Jon Stewart: Obama Birth Certificate Reveal a 'Non-shell' (VIDEO)
by Jeremy Taylor, posted Apr 28th 2011 11:40AM
On 'The Daily Show' (weekdays, 11 PM ET on Comedy Central), Jon Stewart played clips of media figures breathlessly using words like "stunning," "shocking" and "bombshell" to describe the release of Barack Obama's long-form birth certificate."I don't want to nitpick," Stewart said, in reaction to the breathlessness. "But wouldn't the bombshell have been him not being born in America? Isn't this one more of a non-shell?"
"Like, if he had come out and said, 'I have lady parts' -- like that, but this is sort of non-shell," Stewart repeated, coining a phrase that could describe a lot of things that the media breathlessly reports on these day.
