Michael Jackson coverage will continue this weekend
by Bob Sassone, posted Jun 27th 2009 8:10AM
Since Michael Jackson died two days ago, TV and radio stations have been busy with around the clock news coverage, specials about the King of Pop, and even non-stop playing of Jackson songs and videos. More special programming is planned this weekend, and AOL has a list of what we'll see. This morning at 10:30, E! will have the special Michael & Farrah: Lost Icons (good for them to include Farrah, whose death was overshadowed by bad timing). At 8 tonight (and Sunday), CNN will have Man in the Mirror, followed by a rerun of Larry King Live coverage and interviews about Jackson's death. At 10, The Bio Channel will air Bio Remembers: Michael Jackson.
Want to hear some celebrity ghost stories?
by Mike Moody, posted May 12th 2009 8:02PM
...the Bio channel hopes that you do. Bio is looking to expand its programming schedule for the new TV season with a number of new shows and pilots, including Celebrity Ghost Stories. The show will offer eight hour-long episodes featuring celebs like Carrie Fisher, Joan Rivers and Scott Baio talking about their real-life run-ins with ghosts.
OK, this show sounds crazy, but I'm gonna watch it anyway. I'll skip the Joan Rivers ep (she's nuts, so I buy that she sees ghosts, giant purple elephants and God knows what else all day), but I'm curious to hear what Carrie Fisher has to say.
Chris Isaak gets a wicked new show on Bio Channel
by Bob Sassone, posted Jul 10th 2008 3:02PM
Looks like The Biography Bio Channel is trying to make a name for themselves outside of the usual programming they have. First they signed Williams Shatner to do his own talk show, called Raw Nerve, and now they've signed musician/actor Chris Isaak to host his own talk show too, The Chris Isaak Hour.
This should be fun, because Isaak is a funny, likable guy and can probably get some cool guests/bands that you don't usually see on talk shows. And I'd much rather see him do this than those guest spots he's been doing on Extra (or is it Access Hollywood? All those shows tend to run together on the schedule and in the mind.)
