'Chuck' Set Visit: Yvonne Strahovski and Carrie-Anne Moss Share Nudist Colony Intel (EXCLUSIVE CLIP)

by Laura Prudom, posted Dec 8th 2011 10:40AM
Chuck castToday is a bittersweet day for loyal 'Chuck' fans, as the show wrapped its final night of filming just a few hours ago. But even though the cameras have stopped rolling, the Buy More lives on -- at least for nine more episodes, the first of which airs tomorrow night (Fri., Dec. 9, 8PM ET on NBC).

AOL TV was on set for the filming of 'Chuck versus the Hack Off,' which was also the final episode of the series that Zachary Levi directed. It guest-stars 'Community' favorite Danny Pudi, 'Lost' alum Eric Lange and ass-kicking 'Matrix' heroine Carrie-Anne Moss, and judging by what we saw during our visit, it promises to be one of the show's most hilarious episodes yet.

We caught up with Moss and Yvonne Strahovski to get the scoop on why Chuck, Sarah and Gertrude find themselves infiltrating a cult; Levi's directing style; and what Strahovski was feeling as the show neared its end. We also have an exclusive -- and revealing -- preview of tomorrow night's episode, so read on for more.

EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Douchebag Morgan Causes Friction on 'Chuck'

by Maureen Ryan, posted Nov 10th 2011 10:00AM
What the heck is up with Morgan? Why is the 'Chuck' character sporting truly unfortunate hair?

Mysteries abound when it comes to the Bearded One. Ever since the former Buy More clerk had the Intersect downloaded to his brain, he's become more and more of a jerk.

In this clip from 'Chuck Versus the Frosted Tips,' Friday's episode of the show, former Intersect Chuck Bartowski takes his best friend Morgan to task for, well, being a douche.

'Chuck' season premiere - 'Chuck Versus the Zoom'Did you catch the season premiere of 'Chuck' (Fri., 8PM ET on NBC) this past Friday? How about when NBC re-airs it this Saturday after those dismal ratings opposite Game 7 of the World Series? It's a whole new game, with a whole new Intersect.

With Morgan as the Intersect, newlyweds Chuck and Sarah have established Carmichael Industries, where they can basically continue doing what they used to do ... only as free agents now. In this season premiere, they had to face off against Craig Kilborn!

'Chuck' and 'Grimm' Swing & Miss Opposite World Series, But Will Re-Air Saturday Night

by Alex Moaba, posted Oct 29th 2011 1:45PM
NBC was the only major network that decided to plow ahead with its scheduled Friday premieres, even though they were going up against Game 7 of the World Series. Fox had benched its breakout hit 'New Girl' for the entire series and CBS decided Friday to hold a new episode of 'A Gifted Man' until next week.

Well, the ratings are in, and it appears NBC's decision to air 'Chuck' and 'Grimm' was as dubious as some of Tony La Russa's moves in Game 5. But just like the Cardinals manager, both shows will get a chance at redemption.

According to TVLine, Chuck's Season 5 premiere pretty much bombed. Only 3.4 million viewers watched, a paltry 1.0 rating in the coveted 18-49 year old demo. Series creator Josh Schwartz joked about Chuck's low ratings, tweeting, "Well Chuck premiere is on again tonight. In case you missed it. Which it seems you might have..."

Capitalizing on some pre-Halloween momentum, the spooky procedural 'Grimm' premiered much stronger, notching 6.5 million total viewers and a 2.1 demo rating.

To atone for the scheduling snafoo, NBC will re-air both premieres on Saturday night, with 'Chuck' at 8PM ET and 'Grimm' at 9PM ET and also Tuesday night on SyFy.

After the jump, check out some clips from both shows.

Fox Bumps 'Fringe' for Baseball, Will NBC Bump 'Grimm' and 'Chuck'?

by Catherine Lawson, posted Oct 28th 2011 7:08AM
'Grimm'Last night's thrilling Game 6 was just fantastic for baseball fans, but has produced headaches of epic proportions for the schedulers at the TV networks.

Having wreaked havoc on the schedules at Fox for a couple of weeks already, the imminent championship-deciding Game 7 tonight may also prompt some gnashing of teeth elsewhere.

Game 7 means that Fox will have to reschedule 'Fringe' and 'Kitchen Nightmares,' but they've had a few days in which to consider their options. And 'Fringe' fans are already used to setting their DVRs to catch new episodes as the series is regularly bounced around the Fox schedule anyway. But what about 'Grimm?'

EXCLUSIVE Season 5 Video Preview and Fond Thoughts about 'Chuck's' Final Run

by Maureen Ryan, posted Oct 27th 2011 9:30AM
The return of 'Chuck' (8PM Friday, NBC) is something to celebrate, but this fall's Nerd Herd party has a bittersweet quality, given that this is the last season of the show.

When season 5 ends, we'll have to say goodbye to the Intersect, say sayonara to Jeffster and swear off John Casey's grunts forever. We'll get no more celebratory Comic-Con love-ins in which the cast and producers tease fans with intel on the next round of espionage antics. No more Castle, no more secret missions, no more touching nerd romances and bromances.

Wait, wait, don't leave! I didn't mean to bring you down. But facts must be faced. Now that we've done the hard part, let's get to the good stuff: In honor of 'Chuck's' Friday return, let's celebrate the things that are most enjoyable about the show's new season.

According to TV Guide, Shannon makes her debut on the Nov. 23 episode. Her role could become recurring.

Shannon will pop on 'The Middle' as Frankie Heck's sister and recently appeared as a co-host on 'The Talk.'

NBC Delays Premieres of 'Chuck' and 'Grimm'

by Catherine Lawson, posted Oct 3rd 2011 6:30AM
'Chuck' castIt's that time in the fledgling fall season when talk turns to which shows will be cancelled and which will survive. Network schedulers often have to tweak the lineup depending on how various shows are doing in the ratings.

Which is why we're interested to hear that NBC -- home of struggling newbies 'The Playboy Club' and 'Free Agents' -- has decided to push back the premiere episodes of new drama 'Grimm' and old favorite 'Chuck.'

According to HitFix, both premieres will now air on October 28, one week later than originally planned, so that NBC can promote the debut of fairy tale-inspired 'Grimm' closer to Halloween.

Talking TV Podcast Talks 'Louie' and 10 Returning Shows We're Excited About

by Maureen Ryan, posted Sep 8th 2011 2:15PM
With the onslaught of new shows around the corner, Ryan McGee and I decided to talk briefly about 10 returning programs we're quite interested in (we each picked five shows).

And of course, the word "brief" was in our podcast planning documents, but it didn't quite work out that way. Between our opening gabfest about the FX show 'Louie,' which concludes its second season tonight, and the discussions of the other 10 shows, the podcast ended up being about 90 minutes long.

The rundown of shows we discussed, which includes 'The Good Wife,' 'Supernatural,' 'Boardwalk Empire,' 'Luther' and 'Glee,' is below.
