Debi Mazar Talks 'Dancing With the Stars' and the Final Season of 'Entourage'
It seems like Debi Mazar has been around forever, jump-starting her career in the mid-'80s as Madonna's sidekick in such music videos as 'Papa Don't Preach' and 'True Blue.' By the early '90s, she'd found her niche with roles in movies like 'Goodfellas' and 'Jungle Fever' playing the girl with the striking pin-up-style looks and thick Queens accent. But Mazar is probably best known as Vincent Chase's sharp-tongued publicist Shauna on 'Entourage' -- and for her short-lived stint on Season 9 of 'Dancing With the Stars.' And her delightful cooking show, 'Extra Virgin,' was just picked up for a second season on the Cooking Channel.
Here, she dishes on the ups and downs of the three weeks she spent 'Dancing,' how her love of family and Tuscan food blossomed into a new career path and what we can expect from the series finale of 'Entourage.'
Steve-O Dishes on 'Dancing With the Stars' Predictions and 'Jackass 4'
Steve-O is best known as the habitually naked stuntman from the 'Jackass' franchise who's willing to do almost anything for attention. But since sobering up more than three years ago, he's started to branch out by appearing on season 8 of 'Dancing With the Stars,' becoming a poster boy for PETA, embarking on a one-man comedy tour and penning an upcoming memoir about the ups and downs of his life.Last year, 'Jackass 3-D' raked in more than $100 million at the box office, proving that being a "professional idiot" (as Steve-O calls it) still pays off.
Here, he opens up to us about why he did 'Dancing With the Stars' and who he thinks will win this season. He also talks about performing stunts sober for the first time and whether there might be a 'Jackass 4.'
Barbara Walters To End Oscar Specials This Year
OK, all at once: "Nooooooooooooooooooo!" Barbara Walters says that this year will be the final year that she has an Oscars special. Walters says that while she loves doing the specials and ABC is happy with the ratings the specials get, she feels that they are a little "been there, done that." The last one will air on March 7.It must be hard to keep a show like that going anyway. I mean, there are approximately 37 entertainment news shows on every single night now (plus 24 hours of celebrity coverage on E! and on the web) and as the years went by her interviews with celebrities weren't as important or newsworthy. Now everyone asks a celeb "what type of tree would you be?"
Fear not, Barbara Walters fans. She's going to continue as one of the panelists on 'The View' and she will continue her annual 'Barbara Walters Chooses The Most Painfully Obvious People For Her 10 Most Fascinating People List (Plus A Couple of Head-Scratchers)" specials.
5 Questions With: Helio Castroneves
It's been a rough year for Indy 500 racing champ and season 5 'Dancing With the Stars' winner Helio Castroneves. An ongoing tax evasion battle with the IRS could've sent the Brazilian race car driver to jail -- and ended his driving career. But just weeks before the May 24 Indy 500 race in which he nabbed his third victory, a jury acquitted Castroneves of most of the charges (the final charge was dismissed just two days before the race), clearing the way for him to enjoy his third win (making him the first foreign-born three-time Indy 500 champ) and his multimillion dollar paycheck.
Castroneves took a break from his Indy celebrations to talk to AOL TV about his big wins (on the race track and the 'DWtS' stage), shakin' his groove thang on ABC again, his plans for that Indy 500 check -- no worries, IRS.

5 Questions With: Henry Cavill
"This season ... I'm going to put on 50 pounds and grow a full beard."British actor Henry Cavill got his big Hollywood break in an unlikely place: Ireland. That's where the Showtime series 'The Tudors' is filmed, in which he plays King Henry VIII's close friend and confidante Charles Brandon. As the king tears through wives, mistresses and men who cross him, Charles is one of the few constants in his life.
As 'The Tudors' heads into its third season (premiering April 5), AOL TV chatted with Cavill about life in the king's court, co-star Jonathan Rhys Meyers' recent stint in rehab ... and why there's no "bromance" brewing for Henry VIII. -- By Katy Kroll
5 Questions With: Jesse McCartney
"It definitely was a new experience for me, getting used to the Greek life and ... being in a fraternity."Jesse McCartney's been around longer than you probably think. He got his start in 2001 with the boy band Dream Street, then landed a role in the short-lived (but well-loved) teen drama 'Summerland.' In 2004, he found multi-platinum success with his debut solo album, 'Beautiful Soul.'
Last year, the 21-year-old McCartney unveiled a more mature look and sound with his third album, 'Departure,' which spawned the hit single 'Leavin'.' Since then, he's been linked to a bevy of high-profile starlets, like Aubrey O'Day and Danielle Panabaker, and was on the short list for the leading role in M. Night Shyamalan's live-action adaptation of 'The Last Airbender.' Next, he'll guest-star on the third season of the ABC Family series 'Greek,' premiering March 30.
The singer-slash-actor took time out of his busy schedule to talk to AOL TV about all things 'Greek,' what he's given up to keep his music career on track and setting the record straight (sort of) about those Hayden Panettiere rumors. -- By Katy Kroll
5 Questions With: Sherri Shepherd
"The great thing about doing what I do is that you have to have a tough skin and laugh things off."
Co-hosting 'The View' does more for Sherri Shepherd than let her speak her mind and cozy up to Barbara Walters.
Last month, the self-proclaimed soap opera junkie got to head to Disney World in Orlando for ABC's 13th annual Super Soap Weekend, where the network's biggest soap stars mingled with fans. There, Shepherd had the dream job of interviewing daytime legends Susan Lucci ('All My Children') and Erika Slezak ('One Life to Live').
Shepherd, who voiced a mother lioness in the animated film 'Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa,' took a few minutes out of her hectic schedule to chat with AOL TV about 'The View,' Barack Obama and other "hot topics."
Ask Heroes stars Milo Ventimiglia and Masi Oka a question
On Heroes, Peter Petrelli (Milo Ventimiglia) and Hiro (Masi Oka) have been both allies and enemies as they fight to save the world ... even though sometimes, they have a hard enough time saving themselves. Or making intelligent decisions. BUT, that's a post for another day.For AOL TV's new video series Outside the Box, Milo and Masi will be interviewing each other on October 29 using fan questions. Got something you're dying to ask -- about future Peter, current Peter, time travel, the bromance that is Hiro and Ando, or anything other burning issues? (Heck, you can even ask about Gilmore Girls if you want to.)
Submit your own question in the comments section below, and Masi and Peter might use it on the air when we launch the interview on November 17. Be sure to include your first name and where you live.
CNN reschedules Larry King Week
CNN's scheduled 50th Anniversary salute to Larry King was called off because of special coverage of the Virginia Tech shootings, but they've now set a new date and new guests for the celebration. It all starts this Monday.
- Monday, April 30: George Tenet
- Tuesday, May 1: Oprah Winfrey
- Wednesday, May 2: Katie Couric interviews King
- Thursday, May 3: 50 Years of Pop Culture, with Anderson Cooper and Ryan Seacrest
- Friday, May 4: An All-Star Salute, with Bill Maher, Bill Cosby, Alec Baldwin, Kathy Griffin, and many others.
Not sure why Tenent is part of the 50th Anniversary. Former President Bill Clinton was originally part of the event, but his appearance ran as scheduled a couple of weeks ago. I wonder if Baldwin will show up (unless it's taped).
Here's the lineup for CNN's salute to Larry King
As we've mentioned before, Larry King is celebrating 50 years in the news business, and all next week CNN is going to mark the occasion with a week of special Larry King Live shows. Here's the lineup:
- Monday, April 16: Oprah Winfrey
- Tuesday, April 17: Katie Couric
- Wednesday, April 18: 50 Years of Pop Culture - a look at everything that Larry has covered over the five decades, with hosts Anderson Cooper and Ryan Seacrest
- Thursday, April 19: Former President Bill Clinton
- Friday, April 20: A special hour hosted by Bill Maher
Inside the Actor's Studio announces new season
What can you say about Inside the Actor's Studio that hasn't already been said by a hundred parodies and humorists' impersonations? It will always be galling to hear hack actors talk about their "craft" and to hear James Lipton wax poetic about the farcial tour de force that is Half-Baked.
The show, however, is inspired precisely because it doesn't make the distinction between "movie stars" and "actors" in the way that most viewers do. It's like Charlie Rose meets Entertainment Weekly - celebrity journalism that aims for something higher.
Inside the Actor's Studio returns to Bravo for a new season on December 18th. In this outing of the 12-time Emmy-nominated series, James Lipton sits down with Eddie Murphy, Matt Damon, Forest Whitaker and Kyra Sedgwick. You can almost hear Lipton's careful intonation, "And, then, you turned your attention to outer space - from fat suit to space suit - with The Adventures of Pluto Nash."
What has happened to the word "exclusive?"
It's unfortunate what has happened to some
word these days. "Genius," and "cool" have all gotten twisted in the past couple of decades. Now add
to that list the word "exclusive."You ever notice the tabloid shows (ET, Access Hollywood, The Insider, Extra) will all say they have an "exclusive" interview with a celeb, but then you turn on another show and they'll have an interview with the same celeb, often in the very same chairs that the other interview had? What's up with that? Larry King does it a lot too. These shows honestly think that just because they interview a celeb on their show at a certain time in a certain way, that this qualifies as an "exclusive." Didn't exclusive once mean that no one else had the interview?

Al-Qaeda conspirator Zacarias Moussaoui
has been deemed eligible for the death penalty. Jon
couldn't help but wonder if the jury really even needed to step aside to deliberate, especially after Moussaoui took
the stand and admitted to planning to crash into the Towers (bad move, defense). "Eh, we don't need to talk about
it. Let's just kill the guy."Will Nancy Grace replace Larry King?
I'm not the world's biggest fan of Larry King - I think he's
become increasingly unprepared for his guests and the show's obsession with murder cases borders on nauseating - but I'd
rather see him in that chair until he's 100 years old than have Nancy Grace take over the slot. That's the buzz in the industry right now, that Grace, who has an incredibly popular show on CNN's Headline News right now (you should all be ashamed of yourselves) will someday replace King, who is reported to be on his way out because he's too frail to work that much anymore. CNN head Jon Klein denies all of this, of course, but CNN has made a lot of changes in the past couple of years, some shocking and irritating to viewers. And King can't stay there forever.
So who would you like to see in that slot if King retires?
