by Laura Prudom, posted Aug 12th 2011 4:30AM
Chelsea Lately - Trace AdkinsChelsea Handler has made no secret of her deep appreciation for country crooner Blake Shelton, so when Shelton's friend and sometime duet partner Trace Adkins dropped by 'Chelsea Lately' (weeknights, 11PM ET on E!) the pair soon got around to talking about Handler's crush.

"I can't make my move 'cause I'm scared of that Miranda girl," Handler lamented, referencing Shelton's wife, singer Miranda Lambert.

"Me too," Adkins admitted. "Blake's scared of her too."

Jimmy Fallon Coerces Blake Shelton Into Singing With Him on 'Late Night' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 14th 2011 5:51AM
Blake Shelton, 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon'Blake Shelton has done a lot of talk shows throughout his long and successful career. But he's never experienced a moment like he did on 'Late Night' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on NBC). He might have thought it odd when Jimmy Fallon told him he had a few more questions, but we know he was shocked when Fallon started asking them.

Abrupty, and with the accompaniment of The Roots, Fallon stood and started singing a slightly modified version of 'The Pina Colada Song.' "Do you like pina coladas?" he sang, and abruptly sat down.

Shelton looked stunned and started looking around like he didn't know what was going on, and then Fallon simply stood and continued, asking him, "And getting caught in the rain? Do you like making love at midnight?"

The winner has been crowned and the confetti has been swept away, but for fans of 'The Voice' who weren't fortunate enough to be in the crowd for the finale last night, allow AOL TV to lift the curtain for you.

The Voice finalists

'The Voice' Finale: Who is the Singing Competition's First Winner? (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jun 30th 2011 12:13AM
Javier Colon & Dia Frampton, 'The Voice''American Idol' revolutionized the singing competition in America ten years ago, and its first winner, Kelly Clarkson, went on to worldwide success and fame.

This summer, 'The Voice' (Wed., 8PM ET on NBC) has arguably reinvented the concept by putting the focus on ... the voice. Will its winner go on to comparable success?

With top caliber coaches in Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera, the show was more about nurturing tomorrow's superstars than sitting distant and aloof in judgment of them. And after all was said and done it came down to 2 percent.

'The Voice' Finalists Discuss Their Coaches and Competition on 'Today' (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Jun 27th 2011 12:15PM
Vicci Martinez, Javier Colon, and Dia Frampton of 'The Voice' on 'Today'The first season of 'The Voice' comes to an end this week with performances by the finalists Tuesday night and the results show Wednesday. Three out of the four remaining singers appeared Monday on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM on NBC) to talk about what they've learned from their celebrity coaches and how they feel about their competition.

Dia Frampton said she's learned a lot from watching Blake Shelton perform for an audience. "I think the best time I ever had with him is when he took us to a show in Ohio and I was kind of watching him perform," she said. Vicci Martinez has had a good time just being around Cee Lo Green. "He's a riot," she said. "You never know what you're going to get from him."

Vicci Martinez Brings Down the House on 'The Voice' Semi-Finals (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jun 22nd 2011 6:12AM
Vicci Martinez, 'The Voice''The Voice' (Tue., 9PM ET on NBC) continued blazing toward its finale next week at a breakneck pace. This week, we got the final four members of our Elite Eight, and got to hear them sing. Tomorrow, another hatchet job will send four of them home, leaving each Coach with only one contender for the finale.

!!SPOILER ALERT!!

Before the Top 8 could sing, though, we needed to know who they were. And that meant getting the results of last week's battle between Teams Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine. As with the prior week, America's vote would save one contestant, while the Coach would save the other.

Blake Shelton: Christina Aguilera's Boobs Honorary Member of 'Voice' Judges Panel (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Jun 17th 2011 4:30PM
Blake Shelton talks about Christina Aguilera on 'Access Hollywood Live'If there's a breakout personality on the singing competition 'The Voice,' it's Blake Shelton. Already a popular country musician, Shelton has proved himself charming and quick-witted, characteristics he displayed Friday on 'Access Hollywood Live' (weekdays, syndicated on NBC). Billy Bush and Kit Hoover asked Shelton about his fellow 'Voice' judge Christina Aguilera, and her penchant for ribbing Shelton and Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine.

What is her motivation? "She wants us," Shelton deadpanned. Shelton proceeded to tell a story about how 'The Voice' producers encourage the judges to use Twitter during commercial breaks to reach out to fans, and one viewer, like Billy Bush, thought that Aguilera should do more to cover up her cleavage. Shelton disagreed. "I was like, why would anybody ever tell her to ever do that?" he said.

'The Voice' Predictions: Who Will Be Eliminated From Team Christina & Team Blake Tonight?

by Maggie Furlong, posted Jun 14th 2011 5:30PM
Tonight on 'The Voice,' we'll say goodbye to two contestants from both Team Christina and Team Blake. But who will it be?

Last week's first live performance show was a strong one, with Christina Aguilera's team of ladies -- Beverly McClellan, Frenchie Davis, Lily Elise and Raquel Castro -- battling it out in between performing 'Lady Marmalade' with their coach.

Team Christina, The Voice

We also saw Blake Shelton's team -- down to Patrick Thomas, Xenia, Dia Frampton and Jared Blake -- perform strong solos before belting out Maroon 5's hit 'This Love' with their country star coach.

I voted online, and I'm dangerously close to downloading a few of the songs on iTunes as well -- a sure sign of obsession -- but I'm still not sure how the eliminations will play out.

'The Voice': Three Things We Never Want to See Again

by Maggie Furlong, posted Jun 8th 2011 3:45PM
Christina Aguilera performs on 'The Voice'Last night, I went online and voted for reality TV contestants for the first time in my life, and I blame it all on 'The Voice.'

NBC's new hit reality singing competition has captured our attention and our hearts with touching stories, an interesting coaching concept and truly talented performers. Plus, the star power of coaches Cee Lo Green, Christina Aguilera, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine can't be denied.

But it's not all butterflies and rainbows, and this week's first live performance show proved that.

Here, three things from last night's show that I never want to see again on 'The Voice,' and one thing I could watch all day -- and you can, thanks to our looping video!

Dia Frampton Owns Kanye West's 'Heartless' As Piano Ballad on 'The Voice' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jun 8th 2011 3:41AM
Dia Frampton, 'The Voice'Despite having already released a major label album with her sister as Meg & Dia in 2009, Blake Shelton noticed that Dia Frampton seemed to have a nervous energy about her on 'The Voice' (Tue., 9PM ET on NBC). The band is unsigned now, so perhaps she sees this as a last opportunity to make a career doing what she loves.

In this first week of live competition, it's more important than ever for the contestants to come out strong and give their best performances. Shelton gave Frampton a real chance to shine with an unusual song choice in Kanye West's 'Heartless.'

To direct her nervous energy, she performed behind a grand piano and gave a very interesting and compelling performance. While her voice may not have soared as acrobatically as those on Christina Aguilera's team this week, Frampton certainly gave one of the most memorable performances of the night.

Blake Shelton's Very Odd Battle Round Pairing on 'The Voice' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted May 25th 2011 3:19AM
Serabee & Dia Frampton, 'The Voice'These Battle Rounds on 'The Voice' (Tue., 10PM ET on NBC) have certainly created some memorable duets. But sometimes the union of voices creates a performance that's so bizarre it's virtually indescribable.

It was definitely the case with Serabee and Dia Frampton this week. They were paired up by Blake Shelton, and while it could have possibly worked, Serabee seemed to do all she could to make 'You Can't Hurry Love' unrecognizable. If Frampton hadn't been singing the actual melody, it would have been completely ridiculous.

It was as if Serabee thought that by singing runs and by treating Dia as a back-up singer so she could perform vocal acrobatics, she was going to impress the judges. Instead, she left them scratching their heads.

Former 'Idol' Contestant Frenchie Davis Tries to Win Us Back on 'The Voice' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Apr 27th 2011 2:39AM
Frenchie Davis, 'The Voice'Frenchie Davis stole the hearts of America early in the second season of 'American Idol,' but later found herself disqualified for topless photos she had taken earlier in her career. That didn't sit well with 'Idol's family-friendly image. Now, eight years later Davis returned to a new singing competition series, 'The Voice' (Tue., 9PM ET on NBC).

In this premiere episode, it's the Blind Auditions. This means the coaches can't see who's singing and have to decide whether or not they want to work with them toward winning the show based on their voice alone.

This almost proved a double-edged sword for Davis as being recognized might have helped her get more support from the coaches.

'The Voice' Coaches Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Cee-Lo Green and Blake Shelton Get 'Crazy' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Apr 22nd 2011 7:20AM
'The Voice' PreviewNBC is pulling out all the stops to make sure we're ready for the series premiere of 'The Voice' on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 9 PM ET. They've blanketed the airwaves with ads, and then they decided to take it a step further with a full-blown preview of 'The Voice' (Thu., 11:35PM on NBC) premiere last night.

With 'American Idol' getting a lot of criticism of late for some of its recent results, and people saying it's more of a popularity contest than a true singing competition, there couldn't be a better time to launch an alternative take on the genre.

And to prove they've got the right superstars leading the charge as Coaches on 'The Voice,' the preview kicked off with the four of them proving their own mettle. Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Cee-Lo Green and Christina Aguilera performed a fantastic version of Gnarls Barkley's 'Crazy.'
