Two Hellboy movies coming to Toonami
by Adam Finley, posted Oct 16th 2006 11:04AM
Listen up, fans of comic books and comic book movies: two animated movies that will serve as continuations of both the Hellboy comic and the feature film are slated to appear on Cartoon Network's Toonami block in 2006 and 2007. The first, titled Hellboy: Sword of Storms, will air on Toonami October 28 at 9:30 pm. The second movie, Hellboy: Blood and Iron, is set for sometime in 2007. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm really excited about this, or rather, I would be if I actually read those comic books or ever saw the live-action movie, which I haven't. But hey, I relay this information to you out of pure, unconditional love. Damn straight. The new animated film will also include several people involved with the live-action feature film: Ron Pearlman, Selma Blair and Doug Jones will voice their characters from the original movie. Screenwriter Mike Mignola, who created Hellboy and co-wrote the first movie has also co-written the animated versions, and director Guillermo Del Toro will serve as creative producer along with Mignola.TV Squad Hot Topics
