Blair Tells Chuck It's Over on 'Gossip Girl' (VIDEO)

by Jane Boursaw, posted Apr 13th 2010 4:18AM
Gossip Girl, Blair tells Chuck it's overCould it really be the end for Chuck and Blair? We don't believe it, not for a second. Those two are made for each other, and we're optimistic that's how it'll play out on 'Gossip Girl' (Mon., 9PM ET on The CW).

And let's face it, Blair wants something that's just not possible, no matter who she's with – "real love, pure and simple love." No love is pure and simple! That's not how it works! Especially not for Blair!

The End of Chuck and Blair on 'Gossip Girl'? (VIDEO)

by Jane Boursaw, posted Apr 6th 2010 4:00AM
Gossip GirlOy vey! In a nod to 'Indecent Proposal,' Blair was all set to sleep with Jack in order to get Chuck's hotel back on 'Gossip Girl' (Mon., 9PM ET on The CW). And she totally would have done it because she loves Chuck.

But is that love misplaced? Blair didn't count on Chuck going behind her back and making a deal with Jack. It's a low blow, but we're pretty sure this isn't the end of Chuck and Blair. They're the dysfunctional heart of this show, after all.

Chuck's Mom is Back on 'Gossip Girl' (VIDEO)

by Jane Boursaw, posted Mar 16th 2010 2:47AM
Gossip Girl, Chuck's MomOh, Chuck. You've waited so long to learn the truth about your mom, and now that you know, it's not exactly the happy story you were hoping for on 'Gossip Girl' (Mon., 9PM ET on The CW).

Elizabeth gave birth to you when she was 19, but she didn't want to get married, even though Bart proposed. So he paid her off to keep her away, while you were left thinking she died in childbirth.

Hey, at least have a drink with her, buddy. You've come this far, for gosh sakes.

Does Chuck Find His Mom on 'Gossip Girl'? (VIDEO)

by Jane Boursaw, posted Mar 9th 2010 7:25AM
Gossip Girl, Chuck BassHmmm ... could Chuck Bass have found his mom? It's sort of looking that way, based on the last scene in this video from 'Gossip Girl' (Mon., 9PM ET on The CW).

Then again, this woman looks more like Blair, which would make for a really interesting storyline. But not all that unheard of on 'Gossip Girl.'

Anyway, Chuck's had plenty of nasty moments, but we hope he can figure all this out and re-connect with his mom. We're pullin' for ya, buddy.

Review: Gossip Girl - The Debarted

by Isabelle Carreau, posted Dec 8th 2009 12:40AM
Gossip Girl(S03E12) "I know today is the anniversary of his death." - Blair to Chuck

As Ryan said in comments to last week's post, "The Treasure of Serena Madre" would've been a great last episode of 2009 with all of the drama and excitement it contained, as well as the few cliffhangers. However, The CW decided otherwise and aired one more episode before the show goes on hiatus.

Now that I've seen "The Debarted," I agree with Ryan. The network should have ended 2009 with "The Treasure of Serena Madre" and air this week's installment in January as the sole new episode before the Olympics since it also ended with a few cliffhangers. Don't you agree?

'Gossip Girl' Halloween Costume: Serena and Blair

by Maggie Furlong, posted Oct 19th 2009 9:25PM
Gossip GirlThe Costume: 'Gossip Girl' kids

What You'll Need: For Serena, you need lots of chunky rings and long necklaces, some bohemian-inspired clothes with a touch of sparkle, layered and mismatched just so, tall boots and long wavy blonde locks.

For Blair, put on something printed and prissy, with tights, sparkly flats and long brown hair. You can make the look more "high school Blair" simply by adding a headband. Target has Anna Sui's 'GG'-inspired line in stores now. Also, if friends have already claimed these costumes, say you're going as the kids from 'NYC Prep.' Same thing.

Gossip Girl goes gay

Everybody thought that Chuck and Blair were going to be the Upper East Side's hottest couple on Gossip Girl this season, but it looks like we were wrong. According to Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello, the hook-up that everyone is going to be talking about won't be between Chuck and Blair, Dan and Serena, or even Nate and Vanessa/Jenny/Blair/Serena/random moms. It's totally going to be between two dudes.

While one of the guys in question is going to be a newcomer to the show, the other one is a character that Gossip Girl fans know very well. For all of you super spoilerphobes out there, I'll stop here, but for the rest of you, click through for more details.

Gossip Girl's gag reel makes me laugh

by Jane Boursaw, posted Aug 24th 2009 5:03PM
Gossip Girl, Blake LivelyHaving just watched all of these scenes this past week (read my yammer in Jane After Dark), I found this gag reel for season two of Gossip Girl pretty hilarious. I always wonder what wacky hijinks take place behind the scenes, what the actors are like during filming, and how things can go horribly wrong with the cameras still rolling. So I love watching the outtakes on DVD sets.

My favorite here is the scene where an ultra-dandified Chuck is on the Yale campus, and the dudes grab him and stuff the sack over his head. Or rather, TRY to stuff the sack over his head. And then there's Leighton Meester, who is so indelibly "Blair Waldorf" in my head that it's weird seeing her crack up and talk in funny voices. I can't imagine trying to compose myself for a scene after cracking up take after take.

Fun Find: 'Gossip Girl' Puppet Recaps

by Maggie Furlong, posted Jan 22nd 2009 3:00PM
Serena, Blair Chuck and the gang look really good on paper! Maggie searches the Web so you don't have to ...

Sure the characters on 'Gossip Girl' seem a bit one-dimensional at times, but I never thought that actually seeing them flattened would make my day.

SOAPnet.com has managed to do just that with their weekly 'Gossip Girl' Finger Puppet Parody. While they might not be the same as watching the full episodes, it sure does make me realize the depth of the characters' issues.

What do you say: Am I the last one to know about these brilliant shorts? Are you loving them as much as I am? And what other show would you like to see dramatically recapped through puppetry?

Four types of TV gals to avoid

by Bob Sassone, posted Oct 24th 2008 1:01PM
Angela - The OfficeJudy McGuire writes a column titled "The Frisky," and in her latest she lists the four types of TV guys that women should avoid. She singles out Chuck Bass (Gossip Girl), Hank Moody (Californication), Vince Chase (Entourage), and Don Draper (Mad Men).

So in the interest of equal time, I thought I'd list the four gals that male readers/TV viewers should avoid at all costs.

1. Angela Martin and Meredith Palmer (The Office). Angela has zero sense of humor and is completely controlling, with a weird jealousy streak that lies underneath the surface. Plus she's really strict, and not in the good way.

Meredith is a complete mess on so many levels.
