The TV Squad Team Gives TV Some New Year's Resolutions
by AOL TV Staff, posted Dec 30th 2010 2:00PM
We've reached the time of year when people talk about all the ways they're going to change in the new year. They want to lose weight, swear less, spend more time with friends, etc. But we all know what happens to New Year's resolutions... they're usually broken or discarded by the time you trudge to work after the holidays are over.So the folks here at TV Squad decided to do something a little bit different; for the most part, instead of giving ourselves resolutions to follow, we've decided give the powers that be running the various networks our wish list of what we're looking to see on TV in 2011. We're very generously giving our resolutions over to the TV folks, hoping to benefit the greater good of TV fans anywhere. If any of these come to pass, you'll know who you can thank.
A Superhuman on '20/20' (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Jun 2nd 2010 3:50AM
31-year old Daniel Tammet seems like a normal man. But beneath his unimposing exterior there lies an extraordinary human being.Daniel is an autistic savant. Which basically means that he's amazingly gifted in certain areas, but has trouble recognizing his own gifts. Daniel also has synesthesia -- which means that he combines his senses in ways that most people cannot.
'20/20' (Tue., 10PM ET on ABC) examines Daniel as part of the show's "superhuman" series. During the course of the show, Daniel displays his incredible gifts in a shockingly offhand way. He is capable, for instance, of reciting the number "Pi" (an infinite number) from memory, without a mistake -- for five hours and nine minutes.
And even though Daniel already speaks eight languages fluently, he also manages to master the Icelandic language in a single week. Incredible! We are speechless. If you're not impressed, then maybe you should try learning a new language in seven days sometime -- it's hard, we promise you.
Chris Cuomo to Co-Host '20/20'
by Rebecca Paiement, posted Dec 10th 2009 2:03PM
This just in: 'Good Morning America''s Chris Cuomo can start sleeping in a bit later. According to the AP, Cuomo is leaving his morning post and heading over to '20/20,' where he will co-host with Elizabeth Vargas.
This may finally complete the shuffling over at 'GMA,' which, as we reported earlier this week, has Diane Sawyer leaving her spot to take over 'World News.' ABC executives are expected to announce Sawyer's official replacement, George Stephanopoulos, this afternoon, according to the NY Daily News.

George Stephanopoulos could be the next host of Good Morning America
by Bob Sassone, posted Dec 3rd 2009 4:32PM
The Washington Post is reporting that George Stephanopolous has been offered the co-host job on Good Morning America. He hasn't take the job yet, but if he does he will replace Diane Sawyer, who we told you was going to take over for Charles Gibson when he vacates the anchor chair on World News. Gibson's last day will be Friday, December 18 and Sawyer's first day will be on Monday, December 21.
Part of the negotiations between Stephanopolous and the network revolve around the Sunday morning show he does now, This Week. He wants to keep that gig too while he works Monday through Friday on GMA. If he decides not to take the job for some reason, then current host Chris Cuomo could get the job (it must be odd to be the second choice even though you've done the exact job for a while). Whoever gets the spot will be co-host along with Robin Roberts.
George Stephanopoulos Should Replace Diane Sawyer on 'Good Morning America'
by Gary Susman, posted Oct 26th 2009 4:00PM
It's less than three months until Diane Sawyer replaces the retiring Charlie Gibson as the anchor of ABC's 'World News,' and yet there's no word on a successor for Sawyer as the star of ABC News' cash cow, 'Good Morning America.'You'd think the network would be auditioning newswomen for the post, but according to the Los Angeles Times, the network wants a man -- someone who, along with current 'GMA' co-host Robin Roberts, would restore the Ma-and-Pa dynamic that's been traditional for eons on network morning news shows. ABC is also looking to hire from within, the Times reports.
ABC fills empty slot at Good Morning America
by Anna Johns, posted Aug 22nd 2006 1:33PM
ABC News announced that Chris Cuomo will join the team at Good Morning America. Cuomo will retain his positions as co-anchor of Primetime Live and as the network's senior legal correspondent. So... that'll help when he has to interview Britney Spears. Actually, that'll be Robin Roberts' job. Cuomo is sliding into her old position as a news reader and features reporter. Cuomo joins GMA on Sept. 5.TV Squad Hot Topics
