by Catherine Lawson, posted Nov 11th 2011 6:00AM
Joy to Beliebers and their grandparents: The original pop star, Tony Bennett, will be showing Justin Bieber how it's done when they both perform at NBC's annual live Christmas tree-lighting ceremony, 'Christmas in Rockefeller Center' later this month. The roster of big name performers announced by the network spans not only generations, but also genres, with singers Michael Bublé, Cee Lo Green, Faith Hill, Carole King, Katharine McPhee and 'The Voice' winner Javier Colon performing a mix of current hits and holiday classics.
NBC announced that the hour-long special on November 30 will be hosted by the 'Today Show's Al Roker and Savannah Guthrie and will -- natch -- also feature seasonal high-kickers, The Radio City Rockettes. Prior to the primetime telecast, WNBC and other NBC affiliates (check your local listings) will also air an additional live hour of the special.
Cee Lo Green Makes 'Parenthood' Cameo (VIDEO)
by Alex Moaba, posted Oct 19th 2011 3:00PM
It was an NBC crossover last night on 'Parenthood,' (Tues., 10PM ET on NBC) as 'The Voice' judge Cee-Lo Green stopped by Adam and Crosby's makeshift music studio to record a song for a 60s tribute album. The guys had had recruited Cee Lo with the history of the place, touting the fact that Janis herself, along with Jerry Garcia, had recorded there, and scrambled to get the downstairs studio finished in time for the session. But once they got started, Cee Lo didn't like how it was sounding and left, leaving Crosby and Adam to think he was irritated with Adam's goofy dance moves or the studio's sound quality. But just when they were down in the dumps, Cee Lo came back to give it another shot, pledging to try to sound less like Janis and do the song in his own style. It worked, and Adam and Crosby finished the first job in the new chapter of their "lemonade stand."
Cee Lo Green Guests as a Hot Tub of Horrors on 'American Dad' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 26th 2011 5:15AM
Cee Lo Green was a revelation on the Season 7 premiere of 'American Dad' (Sun., 9:30PM ET on FOX), and that's not easy to do as a guest voice actor on an animated series. Still, we couldn't help but notice the way his unique style and sense of humor permeated every aspect of this musical experience. An obvious nod to 'Little Shop of Horrors,' the plant was replaced by a sentient hot tub voiced by Green. He lured Stan in and slowly began to take over his life. Eventually, Stan left his family behind along with his job, devoting himself entirely to the hot tub.
Emmys Reveal Lots of New, But Familiar, Faces at 'The Office' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 19th 2011 1:21AM
By now, everyone knows that Steve Carell has left the building, and James Spader has joined the cast of 'The Office,' but as we saw on 'The 2011 Emmy Awards' (Sun., 8PM ET on FOX), Spader isn't the only new person getting face time at Dunder-Mifflin.In a very fun video, we got to see a who's who of television in that familiar office chair where the castmembers from the show do their confessionals.
They were all talking about what they hated about their jobs, like Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) hating rapists, sex trafficking and crimes against children -- this is a much darker take for 'The Office.'

by Chris Harnick, posted Aug 30th 2011 2:30PM
Dr. House is going to have one very familiar-looking prison mate: None other than 'Family Matters' star Jaleel White. Yes, Steve Urkel. We can only hope White utters "Did I do that?" at least once.
According to TVLine, White will guest star in the Mon., Oct. 3 'House' season premiere (9PM ET on Fox). Picking up one year later, House is in prison after driving his car into Cuddy's house.
Besides 'House,' the 'Family Matters' veteran has stayed busy popping up on a variety of shows including 'Are We There Yet?' and 'Psych.'
Cee Lo Green Says He Was Raised To Be Sexy on 'Talking To Strangers' (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Jul 29th 2011 5:15PM
It's an age old argument that has bedeviled sociologists for years -- is sexiness learned through nature or nurture? Cee Lo Green, the self-described "Ladykiller," put in his two cents Wednesday on 'Talking to Strangers' (Wednesday, 11PM on FUSE). Green told Kelly Rowland about how he was raised to be sexy."My mama, she was a trip, she wanted me to be sexy," he said, drawing out the word for emphasis. "My mama got me some bikini drawers." Green said his mother bought him several pairs of bikini underwear at a women's "pleasure party." "She brought me back a g-string with the little elephant tusk in it, the see-through elephant tusk with the little shaky eyes."
Cee Lo Green Previews His 'Monumentous' Vegas Show, Performs on 'Today' (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Jul 22nd 2011 2:05PM
Cee Lo Green is gearing up for a run in Las Vegas, which earned him the nickname 'Lo-berace' from Matt Lauer Friday on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM on NBC). Green, a hit-making singer and judge on the singing contest show 'The Voice,' is hoping the run will be a big deal for fans who might not be too familiar with the city's big shows."I wanted to do something new and fresh for this generation," Green told Lauer. "I don't think anybody from our generation has got the opportunity to do something monumentous like that. And so I would like to do something exceptional, you know. The way that I feel about myself and the way that my career is going, it makes sense."
Cee Lo Green Talks to Train About Song Inspiration and 'Trained Groupies' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 7th 2011 5:50AM
Cee Lo Green ran the gamut in his interview with the band Train on 'Cee Lo Green: Talking to Strangers' (Wed., 11PM ET on Fuse). He talked with Patrick Monahan about the influences behind the song 'Drops of Jupiter,' which was inspired by the death of his mother.Monahan got a little existential on Green, though, saying it was much more than him dwelling on that experience. After the lyric "I'm back in the atmosphere" came to him in his sleep, Monahan felt it was his mother wanting him to tell this story.
"I feel like I'm just a vehicle for the universe," he explained. "So I really respected what was happening that night."

Javier Colon Says He Had No Confidence He Would Win 'The Voice' (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Jul 1st 2011 6:00PM
Wednesday night, Javier Colon beat out favorite Dia Frampton to win the first season of 'The Voice.' Friday on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM on NBC), Colon said he never thought it would happen. His doubts were understandable: the show had chronicled Colon's many missed chances in the music industry, and he talked with Matt Lauer about almost giving up music."It was getting to the point where I wasn't able to make a living, enough to raise my two beautiful girls and to support my wife," he said. "And I wasn't going to let that happen. So If I had to do something else, I was going to do something else."
'The Voice' Coaches Will All Return for Season 2, NBC Confirms
by Chris Harnick, posted Jun 30th 2011 5:00PM
NBC has announced that all four coaches will return for Season 2 of 'The Voice.'Yep, you can expect more tight shirts on Adam Levine, more denim on Blake Shelton, more sunglasses for Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera will be back -- no word on whether her leather diaper-esque shorts will return as well.
"Our fantastic coaches were integral to the tremendous success of 'The Voice' this year and we are thrilled that they are all returning," Paul Telegdy, executive vice president of alternative programming at NBC and Universal Media Studios, said in a statement. "We look forward to building season two and making 'The Voice' an even greater experience for fans."
'The Voice' Finale: Coach and Winner Interviews and What You Didn't See on TV
by Laura Prudom, posted Jun 30th 2011 12:01PM
The winner has been crowned and the confetti has been swept away, but for fans of 'The Voice' who weren't fortunate enough to be in the crowd for the finale last night, allow AOL TV to lift the curtain for you.
Not only did we have a plum spot from which to admire the back of Adam Levine's head during the taping (and to admire all of the artists' off-screen antics), we later hit the red carpet to talk to the coaches and the winner as they reflected on a triumphant first season.

'The Voice' Finale: Who is the Singing Competition's First Winner? (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Jun 30th 2011 12:13AM
'American Idol' revolutionized the singing competition in America ten years ago, and its first winner, Kelly Clarkson, went on to worldwide success and fame. This summer, 'The Voice' (Wed., 8PM ET on NBC) has arguably reinvented the concept by putting the focus on ... the voice. Will its winner go on to comparable success?
With top caliber coaches in Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine, Blake Shelton and Christina Aguilera, the show was more about nurturing tomorrow's superstars than sitting distant and aloof in judgment of them. And after all was said and done it came down to 2 percent.
Cee Lo Green Joins Vicci Martinez on the 'Battlefield' on 'The Voice' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Jun 29th 2011 3:14AM
There was a lot of singing in the performance finale of 'The Voice' (Tue., 9PM ET on NBC), and not just from our four remaining finalists. They not only sang their solo songs, but each of them took to the stage with their coach for a duet.Javier Colon and Adam Levine performed Michael Jackson's 'Man in the Mirror,' and while it was vocally solid they didn't really bring anything new to it.
We were surprised to be a little let down by Dia Frampton and Blake Shelton's take on Tom Petty's 'I Won't Back Down,' while we enjoyed Beverly McClellan joining Christina Aguilera for a unique spin on Aguilera's own 'Beautiful.'
