A twisted preview of the Kids in the Hall's twisted new miniseries

by Danny Gallagher, posted Dec 8th 2009 5:32PM
The Kids in the Hall's official page at FunnyorDie.com has a preview of their mystery murder mini-series called Death Comes to Town.

The trailer is very promising that we'll get some good ol' fashioned classic KITH, the way Mom used to make it. So far, it's only scheduled for air in Canada next month and even though I'm a big KITH fan, I'm not willing to endure a minute of Canadian winter to watch it. So they better get their collective asses to the U.S. in a hurry.

A clip from the Kids in the Hall live show - VIDEOS

Kids in the hallMan, how I miss this show.

Someone who attended the Kids in the Hall reunion performance at the Just for Laughs festival posted the encore on YouTube, and I've placed it below for your viewing pleasure. Some of the dialogue is difficult to make out, but fans shouldn't have any trouble figuring out what's going on. Mark McKinney reprises his role as the "headcrusher" guy, that wormy fella who loved to vanquish those he disliked by closing one eye and pretending to crush their heads between his thumb and forefinger. In the segment below, he kills off the other cast members (Scott Thompson, Bruce McCullough, Dave Foley and Kevin McDonald) for their poor career choices post- Kids in the Hall. In a final bit of inspired meta comedy, McKinney turns his wrath on himself.

Kids in the Hall Best Of DVD coming in August

by Bob Sassone, posted Jun 16th 2006 8:34AM
Kids in the HallI really loved a lot of Kids in the Hall, but a lot of it I didn't (that's going to happen with long-running sketch shows, from Kids in the Hall to SCTV to SNL), so I'm kinda interested in this "best of" DVD that is going to be released by A&E/NewVideo in August. I've been holding off on buying the season sets, so if this is truly a best of DVD, then it might be worth getting. But sometimes these "greatest hits" type of sets can be really disappointing.

But the price is right, around $14. The set will be released on August 29.
