  • The CW has a new Friday Night Smackdown at 8.
  • HGTV has a new Designed To Sell at 8, followed by new eps of 24 Hour Design, Under 1 Roof, and Save Us From Our House.
  • Sci-Fi has a new Doctor Who at 8, then a new Battlestar Galactica.

  • Over on FOX at 8, a new, two-hour (two-hour???) Trading Spouses: Meet Your New Mommy.
  • The CW has a new Friday Night Smackdown! at 8.
  • PBS has a new NOW at 8, followed by new eps of Washington Week and AIR: America's Investigative Reports.
  • TLC has an all-new lineup tonight: two new episodes of Take Home Chef at 8, then new episodes of What Not To Wear, Cover Shot, and Cover Shot.
  • On Food Network at 8, Emeril gets "crazy" in the kitchen, whatever that means.
  • Sci-Fi has a new Doctor Who at 8, followed by a new Battlestar Galactica.
  • The History Channel has the special How William Shatner Changed The World. It's on at 8 too.

  • At 8, ABC has college football, Penn State vs. Michigan.
  • CBS has a repeat Close To Home at 8, followed by a repeat Cold Case and a new 48 Hours.
  • TLC has two new episodes of Little People, Big World at 8.
  • It's not Christmas yet, but check out Bad Santa on Comedy Central anyway. It's one of the great comedies of all-time.
  • More 8pm movies: TCM has A Place in the Sun, while AMC has The Last Samurai.
  • At 10, HGTV has a new Design on a Dime.
  • For some reason, NBC is repeating the season opener of SNL, with Dane Cook and The Killers.

Old Christine, Close to Home get renewed

new adventures of old christine; julia louis-dreyfusCongratulations to Julia Louis-Dreyfus! CBS just signed on for a second season of The New Adventures of Old Christine. Maybe now everybody can stop talking about that 'Seinfeld curse' that she parodied on SNL last week. I watch the show and I think it has some funny moments, but it's not great like The Office or My Name is Earl or Scrubs. Doesn't even come close. Also renewed by CBS is Close to Home and renewal of The Unit is still up in the air. The network ordered 13 episodes of The King of Queens (that's still on?) because Kevin James is shooting a movie with Adam Sandler this year.
