Barbra Streisand talks to The Doctors
by Allison Waldman, posted Nov 16th 2009 11:30AM
There will be an interesting guest checking in with The Doctors today -- Barbra Streisand. No, the singer/actress/director won't be talking about dry throat or stage fright or even tinnitus, an ailment she suffers from that causes an unending high-pitched ringing in the ears. Barbra Streisand is calling in to The Doctors to discuss heart health awareness for women... and even though I've never watched The Doctors, I will today. I guess that's why and how celebrity helps causes like this. It draws attention and, presumably, I'm going to get something of value out of tuning in. I've already had my eyes opened.
Tom Green gets another show... online
by Anna Johns, posted Jun 4th 2006 4:29PM
Tom Green may be on to something. He just got his own weekly call-in show online. Considering all the video that people are watching on the internet these days, it sounds like a damn good idea. Green will host his show from his own living room on TVMania.com, a Denver-based website, and also on TomGreen.com. It'll be mostly call-in and it sounds like he'll also play some of the goofy video bits he's been posting to his website. As for guests? Tom doesn't think so, saying, "I doubt we'll get anybody good. It's in my living room. How rinky dink is that?"Tom is going back to his roots, in a way. He started out on cable access television before getting his own show on MTV, of which I was a huge fan (Tom Green+College Students=Ratings). Internet video is the new cable access, isn't it? ANYONE can have a show online. And it's completely uncensored. Tom's new show launches on June 15.
