'Castle' Star Jon Huertas Talks About His 'Sex Tape'
by PopEater Staff, posted Jul 5th 2011 7:30AM
Nowadays it seems like every celebrity has a sex tape lurking in the background, and Jon Huertas, who plays Det. Javier Esposito on ABC's 'Castle,' recently tantalized fans with the promise of his own.Unfortunately for some revved-up fans, it was all a marketing stunt for his new single. Huertas concocted a faux "sex tape," and got his 35,000 Twitter followers into a tizzy before he released what was actually a super-sexy music video instead.
The versatile New Yorker, 41, has an interesting background: He's a U.S. Air Force Special Ops vet, who served eight years in the military before launching his showbiz career. Huertas spoke to PopEater about his so-called "sex tape," why he got kicked out of college and what he thinks of the war in Iraq.
Tell us about the video for your single.
Originally, I was going to do a video that was a throwback to 'Grease,' but then, because my album is called 'Sex Tape,' and every one of my songs has its roots in sex in some way, I decided that it would be smarter to have the video be a little bit more about sex.
The Magic of Hollywood: Where Do Your Favorite Shows Really Take Place?
by Maggie Furlong, posted Jun 30th 2011 3:00PM
Hollywood is a magical place, but probably the most amazing thing about the entertainment industry is that any city can be faked.Haven't you ever watched a show like 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' and wondered where in Philly Paddy's Pub is? Well, don't go searching, because in real life, it's on the Fox lot in Los Angeles, California.
And just a few doors down from the 'Sunny' set is 'How I Met Your Mother,' where the gang gets in trouble on the streets of New York City ... that are actually on a sound stage in L.A.
But there are shows where there's no way the magic of the city can be faked ... right? 'Mad Men' is so completely New York in the 1960s (shoots in L.A., in the present day) and the rainy Seattle backdrop of 'The Killing' had to be 100% authentic (actually it was Vancouver's raindrops you saw all season).
We thought we'd take a look at a few of the other best tricked cities on TV ...

One Shocking Death May Lead to Another on the 'Castle' Season Finale (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted May 17th 2011 5:23AM
After Kate Beckett uncovered that her mentor, Captain Montgomery, was involved in the conspiracy that led to her mother's death, she found herself having to mourn him as well on the Season Finale of 'Castle' (Mon., 10PM ET on ABC). But even this would not deter her from trying to uncover the truth. That truth will have to wait until next season, but Beckett's going to have to get there first. In the closing moments, while she was giving the eulogy at Mongtomery's funeral, Castle realized a moment too late that someone had Beckett in their sights.
In the next moment, she was shot and Castle was begging her to stay with him. He then admited, "I love you." He even said it a couple of times, though we don't know if she was able to hear him. She was unconscious at the end.

• Speaking of NBC, the network's orders for new mid-season comedies 'Bent' and 'BFF' were for six episodes each. Though it'll be harder for the shows to earn loyal audiences from just six episodes, it's worked in the past for peacock comedies like 'The Office.' [Deadline]
Who Will Die on the 'Castle' Season Finale?
by Maggie Furlong, posted May 16th 2011 6:00AM
Tonight's 'Castle' season finale marks the end of a very fun and very emotional season for Castle, Beckett and the gang.
There's the continuing investigation of Beckett's mother's murder, there were all the laughs with the Nikki Heat movie, the freezer incident and, of course, there was the kiss.

But the Season 3 finale (Mon., May 16, 10PM ET on ABC) is killing off more than a dead body of the week -- tonight, someone who's been on the show since the beginning will die.
Now we know from previews that Castle warns Beckett that she's next to die if she doesn't let go of her mom's death, but let's be real: Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion might get a little banged up, but the show will never kill off its main characters.
So who will it be? Let's take a look at the most likely candidates ...

Comedy Central Renews 'Futurama,' Will Arnett is Not the New 'Office' Boss and More
by Jean Bentley, posted Mar 24th 2011 6:00PM
'Futurama''s second life will be even longer, thanks to the two-season renewal Comedy Central is about to give the series.According to The Hollywood Reporter, the animated show is close to being picked up for two more 13-episode seasons, with one to air next year and another in 2013. The show's season premiere in June saw 2.9 million viewers tuning in.
In February, star Katey Sagal told Vulture that the show had been picked up for another season, but there is no official word from the network yet.
In other TV news ...
• Will Arnett will not be the new boss on 'The Office.' As much as you want to see Gob Bluth replace Michael Scott, it ain't gonna happen since Arnett's apparently attached to Lorne Michaels' new Christina Applegate-starring comedy pilot. [Splitsider]
• Another 'Battlestar Galactica' vet has landed a new gig. Michael Trucco will guest star on 'How I Met Your Mother' as Robin's old crush, and will be featured heavily next season. [TV Guide]

'Castle' Set Visit: Castle & Beckett Get Soapy With 'One Life to Lose' (VIDEO)
by Maggie Furlong, posted Mar 16th 2011 4:30PM
Long before 'Castle' became a ratings hit, Nathan Fillion was on 'One Life to Live.' Now Castle and Beckett are investigating a gruesome murder on the set of fictional soap 'Temptation Lane' (Mon., March 21, 10PM ET on ABC), which was actually shot on the set of real-life soap 'All My Children' with cameos from two of its stars.Does that make any sense? All you need to know is it's got everything a great 'Castle' episode should, including guest spots from some pretty cool names and a few inside jokes.
Cleverly titled 'One Life to Lose,' the episode shows Beckett (Stana Katic) and crew getting called in to investigate an axe murder -- literally -- on the set of a popular soap opera.
'AMC' star Rebecca Budig plays (you guessed it) a soap star, but her TV husband Cameron Mathison is behind the camera here, playing director, and guest star Corbin Bernsen is playing Budig's TV love interest instead.
