Family Guy: Boys Do Cry
(S05E15) After better than a month off, finally a new episode of Family Guy. I'm not sure I understand the thinking behind the scheduling of the show this year, but the list of behaviors from the networks that I don't understand is a long one. So, we'll take what we can get. Whatever the reasoning, it was nice to have the Griffins back with a fresh adventure. I think I probably came into this one with my expectations set a little high. Those previews that revealed the family packing up and taking a trip put the thought in the back of my mind that this could be one of those classic episodes. It called to mind the season three episode "To Love and Die in Dixie." Unfortunately, now having seen it, it wasn't a classic.
Updated version of Inside 9/11 re-airs this month
The updated version of Inside 9/11, the National Geographic Channel's Emmy-nominated documentary, is being re-broadcast on March 25 at 7:00 p.m. Since the original four-hour miniseries first aired, new details about the tragedy have sprung up, including the trial of Zacarias Moussaoui; information on Able Danger, the intelligence team assigned to track al Qaeda; new video of the attack on the Pentagon; audio from Flight 93; the CIA's dismantling of the bin Laden unit; the death of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi; and new video from bin Laden himself.
It's been over five years since the events of September 11, 2001, and I can understand how some might be sick of hearing about it, but it's not surprising that the aftershocks of an event of this magnitude would still be felt even today. I'd like to think my ongoing curiosity is natural and not morbid, but I still want to learn as much as I can about everything that happened that day, and the people and events it connects to.
Clinton goes ballistic on FOX - VIDEO
What happens when you mix Bill Clinton, a morning issues show produced by the conservative FOX News Channel, and a question that he didn't do enough to capture Osama bin Laden? You get the tirade below, which aired yesterday morning on FOX News Sunday. When host Chris Wallace questions the former president on how his administration failed to get bin Laden, Clinton got increasingly upset, to the point where he was almost yelling at Wallace. I could go over what he said, but you're better off watching the ten-minute video and you can decide for yourself whether he is right or not. Embedded video is after the jump; it's been one of YouTube's most-watched videos to date.By the way, here is Wallace's reaction, care of FishbowlDC.
