Jon Stewart Admires 'Jackass' Team, Compares Them to Buster Keaton (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Oct 12th 2010 6:50AM
When Johnny Knoxville said he and his 'Jackass' cronies "have no idea what we're doing," Jon Stewart strongly disagreed. "Boy, this is going to sound crazy," said the 'Daily Show' (weeknights, 11PM ET on COM) host. "Anybody can whack someone in the nuts, but the way that you guys [do it] ... When you told me that they were screening this at MoMA, my first thought was, 'Yeah, I can see that.'"Stewart went on to compare the slapstick comedians to Buster Keaton, the revolutionary comic actor and filmmaker of the silent-film era. "They put themselves through these trials and tribulations in a similar fashion." Knoxville compared his team to the not-so-revolutionary (being fictional and all) 'Tom & Jerry.'
