Sarah Paulson, Peter MacNicol, Justin Gaston Join HBO's 'Game Change' and More TV News

HBO has added three more actors to its movie chronicling the John McCain/Sarah Palin presidential run, 'Game Change.'According to Deadline, Sarah Paulson will play McCain's "attractive" senior campaign adviser Nicolle Wallace, Peter MacNicol will play McCain's campaign manager Rick Davis, and Justin Gaston (a.k.a. Miley Cyrus' ex) will play Bristol Palin's babydaddy, Levi Johnston.
The first images of Julianne Moore as Palin surfaced this morning.

• Nicollette Sheridan has at least one 'Desperate Housewives' producer on her side during her legal battle with show creator Marc Cherry. A big point in Cherry's defense against Sheridan's unlawful termination claim is that he decided in June 2008 that her character would get killed off, but staff writer Kirkland Baker said she didn't know Edie would be killed off until at least September. • Ving Rhames will has booked the lead in the Comedy Central pilot 'Black Jack.' The actor will play a recently de-commissioned special ops agent. [Deadline]
• 'Aqua Teen Hunger Force' is changing its name. The adult swim show will now be known as 'Aqua Unit Patrol Squad.' The show's 100th episode will air this Sunday night at midnight. [adult swim]
News Roundup: Denise Richards Joins 'Blue Mountain State,' Logo to Debut 'The Gossip Queens' and More

Denise Richards has joined the cast of Spike TV's original series 'Blue Mountain State.'According to the Hollywood Reporter, Richards will play coach Marty Daniels' (ex-footballer Ed Marinaro) ex-wife Debra. 'Blue Mountain State' follows the fictional college football team at Blue Mountain State. Season 2 premieres Oct. 20 and will also feature Bill Parcells, Brian Bosworth, Stacy Keibler and Chuck Liddell as guest stars.
The series' first six episodes were seen be less than 1 million viewers, but it delivered a 165 percent increase in males 18-24 in its the time slot.

Denise Richards Moves to Sexy 'Blue Mountain State'

Hey, if her ex, Charlie Sheen, a.k.a. the highest-paid actor on TV, can be continually rewarded for his bad behavior, why can't Denise Richards try and earn a buck by reverting to her racy roots? According to US magazine, she can. Richards, whose reality show 'It's Complicated' was unceremoniously axed by the E! network last year, has joined the cast of Spike TV's raunchy football comedy 'Blue Mountain State.' She'll play a recurring character who will waste no time in bedding hottie costar Darin Brooks, who plays the resident hot shot quarterback.

Spike TV Renews 'Blue Mountain State'

The 'Blue Mountain State' football team will play another season, as Spike TV has renewed the sitcom, according to the Hollywood Reporter.The half-hour comedy, produced by Lionsgate TV, is little more than halfway through its first season and averaging about 1 million viewers (last week's episode drew 810,000).
'State' follows the antics of three freshman at a big football-centric Midwestern university. Of its star players, Sam Jones III (teammate Craig Shilo) is not expected to return for season 2 due to his arrest in October. The ex-'Smallville' actor (Clark Kent's BFF) was detained by federal authorities on charges of alleged possession and intent to sell 10,000 oxycodone pills. No word yet on whether his role will be recast.
