After the cast of 'Glee' tweeted a lot of lovable photos with our favorite Wookie, Chewbacca a few weeks ago, Gleeks were left wondering what Chewbacca was up to on set. So when AOL TV got Harry Shum Jr. on the phone last week, we had to ask for some scoop about his furry encounter with the 'Star Wars' star.

"It was incredibly awesome," Shum said. "It was a huge surprise."

Why was Chewie there? Warning, minor spoilers below.

When you think about who might be more difficult to direct between Jane Lynch and Chewbacca -- well, who has to think about such ridiculous things? As Matthew Morrison revealed on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (Weeknights, 12AM ET on ABC), he did.

Morrison recently wrapped directing an episode of 'Glee' in which the cast put on a Christmas special that was an homage in part to the 'Stars Wars' Christmas special that most fans of the film series laugh at and at the same time wish had never happened.

But George Lucas granted them the official Chewbacca for the suit. But it wasn't Chewbacca who stopped Morrison before a critique and said, "Before you say anything, I just want to remind you that I have an Emmy Award and I was just nominated for a People's Choice Award."

Han Solo and Chewbacca are one of the all-time great movie double acts, but we haven't really seen them together much lately. Has there been a rift in the Millennium Falcon cockpit?

Last night Harrison Ford appeared on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' to promote his new movie 'Cowboys & Aliens,' and Chewbacca stopped by his dressing room.

However, far from being the love-fest we might have expected, the reunion quickly turned ugly.

It seems as though Chewbacca did the nasty with Ford's wife and he's not the type to forgive and forget: "I'm done with that 'Star Wars' crap and I'm done with you!"

As he tossed Chewie out of his dressing room Ford drove the knife in a little further and twisted it: "Daniel Craig's my Wookiee b***h now!" Ouch.

Of all the years I've been to the Fan Expo convention in Toronto, 2010 was the first time I laid down $95 for the VIP treatment. The privilege included a variant Thor totebag, a special edition of Spider-Man #638 with guest of honor Stan Lee on the cover, a collection of Green Lantern and Flash power rings and two lithographs - -one, Batman by artist Gary Frank and the other, a reprint of the cover for Spider-Man #1 by Steve Ditko, but the most important thing the VIP pass gave me was time. Today, I was able to enter the premises at 2PM instead of the usual 4PM. So long, suckers!

It was a good thing too, because for the first time even showing up early wasn't enough. The Fan Expo will certainly set an attendance record this year, because the line began outside and almost snaked its way to the CN Tower, which is three full city blocks away.

Just last year, Fan Expo was relegated to the rear of the convention complex, but this year us geeks have taken over all three floors of the main building, and then some. What would be my first order of business in this virtual frenzy of fandom? There wasn't anything explicitly film or TV buff-worthy going on when the panel discussions began at 5PM, so on a day when Stan Lee was making the autograph hounds drool upstairs, I wanted to pay tribute to his lesser-known partners downstairs.

You've been waiting for this your whole life, and it has finally happened: someone has mashed together the opening narration and music from The A-Team with scenes from the Star Wars movies. I love stuff like this. I want someone to put the theme to The Simpsons on to scenes from The Wire.

A long time ago (well, 31 years ago) in a galaxy far, far away (Television City isn't technically a different galaxy, unless you consider TV producers to be people who don't spend much time on planet Earth), an evil was unleashed upon the human race.

Today marks the 31st anniversary of the infamous Star Wars Holiday Special, a Christmas not-so-spectacular roasted by critics including some here at TV Squad years after it hit the air and even some of the franchise's most ardent fans.

That also includes George Lucas who once remarked at an Australian convention that he wished he could buy up all of the world's remaining copies of the show and smash them into oblivion with a sledgehammer. I wonder if 31 years from now, he'll be saying the same thing about Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace?

Where would we be without the hallowed television Christmas special? We would be engaged in enthralling conversations with relatives who like to give the backstory about the gall bladder operation pictures they still carry in their wallet. We would be playing defense against every breakable item in the house while the neighbor's kids get enough sugar in their systems to power the Space Shuttle. We would not only have to muster the courage to taste Grandma's homemade rum and Kahula fruitcake, but also to pretend that we like it without our stomach turning inside out, crawling up our esophagus and out of our mouth.

Even if those scenarios will be true for you on Dec. 25, I offer you my pity as my Christmas gift. Plus, you still would rather spend it listening to ol' Uncle Hernia Scar than watching one of these holiday hams.

It's Star Trek: TOS Week here at Retro Squad and I came across this gallery of photos from a photographer named Steve Schofield. His site says that he is "concerned with exploring the fascination that the British public has with American popular culture and the sub-cultural world of fandom."

The photos on his site show science fiction (and other pop culture genres) fans in natural settings, mostly sitting or standing around the house. The contrast is rather interesting. The guy on the right looks like he just beamed down to a present-day home in one of Star Trek's many time travel episodes.

When I first came across this video on my web travels, I thought it was part of that infamous Star Wars Holiday Special that aired in the 70s and hasn't been seen on television since (I think George Lucas is trying to forget it even exists). However, this is actually from Donny & Marie, and it's just as surreal, if not more. Long before she was dancing with other stars, Marie played Princess Leia to Donny's Luke Skywalker. Kris Kristofferson plays Han Solo (and looks like he'd rather be someplace else), the voice of Darth Vader is Thurl Ravenscroft (Tony the Tiger!), and General Harkin is played by...Paul Lynde!

The most incredible part though is Redd Foxx, who hovers above and gives little bits of wisdom. The 70s were a very screwed up time. I also don't think that Donny & Marie would get very far if they tried out for American Idol. I used to watch this show though.
