ABC has picked up the Ashley Judd drama 'Missing' to series.

The show, which stars Judd as the mother of a son who goes missing while studying abroad in Rome, began production on the first of its 10 episodes this week.

ABC has yet to announce which of its other pilots have been ordered to series. Meanwhile, Fox and NBC both picked up several new shows earlier this week. Expect a steady stream of announcements before the networks present their programming slates to the press at upfronts next week.

In other TV news ...

• 'Breaking In' isn't as dead as previously thought. According to new reports, Fox is still considering renewing the series but won't make a decision until after upfronts. [Deadline]

• Alton Brown has decided to end his Food Network series 'Good Eats.' The host said recently on Twitter that after 249 episodes, he won't make any new ones. [LA Weekly]

• 'Teen Mom 2' star Jenelle Evans has entered rehab. The troubled mom of Jace, 1, is reportedly not seeking treatment for drug or alcohol abuse -- just the tried-and-true "exhaustion." [PopEater]

Snoop Dogg is heading to the hills -- Beverly Hills. The rapper will appear as himself on an episode of The CW's '90210.'

According to TVLine, Snoop will guest star alongside his daughter Cori, but she'll be playing a character unrelated to him.

Look for Snooop to share a scene with Dixon (Tristan Wilds). The two meet a car wash and Dixon does his best to impress the famous musician.

• Pedro Pascal has booked a recurring role on 'Brothers & Sisters.' The 'Good Wife' actor will play a homeless veteran who becomes friends with Justin. [TVLine]

• 'True Blood' is adding yet another recurring character to its bloated cast. Paola Turbay will play Antonia, a fluent Spanish speaker. [Deadline Hollywood]

When 'Desperate Housewives' returns from its big cliffhanger shooting of nasty Wisteria Lane neighbor Paul Young (Jan. 2, 9PM ET, ABC), there's much drama and comedy on tap: A rare guest spot by 'Dallas' icon Larry Hagman, Susan's (Teri Hatcher) health woes following the riot, Gaby's (Eva Longoria) obsession with Grace, Lynette's (Felicity Huffman) vengeance against Tom (Doug Savant) for his fling with Renee (Vanessa Williams) and Bree's (Maria Cross) continuing cougar romance with handsome handyman Keith (guest star Brian Austin Green).

Green, the 'Beverly Hills 90210' alum, made headlines this year with his real-life marriage to 'Transformers' star Megan Fox and his continuing primetime comeback, which has included roles on 'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles,' 'Smallville' and now 'DH.' Earlier this month, Green spoke to us about what's ahead for Bree and Keith in the new year, about how much he's enjoying the show's more comedic aspects and how he initially dreaded the thought of the shirtless scenes that would be a part of his role as the 'hood hunk.

Late night talk show guests seem to be getting a little overly lusty these days. Already tonight, we've seen Dame Helen Mirren kissing Jay Leno. But that was nothing. On 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC), we experienced some full-blown guy-on-guy making out ... as Brian Austin Green gave Jimmy Kimmel a very hearty smooch on the lips.

And unlike Helen Mirren, Mr. Green didn't dilly-dally or procrastinate. No, his mind was made up as soon as he walked onto the stage. Brian strode confidently up to Mr. Kimmel, grabbed his cheeks -- then planted a big wet kiss right on his face.

After this, there was some debate about whether the pair had ever kissed before. Brian says they did; Jimmy says they didn't. We never fully resolved the issue, though we did learn this -- according to Brian, Jimmy Kimmel is a very tender lover: "You're passionate; you're a soft kisser." Aw. How ... sweet.

Jonathan Kent is the father of Metallo! Well, sort of.

'Smallville' and 'Dukes of Hazzard' veteran John Schneider is heading to Wisteria Lane to play the father of Brian Austin Green's character, Keith, on 'Desperate Housewives.' 'Smallville' fans will know Green as the villainous Metallo.

According to The Ausiello Files, Schneider will appear in multiple episodes of the primetime ABC soap beginning with season 7's seventh episode.

Schneider recently popped up on TV Land's 'Hot in Cleveland' and 'Leverage.' He's returning to 'Smallville' for its final season in the show's season premiere, which is titled 'Lazarus.' Green, the former 'Beverly Hills, 90210' star, appeared on three episodes of 'Smallville' last season.

Greetings from Beverly Hills! On the first day of the TCA summer press tour, the assembled critics didn't get penned up in the Beverly Hilton's International Ballroom listening to panels all day (that starts tomorrow with CBS). We were allowed to roam free on the sets of 'Desperate Housewives,' 'Parenthood,' and 'Undercovers' (the new J.J. Abrams show).

I'll write a bit about 'Parenthood' later in the week, mostly to talk about some fun stuff from Lauren Graham, but for now let's concentrate on 'Housewives' Marc Cherry held court with reporters on the Wisteria Lane set, with stars Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross, Eva Longoria Parker, and Vanessa Williams to back him up. He gave some interesting tidbits about the show's upcoming seventh season. It'll be all about conflict and Brian Austin Green, not necessarily in that order:

Rumors floated earlier this week that the 'Beverly Hills 90210' star might be joining the cast of 'Desperate Housewives,' and, after a meeting with 'DH' creator Marc Cherry last week, Green is definitely going to be the newest neighbor on Wisteria Lane next season, according to Deadline Hollywood.

Is 'Beverly Hills 90210' resident Brian Austin Green moving to a new primetime 'hood, namely Wisteria Lane?

Could be, as, according to TV Guide, Green is mulling an offer to join the cast of 'Desperate Housewives' as Keith, a new hunk who turns the heads of the women of Wisteria Lane.

Bonnie Hunt breaks out a commercial starring Brian Austin Green that he made as a child for Cocoa Krispies on 'The Bonnie Hunt Show' (weekdays, syndicated).

In the commercial, a very young Green espouses the great chocolatey taste of the cereal, and even appears with the iconic elf trio Snap, Crackle and Pop.

One of the downsides to hanging out with Superman is that you may occasionally get hit on by a supervillain. On 'Smallville' (Fri., 8PM ET on The CW), Lois Lane (Erica Durance) gets a taste of this when Metallo (Brian Austin Green) puts the moves on her. Sure, he's cute. But he's a cyborg with a Kryptonite-powered heart who hates Superman -- not really the best catch.

(S09E17) Five episodes left in this ninth season, so General Zod needs to start putting together whatever his endgame plan is going to be. Steps were definitely taken toward that this week, but first we got the return of one of Superman's deadliest foes: Metallo.

It's always nice to see Brian Austin Green, and he's actually quite effective in this role. I was a little disappointed in how quickly they were able to re-establish his character in whatever way they needed him for this week, but I'll forgive it because it was so much fun seeing almost everyone else turned on their ears.

Checkmate and The Wall took a break from intimidating everyone and pushing Tess around, which freed Tess up to make an unexpected alliance. Also missing from the fun was Green Arrow, but there was plenty of action without them.

Eat your heart out, Iron Man, because it looks like Metallo is coming back to town.

According to the Ausiello Files, Brian Austin Green will be returning to 'Smallville' to reprise the role of supervillain Metallo, a cyborg who is powered by an artificial Kryptonite heart. When we last saw the character, who made his debut during this season's September 25 premiere, he was seemingly killed when his heart was accidentally removed from his chest. But like most comic book characters, it appears that he has a superior health plan.

Something about the syndicated Who Wants to Be a Millionaire seems off this season. It might be the gimmicky "Tournament of Ten" that they've been building towards; it starts next week. Or it might be the bumped-up money tree they've instituted, paired with tougher questions; now it's easier to get the first safety level (now $5,000) but much more difficult to get to the second (still $25,000).

But what might also be off is that the producers have been mixing in some very young contestants into the show, and when they're on, the program screeches to a halt.

Why? They're too young. Even if they're the most book-smart kids on the planet, their knowledge of pop culture and historic events goes back maybe ten years, and those questions are a large part of the stack most contestants get.
