CNN Anchor Kiran Chetry Makes Verbal Gaffe, Calls Osama Bin Laden 'Obama' (VIDEO)

by Anthony Ventre, posted Mar 18th 2010 12:11PM
Verbal gaffe alert -- CNN news anchor Kiran Chetry made an unfortunate slip of the tongue today on 'American Morning' (weekdays, 6AM ET on CNN), referring to Osama Bin Laden as "Obama." Teasing a report from CIA Director Leon Panetta, which stated that pressure from U.S. troops has pushed Al Qaeda's top leaders into deep hiding, Chetry said that Al Qaeda and affiliated terrorist groups were frustrated and "begging for leadership from Obama," rather than Osama. She quickly corrected herself, and the story played out as intended when the two reporters began the 8 AM news two minutes later.

TV meltdowns, outbursts and blunders - VIDEO

Bill O'Reilly in his younger daysBe honest: who doesn't let out a good guffaw when watching somebody famous snap on TV? Or better yet, screw up?

Apparently, Bill O'Reilly is a big offender, since he is practically the star of the "outbursts" section of 30 Hilarious TV Meltdowns, Outbursts and Blunders, a collection of video clips highlighting these funnies. My favorite meltdown has got to be when Bill Clinton loses it in fits of laughter when Boris Yeltsin calls a reporter a disaster, after the reporter claims their summit was one. Or is it when a bunch of kids pelt a reporter with snowballs?
