Regis Philbin Wants David Letterman to Retire With Him (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 18th 2011 3:15AM
The Regis Philbin Farewell Tour made its way to the Ed Sullivan Theater and 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS). He told David Letterman that he wasn't sad about leaving 'Live! with Regis and Kelly.'"It's a chapter coming to an end, and it should," Philbin said. "You know, there's a time in your life -- and you better start thinking about this, big boy -- when you realize you should walk away."
He then suggested that Letterman walk away with him. They could retire together and walk out together. But not before Philbin gets another kiss on the lips.
Sheldon Crashes Amy's Date With Stuart on 'The Big Bang Theory' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 18th 2011 1:00AM
While it's unlikely there's any real danger of a 'Moonlighting' situation with Sheldon and Amy on 'The Big Bang Theory' (Thu., 8PM ET on CBS), they nevertheless moved their relationship forward by the tiniest increment. It has been a year after all, so why not?Because they weren't really anything official, Amy was receptive to Stuart asking her out on a date. Sheldon found himself consumed with anxiety and jealousy and finally decided that he had to act fast. So he crashed their date.

Ferguson Tricks Alex Kingston Into Being Dirty on 'The Late Late Show' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 17th 2011 6:00AM
Alex Kingston may not have realized it, but she laid down a challenge for Craig Ferguson on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS). When he started asking her about rabbits and flowers in the lewd context, she insisted she couldn't answer him."My daughter's teachers are all watching this show tonight, so I can't tell you," she said. But that just told Ferguson he had to trick her into getting dirty, if she wasn't going to play along willingly. So he brought out the harmonica.
"Have a blow at that," he offered, to which she responded, "I blowed that last time." Mission accomplished.
Jerry Seinfeld Talks About Filling In for Regis Philbin (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 17th 2011 4:30AM
While there's yet to be any decision made on a permanent replacement for Regis Philbin after his retirement, Jerry Seinfield was chosen as the first fill-in co-host with Kelly Ripa. On 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS), he dubbed it 'Operation: Smooth Transition.'That said, though, Seinfeld isn't completely confident that he can fill the role. First of all, both he and Letterman acknowledge that Philbin is an institution, but there's something more specific that both Philbin does that Seinfeld says he can't.
"He sits there and ... he just kind of takes up people's time," he explained. "But you do it in a way that people say, 'I could take more of this.'"
Vigilante Justice And an Officer Down on 'CSI' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 17th 2011 3:00AM
The case took an ugly turn this week on 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation' (Wed., 10PM ET on CBS), when the officers found themselves having to take on one of their own. When a fellow cop started utilizing vigilante justice on guilty people who got away with murder, they were faced with an impossible situation. On the one hand, these people were guilty and probably nobody knows it and feels it more than the officers who worked those cases. So in that regard, he's giving justice to someone who deserves it. But it's also murder, and it's outside the system they're sworn to uphold. But he's one of their own, too, so what do you do?
Redemption Island Duel Determines First Two Jury Members on 'Survivor' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 17th 2011 2:30AM
After a rather lackluster week that saw Jim and Keith join Ozzy at Redemption Island, 'Survivor: South Pacific' (Wed., 8PM ET on CBS) saw some tribe members trying to shake things up. And it wasn't even Whitney and Dawn stirring things up, though they were certainly willing to do anything to stay alive.!!SPOILER ALERT!!
Ozzy did just as he promised eating very well and providing food for Jim and Keith before eliminating both of them at the Duel. He's definitely looking hungry to get back into the game, and he's proven that the Ozzy of 2011 is pretty impressive still.
Ewan McGregor Plays With the Camera, Swears Like Crazy on 'Late Late Show' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 16th 2011 4:15AM
Ewan McGregor was pretty excited to be in Craig Ferguson's "basement" studio on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS). He wanted to check out the different areas, including the camera that Ferguson always smacks and pushes around. But it was when Ferguson showed him a fun little self-censoring trick that McGregor really let loose and had some fun for the studio audience. It was fun for them, because they got to hear what he said.
'NCIS': Gibbs and Ziva Get into a War Zone Fire Fight to Bring Back a Marine (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 16th 2011 1:00AM
'NCIS' (Tue., 8PM ET on CBS) continued its powerful tribute to the US Marines with this second half of a two-parter that saw Gibbs and Ziva heading to Afghanistan to bring back a Marine left behind. The episode showed the strengh and unity of the Corps, regardless of gender. It was a beautiful thing to watch, and further proof why 'NCIS' stands in a league of its own compared to other procedurals on the air. With as much care and emphasis on its character than its cases, the writers and creative team know how to tell a story and make you care.
We wanted to see Lt. Gabriela Flores returned to her father alive and well just as much as Gibbs did. If we were to get a true military-based dramatic series, following our men and women in the armed forces across the globe where the danger is, we'd want it to feel like this episode.
Angela Kinsey's Daughter and Grandmother Don't Watch Her on 'The Office' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 16th 2011 12:15AM
Ironically, according to Angela Kinsey on 'The Talk' (Weekdays, Syndicated on CBS), it looks like her daughter and grandmother don't watch her on 'The Office' for largely the same reasons. According to Kinsey, her 94-year old grandmother told her, "Baby, we are so proud for you, but I don't care for it and I do not watch it."It's just a little too crude for the oldest and youngest members of her family. Her daughter, actually, is still struggling with the concept of even seeing her mother on television. She saw Kinsey's Clairol commercial and tried to talk to her.
When Kinsey came home, her daughter asked her, "Why didn't you talk to me today? You were on the box."

The network has picked up three of its five freshman series for full seasons -- 'Two Broke Girls,' 'Person of Interest' and 'Unforgettable.' Meanwhile, failed comedy 'How To Be a Gentleman' was cancelled.

Jason Segel's Face Gets 'Unfavorable Reaction' From 'Muppets' Test Audience (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 15th 2011 3:45AM
Jason Segel has managed to have quite a successful career in comedy, despite having a face that apparently just continues to test poorly with audiences. On 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS), he brought in a comment card from a 7-year old who was part of a screening for 'The Muppets.'In it, the kid seemed to love the film, but when asked what he didn't like about it, the answer was pretty straightforward. "Gary's face," the kid wrote.
Gary is the name of Segel's character in the film.

If Alan thought losing his mind and thinking he was his brother Charlie was about as bad as it could get, he was in for quite a shock when he got out of the This was done by showing Alan his worst possible life, only to thankfully awaken back in the stress clinic with roommate Gary Busey. Could you cast a better loony bin roomie than Busey?
