Real stories behind Deadliest Catch
by Kristin Sample, posted Jun 11th 2008 8:24AM
On Tuesday , June 17th at 10 p.m. an all new season of After the Catch will premiere. This five-part series, airing each week after Deadliest Catch, will look deeper into the most dangerous jobs and people who do them. One of these behind-the-scenes looks will feature Captain Phil Harris and Gloucester's legendary fishermen. The captain will sit down with Mike Rowe of Dirty Jobs for an interview. Rowe will also talk to the crew, author Spike Walker and Dutch Harbor bartender Lisa Roberts for the inside scoop on what life is really like in the port town.CBS Monday news: Captain, Christine get new premiere date
by Jason Hughes, posted Dec 14th 2007 2:25PM
Now that the fall shows are drying up, those midseason replacements are becoming more and more essential. Zap2It tells us CBS has shifted the premieres of The Captain and The New Adventures of Old Christine from January 28 to February 4 (so as to not compete with the State of the Union Address). And furthermore, The Captain has been redubbed Welcome to the Captain.
In this new series, Fran Kranz plays a young man who moves into a legendary Hollywood apartment complex. His new neighbors are played by the likes of Raquel Welch, Jeffrey Tambor, Chris Klein and more. Which I guess means it's a show about a bunch of wacky neighbors, as opposed to the requisite one.
Eric Bogosian joins Law and Order: CI
by Bob Sassone, posted Jul 19th 2006 10:59AM
Writer and actor Eric Bogosian is joining the cast of Law and Order: Criminal Intent. He'll take over for Jamey Sheridan (who is leaving the show) as the police captain.Bogosian is an acclaimed playwright, most famous for Talk Radio (the play and the movie), plus the plays Drinking In America, Suburbia, and Sex, Drugs, Rock & Roll. Besides roles in Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, Ararat, and Blade: Trinity, Bogosian played the bad guy in Under Siege 2 and the nasty record exec in the short-lived Love Monkey earlier this year.
This could be an interesting casting choice. Bogosian is always good for a quirky performance, and maybe he'll spice up his own dialogue a bit.
Monk: Mr. Monk and the Captain's Marriage
by Adam Finley, posted Jan 28th 2006 12:45AM
Monk, like MASH, is difficult to
define as either a "comedy" or a "drama," but whatever it is, the "drama" part was kicked
up a few notches with last night's episode, which focused on Captain Stottlemeyer and his crumbling
marriage.
