'Bad Girls' Club Headed to Miami for Season 5
by Audrey Fine, posted Jan 22nd 2010 10:20AM
Mourning the season's end of 'Jersey Shore'? Well, don't despair too much, because there's always Oxygen's 'Bad Girls Club' to help you get your fix of, well, you know.In fact, this 4th season of 'Bad Girls Club' has been so salaciously addictive that it's drawn record numbers to the women's network. prompting an order for a 5th season that will find the women outside of Los Angeles for the first time and poised to wreak havoc on Miami (in other words: watch out, Kourtney and Khloe).
The executive producers, Bunim-Murray, the braintrusts behind such seminal shows as 'The Real World' and 'Road Rules,' couldn't be happier. "Every time [we have] taken a series to Miami, we've been embraced by the city and its people and had huge ratings, so we're excited about bringing yet another series to the city," said Jon Murray in a statement, according to Variety.
Four more seasons of drinking, nudity and irresponsibility coming to MTV
by Bob Sassone, posted Mar 31st 2009 1:33PM
A few years ago, it looked like The Real World was on its last legs, didn't it? It seemed like people had other reality shows to watch, and it wouldn't have shocked anyone if MTV got rid of it because it had been on since the early 90s. But there has been a bit of resurgence with the Brooklyn season, and MTV wants more more more. The network has renewed the Bunim-Murray show for four more seasons. Not one, not two, not three, but four.Project Runway gets new producers for Lifetime
by Allison Waldman, posted Jun 29th 2008 5:16PM
A couple of months ago, I interviewed Lifetime president of entertainment Susanne Daniels for TV Week, asking her about Project Runway jumping from Bravo to her network. "We know for certain that Heidi (Klum) and Tim (Gunn) are returning. We would love to see the judges back, Michael Kors and Nina Garcia...but we're working on that," she said.
She went on to say that the show will look and feel very much like it did on Bravo; it will be airing in the same time slot, the same day of the week. And she secured Kors and Garcia, so the four important Project Runway principals all will be in place.
Now comes word that in an effort to keep Project Runway as much a hit on Lifetime as it's been on Bravo, Lifetime is bringing in the veteran production team Bunim-Murray to take over as showrunners.
The Real World eyes Sydney
by Julia Ward, posted Jan 8th 2007 4:09PM
Reality Blurred is reporting that ads for production assistants have popped in Australia for a possible Real World production down under. While the ads aren't always the best indication that The Real World will be taking up residence in your town, they do come courtesy of the show's production company Bunim-Murray.The Real World hasn't been abroad since their lackluster London and Paris seasons, but seeing how dramatically the show has changed since the seminal Las Vegas season of debauchery, a trip to Sydney is bound to play like an over-privileged college kid's junior year abroad. They'll be lucky if the brain trust they send down there does anything but marvel at the lower drinking age and the availability of beer other than Foster's.
