Caroline Manzo Frustrates 'Good Day NY' by Not Gossiping About Teresa Giudice (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 4th 2011 12:30AM
Caroline Manzo, 'Good Day New York'Caroline Manzo was driving the crew of 'Good Day New York' (Weekdays, 9AM ET on Fox) absolutely crazy with her interview. They were hoping for the same kind of juicy gossip that permeates 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey,' but she wasn't offering up much.

They even tried to goad her by talking about Teresa Giudice, with whom she had a pretty big falling out during this past season. Manzo admitted the two have a "non-existent" relationship right now, but refused to gossip about Giudice, or her husband in any way.

Dina Manzo Addresses 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' Feuds

by Chris Harnick, posted Oct 24th 2011 12:05PM
Dina Manzo Real Housewives of New Jersey FeudsFormer 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' star Dina Manzo has spoken out about the Bravo reality show and its resulting drama for the "last time." Manzo broke her silence in a new blog post, addressing why she left the show and the state of her relationships with the other reality stars, including her sister, Caroline.

"Yes, It's true I decided to distance myself from ALL the housewives once I left season 2," she wrote on DinaManzo.com. "I really wanted to walk away from all of the toxic behavior, I was not into ganging up on anyone and I was no longer obligated to talk about Danielle so the best thing for me to do was stay away. They still needed to do this and I get that, but I had no desire. I guess some of the 'housewives' may have taken that as I think I'm better than them ... that couldn't be further from the truth." "This reunion is very revealing, and so many of you are going to be shocked at the revelations that are going to be exposed," Carolina Manzo said. The clip showed a moment at the reunion where Andy Cohen talked about possible jail-time that Joe Giudice could be facing.

Caroline Manzo & Melissa Gorga on the 'Real Housewives' Experience (VIDEO)

by Chris Harnick, posted Jul 27th 2011 1:30PM
Real Housewives of New JerseyWhen you're on a reality show, you can only control so much of how you're perceived. Just ask 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' stars Melissa Gorga and Caroline Manzo.

This is Caroline's third season, and the proud mama bear of the group said it's been a crazy couple of years.

"It's been a tremendous experience," she said. "I wanted something interesting to do with my family and I got a whirlwind of an experience."

Melissa, sister-in-law to Teresa Giudice, has been involved with the season's biggest storyline, the feud between her husband Joe, and Teresa. While the cameras showed some clashes between Melissa and Teresa, Melissa said it's not exactly accurate.

"[The feud] really is between a brother and a sister, "Melissa said. "And I do get caught in the middle."

'Millionaire Matchmaker' Helps Sons of NJ 'Housewife' Caroline Manzo (VIDEO)

Patti Stanger Helps Caroline Manzo's SonsNow that 'The Millionaire Matchmaker' (Tue., 9PM ET on BRAVO) is firmly settled in the Big Apple, Patti Stanger gets a visit from Caroline Manzo of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey.' Her sons Albie and Chris are only 24 and 21, respectively, but they're MITs ("Millionaires in Training").

Before the native Jersey girl can set them up, she needs to know their type and asks about celebrity crushes. "Sloan from 'Entourage,'" says Albie.

Patti then asks -- with Mom standing right there -- "You both breast men? Or do we like the little caboose?" If this weren't awkward enough, Caroline answers the question. Then Patti addresses the issue of sex. The horror! The horror!

'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' Make Apologies Uncomfortable to Watch (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 7th 2010 4:00AM
'The Real Housewives of New Jersey''The Real Housewives of New Jersey' (Mon., 10PM on BRAVO) got together for a reunion special, which served also as a farewell of sorts for cast-member Danielle Staub, who will not be returning for the franchise's third season. Perhaps because this was her last chance with the cast, it seemed that Danielle was ready to put the ugly past of the show behind her.

She and Jacqueline Laurita apologized profusely to one another, after which Danielle announced she would be contacting her lawyer to drop any litigation she has pending against Jacqueline's daughter (for a hair-pulling incident).

The scene ended with a lengthy hug where Danielle proclaimed, "No more. No More. I love you," to a clearly uncomfortable Jacqueline, who couldn't contain her awkward giggles.

Confrontation Between Danielle and Caroline on NJ 'Housewives'In the season finale of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' (Mon., 10PM ET on BRAVO), Caroline Manzo made a final appeal to Danielle Staub to drop the charges against Ashley Holmes, daughter of fellow Housewife Jacqueline Laurita. But the conversation quickly spiraled into a verbal smackdown, with swelling music for added effect.

"You are not fooling me, 'k? And you're not fooling too many other people," said Caroline. "You know what you are? You're a clown." Danielle replied, "You saying this -- sitting there with red hair? I'm the clown?"

Caroline Manzo on the Wild Lives of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey'

by Joel Keller, posted May 3rd 2010 11:02AM
Caroline Manzo of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey'The second season of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' is upon us. Starting tonight at 10PM ET on Bravo, the five ladies from Franklin Lakes -- sisters Caroline and Dina Manzo, Jacqueline Laurita, table-tosser Teresa Guidice and pot-stirrer Danielle Staub -- return to give audiences more of the family togetherness and interpersonal conflict that made the first season such a big hit.

And if anyone thinks the Manzos have let bygones be bygones with the mysterious Staub, don't worry. There's plenty of new conflict set for the second season, including an incident where Staub accused Laurita's daughter Ashley of pulling out one of her hair extensions. Last week, I spoke to Caroline, the family matriarch who made the phrase "thick as thieves" more popular than ever, about the incident -- which actually went to court -- what her highest and lowest moments of the last year were, and why she thinks reality producers are suddenly in love with the Garden State.

We love it when Regis Philbin gets contentious! On 'Live With Regis and Kelly' (weekdays, syndicated), Philbin squares off against the cast of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey,' questioning whether the women's antics are real or scripted.

First, Philbin asks the housewives whether Danielle Staub, who failed to appear on the show with the rest of the cast, is a genuine villain, or just one invented for TV.

Monday was the beginning of the 'Real Housewives of Millionaire Week' on 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire' (weekdays, syndicated), in which various reality show 'Housewives' team up with real housewives to win a million dollars.

On Monday's show, host Meredith Vieira asked 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' wife Caroline Manzo about her beef with Danielle Staub. "There's a lot of crazy, I'm sure you all know" Manzo said. "And I sure there's more to come." In a clip from 'Housewives,' Manzo stressed the importance of family: "We're thick as thieves and we protect each other to the end." "It's the truth," Manzo told Vieira. "There's nothing more important than family."

Think the Real Housewives of Jersey is over? Fuggedaboudit!

by Joel Keller, posted Jun 18th 2009 11:29AM
Caroline Manzo during the Real Housewives of NJ finaleThe power of The Real Housewives of New Jersey is amazing to me. I normally can't stand the Real Housewives series. And, as a lifelong Jerseyan, the Sopranos-esque stereotypes of pampered Bergen County wives initially made me queasy. But dammit, the show hooked me and kept me watching the whole season; it even led me to write the hacky headline above. Why? Because this one had a plot.

The story of the creepily over-Botoxed Danielle Staub and how the rest of the Housewives found out about her sordid past was the thread that kept even Bravo-except-for-Top-Chef-averse people like myself tuning in. Oh, and the fact that they teased the "Last Supper" finale all season (showing matriarch Caroline saying "we're thick as thieves" about a thousand times) also kept me watching. And the finale didn't disappoint: people turning on each other, tables getting tipped over, exceedingly mature children horrified at their parents' behavior... it was great.

But if you thought it was over, think again. As the New York Post reports and Bravo has been promoting, the cable net will air four more episodes.
