Via Adult Swim HQ comes news that the charges against the two men who placed various Aqua Teen Hunger Force displays around Boston have had the charges against them dropped.

Peter Berdovsky and Sean Stevens were hired by a marketing firm in New York to place various light boxes around Boston that featured a Mooninite giving the finger. They have since been performing community service as part of their plea.

Cartoon Network set up a guerrilla marketing campaign in several major cities to drum up interest in the movie Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters. It was in Boston, however, that that the marketing stunt backfired when the displays were mistaken for bombs and the two artists subsequently arrested. By the time it was all over, the president of Cartoon Network had resigned and Turner broadcasting had paid two million to the cities of Boston, Somerville and Cambridge.

What is it with 30 Rock stars, anyway? Tracy Morgan and drinking, Alec Baldwin and crazy phone calls. Are we going to hear soon that Tina Fey beat up an old lady for her shoes?

Morgan reached a deal with authorities regarding his drunk driving arrest back in November, which violated his probation (he was arrested before). He won't go to jail, but he will have to wear a SCRAM, which apparently stands for Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitoring. It's an ankle bracelet that detects alcohol vapors coming through the skin. Yeesh. What happens if you spill rubbing alcohol on it, or eat rum cake?

He'll be tested every half hour for 90 days (!) I wonder if there were any rural jurors who decided his fate or just a judge?

This is getting really hard to follow, but I'll try to explain it.

First, the ex-Lost star was arrested in Hawaii for drunk driving. Then she decided to go to jail instead of performing community service. She was released after 5 days. Then, the judge sent her back to jail for 60 days because that arrest had violated the probation of an earlier arrest in Los Angeles. Now Rodriguez is out of jail again. Total time spent of that 60 day sentence: about 4 1/2 hours.

The reason this time: "overcrowding."

Jay Mohr isn't going to be hosting the new season of Last Comic Standing, but he is coming back to NBC. This time he'll be starring in Community Service, a comedy about an arrogant New Yorker who travels to a small Ohio town to win back a girl. Unfortunately he doesn't win her affection, but he does wind up stuck in the town doing community service; hence the name of the show. Christopher Wiehl of Love Monkey plays a local cop and football hero. I'm going to file this under "wait and see." I like Jay Mohr, but he doesn't always fare well unless he's given the right show.
