Britney Spears & Lady Gaga, '2011 MTV Video Music Awards'As always, the 'MTV Video Music Awards' (Sun., 9PM ET on MTV) was a spectacle of sight and sound, filled with the hottest faces and voices in popular music. Jay-Z and Kany West lit up the stage with a duet, while Mrs. Jay-Z, Beyonce, performed and revealed that the couple was expecting.

Lady Gaga presented yet another crazy costume, only this time the craziest thing about it was that she was portraying a man -- her own lover, no less. She stayed in character to present Britney Spears with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, where the pair almost kissed, but Spears said, "I've done that already."

by Donald Deane, posted Apr 22nd 2011 10:00AM
Gwyneth Paltrow stopped by 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated) and discussed the possibility of making an album. According to Paltrow, she hasn't signed a recording contract yet, but she's seriously considering it. She just needs to work up the courage first, though.

"I kind of have to get my head around the concept of it and how I would want to do it," she said. "All the singing I've been doing has been coming out of 'Country Strong' or 'Glee.' So, I sort of think, 'Well, how would I do that, just a record by myself?' It feels a little scary to me, but I would like to in theory. We'll see."

'Jackass' Crew Subjects Britney Spears to 'Poo Cocktail Supreme' (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted Mar 30th 2011 5:45AM
Britney Spears Endures Jackass StuntBefore Britney Spears took to the stage of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC) to perform her new single, Johnny Knoxville shared footage of the 'Jackass 3D' gang subjecting the pop star to horrific levels of human excrement.

Roll tape. She claims she's not afraid of "poo-poo." But what about the "poo cocktail supreme"? They lock her in a porta-potty lodged between bungee ropes. As the portable toilet soars through the air, bouncing up and down, human waste splatters throughout the inside, across the camera and all over Spears (er, a stunt double).

Perhaps the grossest aspect of the ordeal is that she keeps screaming -- so her mouth is open the whole time.

'Glee' Season 2, Episode 2 Recap (VIDEO)

by Joel Keller, posted Sep 29th 2010 9:59AM
Heather Morris does her best Britney Spears on 'Glee' - 'Britney / Brittany' on FOX['Glee' - 'Britney / Brittany']

You've got to give credit to Ryan Murphy and company for rolling out the big, overhyped Britney Spears blowout in the second episode of the season. Most shows would leave such a "special episode" for November or for spring. But 'Glee' knows that the Britney coup was something that needed to be taken advantage of, and they had enough banked goodwill from their first season to be able to do it and make their fans squeal with excitement.

Almost going in, though, you had to know that story was going to be sacrificed for the music. So if you're a Britney fan or a fan of the show's musical numbers, it was a good episode. If you're a fan of the characters or story, well... better luck next week, right?

Hear Full Versions of the 'Glee' Britney Spears Covers

by Jean Bentley, posted Sep 24th 2010 3:30PM
Britney Spears on 'Glee'Ladies, gentlemen and closeted Britney Spears fans everywhere: The full versions of the 'Glee' Britney Spears covers have leaked, and they're amazing.

While we got a taste of the 'Glee'-ification of the tunes yesterday, it was impossible to tell that they'd be this fun and energetic. Since Britney's songs are inherently poppy, the cheerful 'Glee' harmonies don't seem out of place (like in the weird Kidz Bop-esque cover of "Empire State of Mind" last week). In fact, they enhance the tracks and make us remember why we loved Britney in the first place.

'Glee' Versions of Britney Spears Songs Surface: Which One Does Brittany Sing?

by Jean Bentley, posted Sep 23rd 2010 3:30PM
'Glee'Can't wait until next Tuesday's all-Britney Spears episode of 'Glee' to hear how the show handled the musician's oeuvre? You're in luck -- a clip with snippets of five 'Glee'-ified Britney hits landed on YouTube today.

If you prefer to be surprised when the show airs, you might want to avert your eyes right about now. For the non-spoiler-phobic among you, the leaked songs include "Toxic," "Hit Me Baby One More Time," "Stronger," "I'm a Slave 4 U" and "Me Against the Music."

Mr. Schue takes the lead on "Toxic," Rachel gets the top spot on "Hit Me" and Artie solos on "Stronger." We're pretty sure that Brittany makes her singing debut on "I'm a Slave 4U" and "Me Against the Music," with the real Britney lending guest vocals to the latter. But, since this judgment is based on a not-so-high-quality 30-second clip, we could be very wrong. Rounding out the video is a lovely Rachel-centric version of Paramore's "The Only Exception," which, appropriately, is the only exception to the rest of the all-Britney material.

Click through to listen, then let us know what you think of the new versions.
