CBS Halloween online press event: Ghost Whisperer preview and How To Survive a Horror Movie

by Kristin Sample, posted Oct 22nd 2007 1:07PM
Ghost Whisperer
On Thursday October 18th, I attended a blogger event for CBS at Universal Studios in Los Angeles. After waiting a surprisingly long time to clear security (all the while the security guard kept my driver's license with him), I finally started my tour of the Ghost Whisperer stages. Along with a tour of the show's set, the press event also included interviews with the executive producers, a sneak preview of the Halloween episode (airing October 26th), and a tour of the show's back lot (in the context of the Universal Studios R.I.P. experience). Completely unrelated to Ghost Whisperer but interesting all the same, we got a sneak preview of How to Survive a Horror Movie: All the Skills to Dodge the Kills and an interview with writer/director Seth Grahame-Smith.

by Anna Johns, posted Sep 26th 2006 2:33PM
david e kelleyDavid E. Kelley, TV Warrior, is all kinds of busy these days. He is working with FOX on a new comedy about a group of jurors who are sequestered in a motel during a high-profile trial. The network has committed to shoot a pilot of the untitled show. He also recently supervised another comedy pilot for FOX, called Five Finger Discount, and he created a half-hour spin-off of The Practice for star Camryn Manheim. However, his top priority these days is Life on Mars, a sci-fi drama he's creating for ABC (based on the British version). Oh, and he's married to Michelle Pfeiffer.

Camryn Manheim joins cast of Ghost Whisperer

by Adam Finley, posted Jul 20th 2006 2:04PM
Is anyone still watching Ghost Whisperer? I guess enough people must have tuned in to see Jennifer Love Hewitt confab with the netherworld because the show is coming back for a second season, though this time Hewitt's best pal will be played by Camryn Manheim rather than Aisha Tyler, whose character was written off the show in the season finale. Apparently they've been trying to get Manheim to do the show for awhile now, and they must have finally convinced her. Manheim was previously on The Practice and recently appeared in episodes of The L Word on Showtime.
