The rumors were true: Disney star Brandon Mychal Smith left 'Skating With the Stars' after a nasty bout with food poisoning prevented him from performing last week. Tough judge Johnny Weir thought Smith should have skated despite being taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Last night, Smith officially bowed out, saying he was still too weak to continue.

That leaves ski champ Jonny Moseley, soap star Rebecca Budig and reality princess Bethenny Frankel to skate in next week's finale. This week, they were asked to add some dangerous thrills and throws to the mix. For those of you tuning in only for the wipe-outs, sorry, there weren't any.

'Skating With the Stars': Johnny Weir Feuds With Bethenny Frankel: 'I Don't Care to Watch You'Bethenny Frankel is skating on thin ice on 'Skating With the Stars' (Mon., 8PM ET on ABC). Previously, the former 'Real Housewife' feuded with the judges, and was nearly eliminated several times. Her response to this? Frankel said that she's simply having a good time on the show: "I don't care if they give me zeros."

But on tonight's episode, judge Johnny Weir got into an argument with Bethenny after her routine. The reality starlet gave a stiff performance, skating awkwardly to 'Superstition' by Stevie Wonder. When she was done, Weir said that he didn't want to see her skate again.

"To me it's very clear. You don't care what we think; and I don't care to watch you perform anymore," the judge said.

'Skating With the Stars' Judge Johnny Weir: Sick Celebs Should 'Get Out There and Perform'

by Michael Maloney, posted Dec 7th 2010 5:00PM
Johnny Weir, Skating with the StarsDon't let the smile and flamboyant costumes fool you -- Johnny Weir is no pushover. The 'Skating With the Stars' judge feels that skaters -- even of the aspiring/celebrity kind -- need to perform even when they're injured.

Brandon Mychal Smith ('Sonny With a Chance'), who's competing on the ABC reality competition series, was shown on Monday's episode being taken away on a stretcher in an ambulance. Footage of what appeared to be him vomiting was blurred out. On a doctor's advice, he did not perform. He and partner Keauna McLaughlin were judged on a taped rehearsal.

During the judges' critique, Weir wished Smith a speedy recovery, but also chastised him for not showing up to give it the old college try.

"If you're required to perform, you perform," Weir said.

'Skating With the Stars': Two Stars Are Rushed to the Hospital, One Goes Home (VIDEO)

'Skating With the Stars': Two Stars Are Rushed to the Hospital, One Goes Home'Skating With the Stars' might be suffering from a voodoo curse. Or maybe the skating rink was originally built over an ancient burial ground. At any rate, things keep going wrong on the show. On tonight's episode (Mon., 8PM ET on ABC), two stars were rushed to the hospital, and one star was sent home.

First, skier Jonny Moseley cut the finger of his partner Brooke Castile. The injury occurred during practice, when Moseley's skate got caught in her hand, slashing Brooke's finger to the bone. Brooke was a real pro -- or at least is super-tough. She didn't make a sound, and Jonny didn't even notice that he had cut her -- until he saw her bleeding all over the rink. Brooke received stitches on her finger and returned in time for tonight's competition.

'Skating With the Stars' Season 1, Episode 2 Recap

In the second week of 'Skating With the Stars,' there were a few falls as skaters added tricky moves like fancy footwork and lifts, and the first star was eliminated.

The judges attempted to figure out tough moves of their own, like getting the correct score paddle. Veteran skater Dick Button seemed to have trouble with his paddles, saying "8" but flashing a "7" to Jonny Moseley.

The confusion continued as clueless host Vernon Kay's comment on the mix-up was also inaccurate. Oops. Kay also referred to Vince Neil's partner Jennifer Wester, as "Brooke," (Jonny's partner) before correcting himself. Hmm, does he realize this show is live?

Read on to see who went home and who's still skating.
