Camp Lazlo marathon and movie in February
by Adam Finley, posted Jan 24th 2007 1:02PM
Not too long ago Cartoon Network aired a marathon of My Gym Partner's a Monkey episodes followed by a one-hour My Gym Partner is a Monkey movie. If a monkey on a campground as opposed to a monkey in a school is more your cup of tea (or more your kids' cup of tea), Cartoon Network will also be airing a marathon of Camp Lazlo episodes starting at 9am on February 18 and ending with a brand new Camp Lazlo movie, Where's Lazlo? at 7pm. The one-hour movie follows the adventures of Lazlo the monkey after he removes a pinecone from a bear's nose and sets off a wacky chain of events.
New episodes of Camp Lazlo begin February 2.
Cartoon Network's spooky October
by Adam Finley, posted Sep 22nd 2006 7:59PM
Looking for a way to keep the kids out of your hair for the month of October? Send them to the playroom and flip on Cartoon Network, because it'll be broadcasting Halloween-centric programming throughout most of the month, ending with a nine and a half hour marathon on Halloween. Kids can look forward to Halloween-y episodes and specials of The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Casper the Friendly Ghost, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Scooby Doo, The Life and Times of Juniper Lee, Camp Lazlo, and Ed, Edd n Eddy. Other specials include episodes of the CGI Scary Godmother, and the live-action Scooby Doo movie. The Halloween marathon, which kicks off at 1 p.m., will consist mostly of episodes aired the previous weeks. More information on showtimes can be found here.Mattel launching Cartoon Network toys in 2007
by Adam Finley, posted Jun 15th 2006 3:01PM
Cartoon Network Enterprises announced recently it had signed a license deal with Mattel to create toys based on its animated series for the 6 to 11 age group. What this means is that in 2007 we'll be seeing new toys and games hit the shelves based on shows such as Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Camp Lazlo, My Gym Partner's A Monkey, Powerpuff Girls, Ed, Edd n Eddy, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, and The Life and Times of Juniper Lee. Relationships between Cartoon Network and other toy manufacturers will remain unaffected. I don't buy toys for myself anymore, obviously, but since I have nieces and nephews in this age bracket the news caught my attention. Foster's will be the first show to have its toyline launched, and I'm curious to see what kind of action figures they come up with based on those characters.TV Squad Hot Topics
