Dr. Webber Gets the Lingo Wrong on 'Grey's Anatomy' (VIDEO)
Poor Dr. Webber. He's had enough problems with his alcohol issues, and now he just wants to fit in on 'Grey's Anatomy' (Thu., 9PM ET on ABC). But he's failing miserably – at least in the lingo department."If I wasn't happily married, I'd hit her," he says to Alex in the operating room, referring to a female co-worker. "I'd hit her hard."
After Alex sets him straight on the proper term -- "Sir, I think what you wanted to say was 'hit that'" – Bailey sets them both straight. And you don't want to mess with Bailey.

'Grey's Anatomy' - 'Push' Recap
(S06E17) Chandra Wilson gets the opportunity to direct her own date this week on 'Grey's Anatomy.' Previously, she directed the episode 'Give Peace A Chance.' Sadly, the episode was not really substantial in any form or fashion. It followed the mold of the patients shaping the doctors (Teddy shouldn't be a bitch, Richard needs to calm down and see the big picture, and Arizona still doesn't want kids). While everyone was working in a buddy system this week, in all truth, the only two pairs that worked were Meredith with Derek and Meredith with Christina. Maybe this show should return to the fact that it's 'Grey's Anatomy,' not 'Torres' Anatomy.' Meredith successfully called out Owen for being wishy-washy, and the five seconds of her with Derek was the best relationship in the whole episode.
Bailey Gets Some Romance on 'Grey's Anatomy' (VIDEO)
Well, Bailey! So now we know you've never had sex with anyone other than your ex-husband. That's admirable, but you've got this (really) hunky guy on the hook, so we're hoping that changes sometime in the near future. We know you're still working all that out, though. No rush. And it's nice to see you getting some action in the romance department, because the writers have mostly focused on the younger interns on 'Grey's Anatomy' (Thu., 9PM ET on ABC). You, go, Bailey.

Chandra Wilson Gives Wendy Williams Red Carpet Tips (VIDEO)
Think walking down the red carpet at a Hollywood gala would be a blast? Maybe, but it's also hard work.Chandra Wilson talked with Wendy Williams about how to pose on the red carpet on 'The Wendy Williams Show' (weekdays, syndicated). Wilson gave Williams pointers on which foot to lead with as you walk, how to turn so that the dress you're wearing looks best, and how to handle arm flab when you wave to your fans. Kinda makes you wonder what guys have to deal with.

Young Miranda Bailey Dishes it Out on 'Grey's Anatomy' (VIDEO)
It's so funny to see Bailey as a young intern with a deer-in-the-headlights look on her face on 'Grey's Anatomy' (Thu., 9PM ET on ABC). But she could dish it out, even back then."The patient doesn't get prodded, probed, scoped or cut open like a Thanksgiving turkey, you supercilious fool!" she yells at the resident.
And then the history between Bailey and the Chief really shows itself when he plays a little game of making it look like he's scolding her, when in fact, he says, "You're gonna make a hell of a surgeon, Dr. Bailey."
It adds another layer of poignancy to that scene a couple of weeks ago where she gave the Chief a pep talk about cleaning up his act.

Bailey Gives the Chief a Pep Talk on 'Grey's Anatomy' (VIDEO)
If we're ever in a jam, we want Miranda Baily on our side, giving us pep talks and answering those 3AM phone calls. On 'Grey's Anatomy' (Thurs., 9PM ET on ABC), the Chief knows he's an alcoholic, but feels like drinking "is all I have left." No, Chief. You listen to Bailey. She's got it right.
"You are better than this," she says. "I've seen you be better. Look, the way to win, the way to beat them is to stop fighting them. You go get better. You be the man that I've always known you to be. You be the Chief."
We couldn't have said it better ourselves.

'Grey's Anatomy' and 'Private Practice' to Crossover (Again)
'Grey's Anatomy' and its spin-off, 'Private Practice,' are at it again with their crossover episodes. The Ausiello Files is reporting that Walsh will come back to 'Grey's' in early January for a top-secret plot centered around Addison, Mark and Leven Rambin, who recently joined the cast from 'Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles.'
Apparently, Addison returns to Seattle at Mark's request to perform surgery on Leven's character. But, as executive producer Shondra Rhimes spoils, the plot will extend back over into 'Private,' when a complication has Mark transfer the patient back down to L.A. again (so much for the plot being "top secret").
'Grey's Anatomy,' 'Dancing' & More Stars at GLSEN Red Carpet
HBO, 'Grey's Anatomy' and 'Private Practice' creator Shonda Rhimes and philanthropist David Bohnett were honored Oct. 9 night by GLSEN at the Beverly Hills Hotel. The organization (which is pronounced "glisten") stands for Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network and seeks to create safe school environments for all students by making them aware of how harmful comments like "that's so gay" are.Television's primary goal is to entertain, but it can also educate, according to Michael Lombardo, president of HBO programming. "We've certainly seen TV shows that have gay characters, but they're usually playing comedic foils or certainly asexual," Lombardo said.

Breaking TCA News: Chandra Wilson Checks Into 'Private Practice'
I wasn't expecting to get much serious breaking news from today's set visit to ABC's 'Private Practice' -- boss Shonda Rhimes tends to keep show secrets just that.Maybe something was in the air. Maybe the sight of a bus full of (already exhausted) TCA members trekking across town to come play warmed her heart. Whatever it was, Rhimes decided to dish a little 'Private Practice' season 3 scoop: Chandra Wilson (a.k.a. 'Grey's Anatomy''s own Miranda Bailey) will be visiting Oceanside Wellness in the season's third episode.

Grey's Anatomy: Now or Never (season finale)

(S05E24) "If you're not scared, you're not paying attention." - Bailey
I took a few hours off in between last night's two hour Grey's Anatomy finale. I knew it was going to be two posts since it was two episodes and so I sat and watched the first one, wrote it up, grabbed a few hours of sleep, and woke up trying to figure just what was going to happen in this episode before I watched it. Everything was so nicely set up (the first hour really could have served as a finale too) and once again, Grey's Anatomy caught us all off guard with what's arguably its biggest cliffhanger yet.
Grey's Anatomy: Here's to the Future

(S05E23) "I'm your tumor. You're talking to yourself." - Denny
Just when I was finally starting to get sucked back into Grey's Anatomy, when I had finally come to terms with the ridiculous Denny/Izzie sex, when I had finally said, "hey, I actually like where they went with this," he had to come back one more time to ruin it all. After last week, I thought we had seen the last of Denny Duquette. Izzie told him to go and he went. But it's like Denny said - he's Izzie's tumor and as long as she still has the brain lump, Denny's gonna keep getting a tan down at Izzie's imaginary beach. I think I speak collectively for the entire population of Earth when I say thank god Izzie chose to get the surgery.
Grey's Anatomy actor updates
There a few news bites from several of the Grey's Anatomy actors pre-scoured for your convenience. It's kind of odd reading about these people outside of their characters, but it's true: they are real people. We got some news from Patrick Dempsey, Chandra Wilson, T.R. Knight, and more:Chandra Wilson to join cast of Chicago - This one's a little old, but noteworthy. Chandra Wilson, better known as Miranda Bailey, will be playing Matron Mama Morton in the musical Chicago starting June 8th and ending July 5, 2009. It's great seeing Wilson play another really strong character; I've never heard her singing chops, but she has a background in musicals, so I'm not doubting it.

TV Squad Ten: Girl Crushes
There's a reason why when you watch The Mentalist, there are always subtle close ups of Simon Baker's eyes or of his mouth when he's talking. The producers know he's hot and they know women are watching. Between him, the cast of Friday Night Lights, and a whole other list of DILF's, there's a lot of male eye-candy on TV right now. But what about the women? Of course television is filled with hot chicks, but who do other women like to watch? There are certain female characters who, when you watch them, you just want to hang out with. Either you think she'd be a good friend, or exciting to have around, or maybe you just kind of want to be her. This, my friends, is a Girl Crush. Here is my list of Top Ten TV Girl Crushes.
