'Top Chef: Texas' Contestants, Premiere Date Revealed

When Bravo's 'Top Chef: Texas' debuts on Wed., Nov. 2 at 10PM ET, there will be 29 contestants. Twenty-nine.However, by the end of the premiere, only 16 will get to put on the 'Top Chef' coat and compete as official cheftestants. The 16 official contestants will then compete across the state of Texas in Austin, Dallas and San Antonio.
"I'm so excited for everyone at home to get a glimpse of all the great and talented chefs," 'Top Chef' host Padma Lakshmi said in a statement. "This season is bigger and better than ever! Yum!"

Oprah Winfrey's OWN network launched less than two weeks ago, and it's already produced some appointment viewing for many avid TV watchers.I caught up with Lady O and her stars on the TCA red carpet -- including BFF Gayle King, Lisa Ling, Cat Cora, Dr. Laura Berman, Suze Orman, 'Your OWN Show' hosts Carson Kressley and Nancy O'Dell, and the show's producer Mark Burnett -- to hear all about their big launch and what's up next.

Fozzie Bear Cooks With Cat Cora on 'The Early Show' (VIDEO)

It's a busy time for Oprah Winfrey's new cable network as OWN announces several executive staffing changes and that Carson Kressley and Cat Cora are developing new shows with the network.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, John MacDonald, formerly of MTV Networks, has been appointed COO/Executive VP Programming and Digital. He will report to CEO Christina Norman, who said that he "will be instrumental as we prepare for OWN's launch and the future of the network."
Fashion maven Kressley ('True Beauty') and celebrity chef Cora ('Iron Chef America') will be starring in lifestyle transformation or makeover shows for the fledgling network, which will "be devoted to self-discovery, to connecting you to your best self and to the world."
