[Ed. note: Sometimes we publish articles written by our readers via Seed.com, like the one below. TV Squad editors did not create or inform this list, but we have been inspired to create our own. Stay tuned for a list of our faves from Food Network. Add to the comments below to nominate your picks.]The Food Network has become an essential portal into the world of cooking. The network enjoys top ratings and is continually adding diverse cooking talents which entertain a range of food interests, tastes and techniques.
All of the Food Network shows bring something unique and interesting to the viewer. I picked the 10 best Food Network shows based on the chef's personality, and whether we learned new cooking techniques or recipes. If you love food and cooking, you will not be disappointed.
10. 'Diners, Drive-ins and Dives'
Guy Fieri won season 2 of 'Next Food Network Star' and now has three shows on the network. In 'Diners, Drive-ins and Dives,' Guy travels across America finding the most unique foods at road side shacks, sports bars, greasy spoons and shares the cooking secrets that make each spot irresistible and different from the last.
The Next Food Network flub
by Allison Waldman, posted Jul 18th 2008 9:31AM
The Food Network is one of my favorite channels, I admit it. I can tune in just about anytime and enjoy Ace of Cakes or Good Eats or Boy Meets Grill or Paula Deen, whatever. Generally speaking, they seem to have a good, consistent and enjoyable programming package. Okay, that's what's good about FN. Now for the sour to go with the sweet. Last night I was catching up with The Next Food Network Star, watching the second showing of the reality competition show because I wasn't able to watch the original broadcast. No big deal, right? Wrong!
More grillin' for Bobby Flay
by Allison Waldman, posted Mar 24th 2008 5:40PM
They're cooking up a new show for Bobby Flay, the Food Network chef who is quickly becoming the boy who just can't say no. The guy is cooking everywhere -- CBS' Early Show, Boy Meets Grill, Throwdown with Bobby Flay and, of course, he's one of the principals on Iron Chef America. And that doesn't include reruns of BBQ with Bobby Flay. But it's clearly not enough.TV Squad Hot Topics
