'Party Down' Reunion: Watch the Awesome 'Childrens Hospital' Clip (VIDEO)
by Chris Harnick, posted Aug 26th 2011 11:36AM
Thank you, TV gods. Well, really, thank you Rob Corddry and 'Children's Hospital' for giving us this very brief, but still awesome, 'Party Down' reunion. In the brief clip -- thanks to our buds at Vulture for bringing it to our attention -- the gang is back together to cater a bar mitzvah at the hospital.
Ken Marino and Megan Mullally both play characters on 'Children's Hospital,' but reprise their 'Party Down' roles of Ron and Lydia.
Missing from the clip? Adam Scott's Henry. We can only hope that means he got the part he auditioned for at the end of Season 2 and is currently a successful actor.
Watch the clip below. RIP 'Party Down.'
'Children's Hospital' Renewed, 'Buffy' Stars to Reunite on 'Supernatural' & More TV News
by Jean Bentley, posted Aug 17th 2011 6:15PM
Rob Corddry's sick and hilariously twisted 'Childrens Hospital' has been renewed for a fourth season on Adult Swim. The Web series-turned-TV hit will shoot 14 new episodes later this year that will air on Adult Swim in 2012."I'm very pleased and honored by this announcement," Corddry said in a statement. "I'm also very surprised, given that I write this show when I'm very, very drunk. Season four promises to be a cry for help."
'Children's Hospital' debuted as a Web series in 2008, and unlike other online-to-network jumps, has proven extremely successful. It has been the No. 1 show in its time period among adults 18-34, 18-49 and 18-24 for the past 10 weeks.

Megan Mullally On Her 'Super Gross' 'Childrens Hospital' Character (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Jul 25th 2011 6:30PM
Megan Mullally has played a lot of perky, attractive TV characters in her career. That's not quite the case on the Adult Swim show 'Childrens Hospital,' a medical drama parody. Mullally called her character, Chief, "super gross" on 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS), and said that playing that kind of role is "freeing."Mullally described 'Childrens Hospital' as "an absurdist satire" of one-hour medical shows, "where all the beautiful doctors are like, having sex in the supply closet." Chief is one of those doctors. "She's super gross," said Mullally. "And she's supposed to be. She's super gross but everybody wants her, is the joke." That includes, she said, "men, women, everybody."
The freeing part? "It takes me like ten minutes to get ready," she said. "I wear no makeup, I have a traveling mole, I walk on a walker, I have a hunchback, and I wear a man's wig that I bought on Hollywood Boulevard." She sounds pretty sweet to us.
Rob Corddry Talks 'Childrens Hospital,' 'Little In Common' & a 'Party Down' Reunion
by Maggie Furlong, posted Jun 16th 2011 10:00PM
Are you still not watching 'Childrens Hospital'? Seriously, how many times do we need to have this conversation? The show's third season is now in full swing on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim (Thursdays at midnight), and it continues to be 15 minutes of funny each week that I truly look forward to.From the brilliantly warped mind of funnyman Rob Corddry, the former Web series-turned-live-action Adult Swim darling consistently brings the laughs, the beyond random plot lines and a cast that would look right at home in a big budget Hollywood blockbuster.
Yes, it's a sad reality that one day, the all-star 'Childrens' team -- including Megan Mullally, Ken Marino, Rob Huebel, Lake Bell, Erinn Hayes, Malin Akerman and Henry Winkler -- could move on to other things. But could there be a day when Dr. Blake Downs hangs up his (fake) blood-stained scrubs, too?
I caught up with Corddry, who will soon be swapping his TV hospital duties and clown makeup -- watch the show! -- for a more normal role ("I play the white guy, basically.") in a new Fox comedy from Rob Thomas called 'Little in Common.' And speaking of Thomas, Corddry also teased what sounds like an epic 'Party Down' reunion on 'Childrens Hospital.'

What to Watch: TV Picks for June 6-12
by Maureen Ryan, posted Jun 5th 2011 2:00PM
MONDAY, JUNE 6'Bobby Fischer Against the World' (9PM ET, HBO)
HBO kicks off its summer documentary series with a film that chronicles the brilliant rise of chess prodigy Bobby Fischer, who became a grandmaster as a teenager, battled Russia's Boris Spassky in a legendary 1972 match and, in his controversial later years, became paranoid and withdrawn. This documentary draws on interviews with chess legend Gary Kasparov, author Malcolm Gladwell, talk-show host Dick Cavett, Paul Marshall (Fischer's personal attorney), Harry Sneider (his trainer) and photographer Harry Benson, who had access to Fischer before and during the 1972 championship.
EXCLUSIVE 'Childrens Hospital' Season 3 Sneak Peek
by Maggie Furlong, posted Apr 29th 2011 3:15PM
'Childrens Hospital' doesn't return for another couple of months (season 3 premieres Thursday, June 2, midnight ET on Adult Swim), but I got the exclusive preview the first two episodes of the new season, and it's definitely worth the wait.

They don't have any trailers or clips that I can share with you yet, but I do have scoop on the episodes, including some fun guest stars, and a few exclusive photos.
The season kicks off with 'Run Dr. Lola Spratt, Run.' Unfortunately some dumb kid chose the weekend to sink in some crazy quicksand, and we all know doctors don't work on the weekends. So, Sy (Henry Winkler) has to get the gang back together for the case.

'Childrens Hospital' Doctor Suffers Child (Inflicting) Abuse (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Nov 1st 2010 8:40AM
It's time to address child abuse on 'Childrens Hospital' (Sun., 12AM ET on CN). No, not in the way you think. We're talking physical abuse from a child. "Blake, I have a confession to make," says Owen. "I'm a battered doctor, and every day before work, this man beats me up.""You mean boy, because he's not a man. He's 10," says Blake. The two docs then argue about whether he's a 10-year-old boy or a man. (Owen is convinced he has a car and a full-time job.)

'Childrens Hospital': Chief Thinks Daughter's Boyfriend Is Child Molester (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Oct 25th 2010 10:05AM
On 'Childrens Hospital' (Sun., 12AM ET on CN), Chief (Megan Mullally) thinks the guy making out with her daughter is a child molester. She picks up the bag of lollipops on the end of the hospital bed and yells, "Where you're going, you're gonna get your lollipop licked plenty -- by a bunch of dudes!""Mom, this is my boyfriend," says her daughter (Lizzy Caplan). "I'm 27 years old. He's not a child molester because I'm not a child."
Still not convinced, Chief asks, "Where did he touch you? Honey, show me," and pulls out a plush duck. She and her BF reply "yes" to all the places her mother points to on the stuffed animal.
"Mom, everywhere. We've had sex." And her boyfriend has a large supply of lollipops and drives an "unmarked white van because [he is] an undercover lollipop salesman." Sure. That makes sense.
Coffee App Sends Cop to 'Childrens Hospital'; He Leaves with Cancer Diagnosis (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Oct 18th 2010 7:45AM
On 'Childrens Hospital' (Sun., 10:30PM ET on CN), Dr. Owen Maestro's former police partner shows up -- for coffee. His phone's new "third-party coffee app" lists the hospital as having "the best bean juice" within 10 miles. At first, Officer Briggs says he doesn't have time for a prostate exam, but Dr. Maestro counters, "Um, do ya have time for cancer?"
Briggs agrees to the checkup, and the results aren't good. Dr. Maestro shares the news as Briggs steps into the elevator to leave. So much for sensitive bedside manner.
'Childrens Hospital' -- When the Power Goes Out, the Insanity Kicks In (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Oct 11th 2010 7:30AM
On 'Childrens Hospital' (Sun., 10:30PM ET on Cartoon Network), the power goes off ... and everyone goes crazy. There's a terrible heat wave taking place -- and no electricity means no air conditioning. But after they're exposed to the heat, the doctors descend into madness. Things fall apart really quickly. Excessively quickly, even. You might shocked that a simple lack of AC could lead to an armed showdown, sexual assault, insane policemen, and a screaming clown. ... But then, maybe you've just never seen the show before. The satirical medical comedy is all about getting weird and getting offensive -- always has been, always will be.
How to Decide Whose Life to Save on 'Childrens Hospital' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 20th 2010 6:46AM
The doctors at 'Childrens Hospital' (Sun., 12AM on CN) faced a tough dilemma this week. As Dr. Richie (Ken Marino) described it, "What started out as a routine multiple pole impaling has become a socio-racial minefield."As always, 'Childrens Hospital' is at the forefront of brutal satire. With the two patients in question an elderly black man and a young white boy, they could tackle sensitive race issues in an intelligent and thoughtful manner.
Faced with the moral dilemma that could become a public relations fiasco for the hospital, the Chief (Megan Mullally) made the only rational decision she could. "My instinct is to let them both die," she told her staff, to their eager enthusiasm.
Could a Killer Be on the Loose in the Halls of 'Childrens Hospital'? (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 7th 2010 5:43AM
The expression, "I'd like to show her my [fill in the blank]" is usually a euphemism for something sexual. But apparently, when a man saw the Chief (Megan Mullally) of 'Childrens Hospital' (Sun., 10:30PM on CN) in her "sexy crippled doctor" costume, which we know as her regular clothes, he declared, "I'd like to show her my sexy costume."At a concerned and confused look from a nearby nurse, he clarified that he meant that he literally wanted her to see his sexy costume. "Not kill her!" he vehemently denied, which of course doesn't raise any suspicions.
Miracle Operation Turns Chief Into Eva Longoria on 'Childrens Hospital' (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Aug 9th 2010 4:25AM
On 'Childrens Hospital' (Sun., 10:30PM ET on CN), "surgeon" Dr. Max von Sydow wheels his latest patient out of the operating room and announces, "Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the new and improved Chief!" Out from under the sheet pops not Megan Mullally but Eva Longoria."Wait, what happened to her curves ... the curves in her spine?" one doctor asks.
Longoria poses between two gurneys, exposing her new curves. She gives a snarky answer -- and apparently still has a particularly personal handicap that she divulges with the staff.
Clowns Compete to Heal with Laughter on 'Childrens Hospital' (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Aug 2nd 2010 9:40AM
All the docs on television have their own way of showing off, whether via scalpel or obscure diagnosis. Dr. Blake Downs has his own gift inside the walls of the 'Childrens Hospital' (Sun., 10:30PM ET on CN), and no other medical practitioner will best him. The clown doctor must reign supreme.
When confronted with some competition, Blake says, "You have one week to perform a successful operation using only the healing power of laughter. If you fail, you hang up your balloony pants forever."
Ah, but this guy is not afraid: He's armed with a squeaky clown's horn.
Dry-Humping on 'Children's Hospital' (VIDEO)
by AOL TV Staff, posted Jul 26th 2010 10:18AM
'Children's Hospital' (Sundays at 10:30PM ET on Cartoon Network) is one of the more crazy shows on television, as this clip demonstrates. You'll see the punchline coming a mile away -- probably even two miles -- and it isn't very funny, though seeing Rob Corddry in clown makeup with a blood-stained doctor's shirt is always good for an uncomfortable laugh.
