Marlowe -- A look at the pilot script

by Bob Sassone, posted Apr 5th 2007 10:00AM
Raymond Chandler bookI'm a big fan of private eye TV shows and novels, and I've been thinking lately that they need to make a big comeback (sorry, Monk just isn't the same). Raines comes kinda close, but it's not quite the same thing. Judging from the script for the pilot of Marlowe, ABC's modern take on the classic Raymond Chandler character, it looks like it could be a return to the great private eye genre that TV fans have been waiting for.

The first thing I noticed is that, yes, the show is going to have voiceovers! Some people hate voiceovers, some people love them. I remember that Robert Parker hated the voiceover on Spenser: For Hire, when it was actually one of the cool things about the show. Live Lost Chat

by Ryan j Budke, posted Mar 22nd 2006 7:57PM
question mark; lost; american idol; decisionsSo this is the first week that we've had to deal with both a new episode of Lost and an episode of American Idol vying for our chatting attention at the same time. So here's what we're going to do-- for all intents and purposes, tonight will be a chat for the new episode of Lost, since tonight is the "fluff" night on American Idol anyways (we all only want to know one thing: "Who got voted off?"), I, and I'm sure a couple of our chat regulars, will be updating you with the going-ons of who's in the bottom 3, who got the boot, how intoxicated Paula was. You know, the good stuff. So, stop back here, to this very post, at 8pm EST tonight and that's when I'll unveil the location for our super secret chat room. So... much... TV goodness... can't.... take... it...

UPDATE:
Come one, come all; here is the secret location for our Lost Chat! See you inside.
