNBC President Phil Griffin, the ratings target for O'Donnell is the same as it was for Olbermann: Bill O'Reilly.

'Daily Show' Slams Fox News for Criticizing Others' Extreme Rhetoric and Denying Their Own (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted Jan 25th 2011 7:40AM
Jon Stewart Slams Megyn Kelly on 'Daily Show'Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly recently criticized democratic Rep. Steve Cohen for including some extreme rhetoric in his comments on President Obama's health care reforms.

"[Saying that] it's a government takeover of health care [is] a big lie, just like Goebbels," said Cohen, referring to Adolf Hitler's propaganda minister. "The Germans said enough about the Jews, and the people believed it."

Kelly took issue with the congressman's choice of words. Democratic strategist Richard Socarides told Kelly, "The leading commentators on this network use this kind of language." She protested, "That's just not true."

Trust 'The Daily Show' (weeknights, 11PM ET on COM) to then find clips of Fox News' Bill O'Reilly comparing some blogs to Hitler's publicity machine, and Glenn Beck calling a pro-Obama book and video "propaganda pieces and, I'm telling you, they would make Joseph Goebbels proud."

Bill O'Reilly on Fox News' Rivals: MSNBC Like the WWF, CNN Dusty Bores (VIDEO)

by Jeremy Taylor, posted Jan 21st 2011 3:00PM
During a debate on 'The Factor' (weekdays, 8 PM ET on Fox News) about whether or not politicians are heeding Barack Obama's call for civility, Bill O'Reilly managed to slam both of Fox News's cable news rivals.

"MSNBC makes a living out of making personal attacks," O'Reilly opined. "That's what the network does ... that's why it beats CNN."

"CNN is so boring, when they open their mouths dust comes out," he continued. "So (MSNBC) said 'you know, we can beat them. We're not as good at covering the news' -- MSNBC will never be as good as CNN at covering the news -- 'so we'll attack people. We'll be the World Wrestling Federation.' So that's what they did."

Allow us to tweak that anology, Bill. The way we see it, Fox News is the WWF, whereas MSNBC is more like an upstart wrestling federation -- say the WCW -- trying to match the WWF's superior ratings by ratcheting up their own outrageousness. Clearly, the only way this can end is some sort of intra-network steel-cage match.
